Using the R2, I have noticed that my CPU fan is constantly on. Probably due to firefox being open at same time, and my cpu is an AMD E-450 (netbook). With ProgDVB, it doesn't heat up the same, but ProgDVB is buggy.
I looked at task manager, and see that NRECORD.EXE is running too.
I don't record, just watch live TV. Is there a way to make NextPVR lighter?
I'ts a few days I'm gladly using NPVR.
I use it to record TV shows captured with a cheap chinese USB2 Tuner based on AF9015.
My problems with DX, after installing the patches, have being completely resolved.
By now I'd like to record the medias directly to my NAS, to watch later the videos on TV with the media player;
but every time I try to change the record path to redirect on the network HDD I get an error and I need to restart the Nrecord module after resetting a local path.
Does anybody encountered the same problem?
here there is my "crash.mdmp" file.
thank you everybody!
PS:
I use Antivir
Windows Firewall is disabled
Comodo Firewall is set to do not block, Npvr.exe, Nrecord.exe, Ntray.exe
Wasn't sure whether to post it here or in the main thread, decided to try here first.
I'm having trouble with audio sync on the MVP with mpg-files. When I worked with gb-pvr 1.3.7 I think I could correct the problem with a small skip (backwards usually), but I'm not sure because these are usually the kids movies and I don't always watch with them.
So, I have a lot of dvd's for the kids. I think it's not possible to watch the ifo's and vob's, so I converted them into mpg's. Not all of them, but a lot, have these audio sync problems. I tried tmpgenc and anydvdconverter for conversion, but I'm not sure if that makes much of a difference.
Is it the mpg-filetype? Would it be better to use another type? If so, which one? And do I keep the skip possibilities with it?
Just to make this post complete, I have added a link to download a fragment of an mpg-movie I'm having this problem with (150MB cut): http://www.megaupload.com/?d=I7PHW0NH
And wanted to add that I don't have this problem with recorded (ts) files and only on the MVP.
Live tv is working in gbpvr but in npvr there is a black piture and no sound. Though the live .ts file is created and plays ok and also recordings aswell.
I installed npvr because gbpvr wasn't picking up all the channels after the transmitter switched over, npvr picks them all up with the scan offsets option but there is just this problem with no picture/sound in live tv.
I have been looking on the wiki at the plugin section to see what plugins I need to do skins for & even though there are still not a lot of plugins for NextPVR one thing that stood out was the number of (for want of a better description) "utility type plugins" amongst the normal plugins....... I wonder if it would be less confusing if there was another section for these type of plugins especially when the plugin section starts to get a lot more in it??
Many years ago I nicked an idea from this very forum where pressing the Green power button would EITHER open PVRX2 OR focused upon it were an instance already running. The code for this in the Irremote.ini used to be:
I've replaced the Run bit with the location of nPVR.exe but I can't get the FindWnd/WndClass business to work but then I've no idea quite how it works - just nicked the idea from some great mind here
I am using Windows XP with a Hauppauge Nova T card and am not able to record the UK channel 4(and it's sister channels ,I just get a 0byte recording, there is no picture for them in live tv and no program guide over the air, although xmltv seems fine.
I also have a no sound issue on all the live tv programs, although they do record with sound, any help is appreciated,
