I run all my audio out through my reciever via spdif optical. Under Mediaportal it was able to be controlled via MCE remote, but under Next it wont work that way.
I have a NPVR setup which can now (using SAF codecs) watch all channels in Freeview in NZ so basically a mix of HD/SD. This part is working fine.
Recordings is another issue, if recorded from SD (MPEG) recordings can be watched fine. If recorded from HD the recording plays fine etc, but with no sound. This is basically on any channel containing an AC3 stream.
I've recorded a short snapshot and opened it in Graphstuido (after much forum reading this seemed to be a common tool) and it looks fine.
Can anyone else see the problem here? I seem to have every AC3 filter triggered. If i delete all the audio filters and link the Audio out --> Default waveout it drops all the filters back in again.
Can anyone offer any advice on why this might be happening and how do i "re-map" the codecs?
My server finally died so I'm building another. Loading everything on to the new machine. I downloaded the comskip zip file (v0.80.042) and there is no comcodec.dll file, as the wiki indicates. Am I missing something? Is this not needed?
In the process of bughunting I tried to untick the "Enable WEB-server" in Settings and restarted recording service and NextPVR, but the gadget showing pending recordings still works, and I can connect to that pc via my browser and display the tv guide. Do I have to reboot to make this setting efficient?
Been using 2.2.6 with R2 patches applied for about a week now (really like it) and found tonight that when I skip or seek forwards or backwards while watching live TV I always get sent back to the beginning of the available TV Buffer. Happens on all channels and all capture devices. I have attached a log file that appears to show whats happening. These functions are working fine when watching other sources such as recordings.
