When dowloading gadget it will be saved as NPVRStatus.zip. After downloading you will need to change the extension from .zip to .gadget and then double click on the file to install it to the gadget control panel.

Is anyone running comskip with different settings for different channels? I'v been thinking about it, because it don't seems to be a single setup that works good for all channels. Ie, if I tune comskip for Fox Crime, I can get split second precision commercial skipping, but if I run comskip with that same setup on History channel HD, it almost misses everything and skips random. So does anyone have a good suggestion here?
I am trying to setup a client on a Windows7 machine but it can't access the db3 file on the Windows XP server. I have the NPVR folder, under application data of the Windows XP, shared. I can see all other folders on the server from the client just fine. Is there something else I need to change?
Sub, I noticed I can't go back or forward with 0+skip in NPVR like we were able to in GBPVR. Is there a different way of doing it now? If not do you plan on implementing it into NPVR soon. I would use this feature fairly often.
I'm torn between a full rip (ISO, DVD folder) and movie only (AVI, MKV, ...?). Disk space and quality are the considerations. In my initial tests with DVDFab the ISO was 4GB and the video files were around 800mb to 1GB.
Hi, I'm still quite new to the whole PVR game, having started using nPVR about 3 months ago.
nPVR has worked great for me so far, congrats (and Thank You!) to the devs.
I recently switched to hdtv and replaced my 2250 with a Colossus card.
It's working great and the image quality is awesome.
I would like to know how the capture is setup as far as bitrate, resolution, interleaving and framerate are concerned.
If the STBis set to output 720p, will the Colossus produce a 30fps progressive video?
Is it possible to detect image resolution from a components source?
Also there is one issue I cannot figure out so far.
On some channels (not all, and not only hd channels) I periodically get a black screen withthe message "encrypted content" in white lettering appearing for around 5 seconds. Audio continues normally during message. Video resumes normally after the message. After several minutes, it will reappear.
It may be more related to programs than to channels.
My current setup is Cisco 4642 STB, YPbPr to Colossus, DVI from PC to TVs HDMI (Panasonic S30)
Is this message produced by the STB? I could not find anything after some serious googling.

How do I keep the programming information (EPG info, channel number, timeline bar, etc.) from appearing at the bottom of the screen when I am paused using CTRL-Q - it is in the way and most annoying. Thank you.
I finally decided to move from GBPVR to NPVR. I noticed a small glitch with all of my imported shows. When you select each show and it brings up the option to play, the channel icon and channel number in that info screen are incorrect. For all of my imported shows it put the icon and channel number of the first channel in the guide, in my case it is channel 78 MSG. All new recordings have had the correct channel icon and number in that info screen.
