  Windows Sidebar Gadget
Posted by: Nistrod - 2011-06-08, 12:07 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (22)

Somewhere, down in the dark depths of history, I installed the NEWA gadget.
It has turned red, suddenly.

What is it telling me?

Maybe I am old, blind and/or feeble-minded, but I can find nothing on this gadget, and I cannot remember where I got it!

Anyone have any info?

  Channels Missing
Posted by: starman316 - 2011-06-07, 09:58 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

Moved from TIVme, bundled software with my usb freeview tuner to NextPVR follwed all instructions but missing some channels

in particular the weaker MUX (viva) and (4music)

I was able to receive these using the old software but the NextPVR is not picking them up in the scan Sad

the channels are receivable ok on other tv's in the house

Love the software much better, as tivme had no order of channels

any idea's?

device is DVB-T IT9135 BDA Filter (usb freeview stick) on a rooftop amplified aerial

cheers

Lee

NPVR, H264 & DXVA on Win XP
Posted by: newyankee - 2011-06-07, 08:57 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

I am in the process of fully moving to npvr.

I have previously used GBPVR with VMR9 custom and PDVD8 decoder for H264 and DXVA. All working on an older P4 3200 and NVIDIA 9500 GT. CPU load <10%

Now on npvr, I can't get DXVA working anymore. CPU load is constantly close to 100%. I have tested VMR9 custom, other renderes don't really work. ffdshow= no picture at all. PDVD 8 and 11 (SAF 6 unl) = no DXVA. Arcsoft = no DXVA and really bad stuttering.

What are my options?

Thanks
Guido

DVD menu not displaying (can't see it but there)
Posted by: gunterhausfrau - 2011-06-07, 03:58 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I'm having an issue with the current (just updated, June 6) and the previous. Maybe a codex issue?

if I go into a dvd that I have ripped onto the hard drive (videos), some of the dvd's menus do not display/update graphic. I can tell I am in the menu as the audio is running, and if I select blindly the menu behaves, but I just can't see it. Not all DVD's show this, but some do. If I use another program, such as DVD media player classic, the menu looks ok and works properly, but not in nPVR. (does this make sense?)

any ideas?

Thanks.

Going round in circles with the "psisdecd.dll bug"
Posted by: bgowland - 2011-06-06, 08:51 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Just spent 20 minutes searching the forums trying to find an answer to this...

Can somebody give me a definitive answer as to which version of the psisdecd.dll is considered "good" when running XP SP3.

My current version is 6.5.2600.5512.

Cheers,
Brian

  broken pvr-350?
Posted by: stefan - 2011-06-06, 08:37 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

Hi,

My motherboard recently broke down, and I have now finally had it exchanged. Got things up and running fairly easily, but it seems my old pvr-350 got a bit upset by it all. After I exchanged the motherboard it now randomally freezes. Well, if I watch live tv (no timeshift), the picture freezes suddenly. This can happen after a couple of hours, or after a few minutes. I haven't found any pattern to when it happens. If I record stuff, then it suddenly just stops recording sometimes. I'm assuming it's the same underlying cause.

Any ideas what might be wrong? Is it time to ditch my old faithful servant? Or is there something I could try first?

Episode Search - Day of the week
Posted by: srhutch - 2011-06-06, 06:10 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Didn't notice this being missing from GBPVR but when you use the Episode Search function and it finds some matches it doesn't tell you what day of the week the program is on.

This makes it difficult to set recurring recordings for specific days without looking at a calendar.

The attached images shows an example of what I mean

  Bulk Map

Help with documenting the Bulk Map features of NextPVR on the Configuration.Channels wiki page would be gratefully received. I've never used it and not sure on the details of it's used.

Post below or edit the wiki directly!

  BBC HD channels go DVB-S2
Posted by: NumberFive - 2011-06-06, 09:11 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (19)

Apparently the BBC HD channels have gone DVB-S2 today. You may require to rescan your channels.

not finding any channels with hdhomerun
Posted by: CaptFrankSolo - 2011-06-06, 03:55 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

win7 64bit -patched up + latest stable hdhomerun firmware
npvr 2.0.3

looks to me like several channels with quality=100 are found, but the gui doesn't show any recognition of this.
