I would like to request adding the ability to display a TV show subtitle in the video screen. Currently, NPVR reads an xml file like this:

and can display the TV show description. I was hoping to also add the TV show Subtitle.
Does anybody have problems skipping back ? I am on 2.2.6 now but I had the same problem on 2.2.5
Especially on recorded programs, It just refuses to skip back beyond a point.
It only just jumps a few seconds back (and sometimes forward!!) regardless of how many times/fast I press the skip back button.
Skipping forward works ok (ish) , jumpin 30 to 1 minute a time.
Also just noticed the subtitles are out of sync (by half a minute or so) on recroded programs ... Need to investigate that.
Painfull, aarghhhh . Sorry not much details right now, just frustrated.

I don't know why the tuner didn't lock [may be my custom tuning freqs] but I am surprised that NPVR tried to record unlocked.

I have the latest 2.2.6 but this also happened on the older 2.0.3 - then I upgraded but it didnt help -
I have not used NPVR to record a TV show now for months (Summer in Europe - nothing to record) but now the shows are starting again.
When I time record something in the future either one of the following happens:
1. The .ts file is 0 bytes long or
2. The .ts file is some length - often 15:30 but NOT the 2hours the movie should have been.
Here is last nights example I would love some help on. - I have cut and pasted this bit so you can look more closely at the time. So 2309-00:57 but the file is only 15:30 long.

Does anyone have a copy of Zehd's Slick Skin Video Library Skin he tweaked to show the buttons? His old post has a link but the attachment has been deleted. If someone has it and can post it I would much appreciate it.
After 2.5 years of using GBPVR, I made the switch to NPVR a couple of months back. Very happy so far as it's finally allowed me to use my PCH on a 2nd TV - with GBPVR I had to record in DVR-MS format which was not supported by PCH.
The only issue is that my 1TB hard disk very quickly became full. Maybe the TS format takes more disk than DVR-MS format?
I have a 2nd 1TB disk (F drive) in the PVR that I would like to start putting new recordings on. F drive is non-boot, so the whole disk can be used for recordings, instead of sharing with the Windows system files like it does currently on C drive.
So my only question is: can I change the Recordings Directory from C:\somewhere to F:\somewhere and NPVR will seamlessly manage ok? My 2 main concerns are:
a) Recurring recordings should still be listed together even if some are on C: and some on F:
b) Auto delete of recordings will work ok when some are on C: and some on F: (i.e. when deleting an old recording to make way for a new recurring recording)
Now that NPVR will benefit cablecard users, it might be helpful to know your rights so you don't get ripped off. You'd be surprised how many phone techs haven't been updated on the new rules that came out very recently. http://www.fcc.gov/guides/cablecard-know-your-rights
New rules went into effect on August 8, 2011, that clarified and expanded rights for owners of CableCARD-ready devices. Here are a few things you need to know.
Pay only for equipment you have. Your operator must give you a discount on any packages that include the price of a set-top box if you choose to use your own CableCARD-enabled device. FCC Rule 76.1205(b)(5).
Accurate information on the rental cost of a CableCARD from your provider. Your operator must list the cost of a CableCARD rental on its website or billing inserts and on its annual rate notice, and must provide you with this information when you call. FCC Rule 76.1205(b)(5), 76.1602(b). Typically operators charge $2-4 per month to rent a CableCARD.
Self-install your CableCARD. Effective August 8, 2011, cable operators must allow self-installation of CableCARDs if they allow self-installation of other equipment, such as digital boxes or cable modems. By November 1, 2011, all cable operators must allow self-installation of CableCARDs. Your operator may decline your request for self-installation if your equipment manufacturer or vendor does not provide you with instructions on how to install a CableCARD and offer a toll-free telephone number for product support. FCC Rule 76.1205(b)(1).
Receive the number of CableCARDs you request. If you opt for a professional installation by your cable operator, the technician must arrive with at least the number of CableCARDs you request. FCC Rule 76.1205(b)(3). If you opt for self installation your operator must provide them to you through their normal self-installation procedures (for example by mailing them to you or letting you pick them up at the operatorâs local retail location). Some CableCARD devices may require two CableCARDs to access all features. Refer to your user manual for more information.
Receive a multi-stream CableCARD unless you request otherwise. FCC Rule 76.1205(b)(2). If you have a retail device with more than one tuner and that device supports multi-stream CableCARDs, one multi-stream CableCARD can allow you to access multiple simultaneous channels.
Receive all âlinearâ channels (channels other than âon-demandâ) in your subscription package. This includes premium channels and specialty channels. For some channels delivered using a technique called âswitched digital video,â you may need a second device called a âtuning adapter.â This device is typically provided at no additional charge to CableCARD customers. FCC Rule 76.1205(b)(4). CableCARD-ready devices currently cannot receive your cable operatorâs Video on Demand services.
If your cable operator does not resolve your concern, you may file a complaint with the FCC and/or your local franchise authority. To file your complaint with the Commission, click on www.fcc.gov/complaints.
Has anyone experience of this board/processor. The low energy aspect sounds ideal but I am wondering if it is up to the job. I want to upgrade to HD [UK Freeview], it would need to handle probably no more than recording 2 TV chanels and Comskip at the same time.
I have searched the forum but have found only 1 reference so suspect it might not be ideal. Any advice would be appreciated.
