Hi, I haven't looked at the actual plugin framework for a while, and just scoping out some of the groundwork I need. But can IMenuTask( I think?) .PlayVideoFile call a file from a URL or must it be a UNC path?
This may or may not mean that I'm back on the tools....
The XMBC info scraper I Use creates episode screen shots with tbn file extensions. these are jpg files but with a tbn extension.
I'm curious if there is a config file that you can specify the file extensions to load in the video info plugin?
First real issue I have had with NPVR. I scheduled 3 recordings back to back on the same station. All 3 have some type of problem.
First show was The Simpsons at Oct 30, 8:00-8:30. This actually recorded in full and I can watch it in NPVR. The only issue is that I can't skip forward or back when watching. The screen just goes blank when I try to skip.
Second recording was Allen Gregory at Oct 30, 8:30-9:00. This gave me a recording that was about 3 minutes long but it was the video of the first 3 minutes of the next show, Family Guy.
The last recording was Family Guy at Oct 30, 9:00-9:30. This gave me an unplayable file (tried VLC and MPC) that was pretty small in size.
I have 4 identical HDHomerun tuners in my server but when watching Live TV on a client PC it uses the tuner I'm watching Live TV on for recording and bumps me from the show I'm watching live. Three of the tuners are free and I can select the live program again from the guide and it starts playing but why doesn't it use one of the free tuners instead of bumping the one currently being used for live tv?
I've been using NPVR for a couple of weeks now. A great application, much better than WMC. However, I have one annoyance that I'd like to fix. When you are changing channels, some program info and show notes appear at the bottom of the screen for about 1-2 seconds and I can never read the whole thing before it disappears. I've looked in the settings to change this but no luck. I assume I can change it by tweaking the config.xml file?
Can someone point me to the right setting to change?
My Dad also runs NPVR, and he rang with a sound issue a couple of days ago. He told me that the sound was being produced with an echo on some recordings..
Have had a look, and discovered is specific to NZ TV3. Was caused by AAC and AC3 audio being played at the same time. Have fixed (masked) by disabling the AC3 decoder.
Played OK in VLC.
Was working OK so not sure what changed... Is this likely to be an NPVR bug, or something in the system?? (don't have logs sorry, but could get in a few days...)
Running latest NPVR with all patchs. SAF6 (unlocked) on Win732 home.
As an aside, he also get video slow down while moving the mouse (time line displayed). Don't get that here, and was wondering if maybe video card performance issue ?? I have HD6670, while he is running a HD34XX
I would have thought the HD34XX would have been OK....
I am having two problems with the npvr that id like to get help with. Fist and probably most importantly I get a black screen when I go to live tv. Second when i click tv guide It says no show detail for all the channels and times.
I have Hauppauge 418 tuner. It seems like the NPVR picks up my tunner just fine. when i check devices it has:
Atsc Hauppauge WinTV 418 BDA Tuner
QAMHauppauge WinTV 418 BDA Tuner
Analog Hauppauge WinTV 418Video Capture
I clicked analog hauppauge winTV video capture and was able to scan all my channels in.
After that everything looked to be in order...but it still doesnt work. Any suggestions on how to get this program working? I hate the software that came with the haippauge and this software seems quite a bit better...
Out of over 80 channels, for some reason, I have two that have audio, but no video. The channels do work on televisions throughout the house. In the configuration program, in setting up the capture sources, the same problem does occur.
I'm running an HVR2250, and my signal is Clear-QAM for all channels.
