I have seen a few instances of this recently. Wondering if it is anything to do with autosearch+autorecords?
Same show, weird duplicate recording of same show on ONE tuner? See red bar on top of guide AND the guide at same time.
Sometimes, I just get red bar at top, but I suspect when I get both it records both??? :confused:
I'm hoping that someone can help me with this one.
The first recording that I make with NPVR works perfectly, playback is fine. Any subsequent recordings seem to record OK, but when you look at the file it is 0KB and doesn't contain any data. A reboot fixes the issue and the first recording works ok, any subsequent recordings fail.
My system looks like this:
Windows 7 32bit
NPVR 2.2.6 with Patches R2
Pinnacle PCTV Nano 73e
I have tried moving to get a plugins to work on my Windows 7 system and no matter what I do they don't work. I have moved the plugin to the data directory, restart the machine and nothing appears under plugins. Is there something else I need to do to get them to work. I have the system and tv listing plugin so far and nothing....
Started using nPVR, and updated to R2. Observed a few problems/improvements.
1) There are some audio sync problems.
2) Would be nice if window size and position be remembered when going to and from fullscreen.
3) Hotkeys could be improved by using single keys rather than keys plus modifier keys (alt, ctrl, etc.)
4) Stay on Top is not remembered.
Hi,
I used Skystar HD2 card with GbPVR. In fact this is rebranded Twinhan VP-1041/Azurewave AD-SP400.
To work with diseq switch I had to modify the section in bda.ini, adding diseqc line identical to other Twinhan cards:
[TechniSat SkyStar HD2]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
FILTER_TUNER=TechniSat Mantis DVBS BDA Receiver
FILTER_CAPTURE=TechniSat Mantis DVBS Capture BDA Receiver
SUPPORTS_BDA_DISEQC=4
ONLY_SCAN_ON_LOCK=1
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
And now the problem/question.... There is no bda.ini file for NPVR, neither NPVR supports diseq for Skystar HD2.
Is there any way to modify individual settings within NPVR?
How to add diseqc support for NPVR?
I have two, dual tuners (hauppage 2250 internal tuners). Prior to switching to NPVR for my recording the quality of my recordings was excellent 99% of the time, and the extra 1% I could confirm came from cable provider issues.
Now I am getting a lot of poor recordings on all channels. All I can tell is that in these cases I noticed that the recording was duplexed/multiplex (if these terms mean something different please explain them), with two to four shows on a single tuner, leaving two tuners open and unused.
Is there a way to tell NPVR to utilize ALL tuners and only double up on one if absolutely necessary??? I think this will improve the quality of my recordings!
I was recently without power for 5 days, so missed a few recordings. I've now acquired these recordings as .avi files. Some of these files have no audio when played with PCH, but have audio when played on PC. Obviously it is the audio format of the files. Not obviously (to me) is how to rectify this, or even tell what the problem is. Is there a setting for the PCH that may handle this, or a tool to reencode the avi? I usually use VideoReDo for these type of repairs, but it does not handle avi files.
