I would like the audio for video playback to continue to go out via HDMI but have mp3 and flac files routed to a different audio output device (my m-audio sound card to my amp).
Any chance of adding such a feature or ideas on how I may accomplish this?
In the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing quite a few failed recordings. I am not sure why or how it hangs, the recordings screen does not state failed recordungs until I restart the recording service. Then recordigns are displayed as failed with the reason Recording Service not runnind. But it was running (or prehaps hung but it looks like it is running when looking at the services screen).
My setup is a bit old with P4 4 GHz with 3.5 GB RAM, the on-board graphics card (do not watch anything on the computer, it is tucked away in a cupborad. All viewing is done through NMT), Win XP sp3 with all current patches. Two FloppyDTV DVB-C with CI,
I attach the logs from just now, the strange thing is that viewing other recordings through NMT worked fine.
I am at the latest nPVR (2.0.3) and am running one of the latest mvpmcx2 (i think I might have missed out on the latest updates from Martin). I know I have 2 MVP servers ruinning (since we have two NMT, ane A-100 and one A-110). Can perhaps lower to one if that is the culprit and we need to investigate it.
Unfortunatly I dom't think the logs contain any useful information. Not as far as I can see anyway.
All recorings from yesterday onwards have all failed.
I just ran a fresh install with npvr 2.0.3 on winxp. I setup the hdpvr but forgot to set the channel changer. I went back in to edit it and point it to the haupblast.exe. I hit OK and exited. The change, however, doesn't seem to be saved. I've tried it a couple of times with no luck.
The workaround was to go back and install 1.5.36, setup the hdpvr and then upgrade to version 2.03.
I know the best option is to fork out $95 for VideoRedo H264 Edition but I am cheap by nature.
Is there any freeware alternative for removing adverts and padding on the few programs that are "keepers"?
Its not size that's the problem just convenience during playback - that dreaded WAF again
Comskip not really an option in the UK with our seamless ad breaks
I notice that when resuming playback of a recording a second or so of the audio at start of the file is heard.
I currently have to use the Divx AAC decoder fo HD recording playback. This decoder does not tolerate audio format changes within a recording.
If the issue I've mentioned could be fixed I could stop and resume a file from the point when the format changes and play the file successfully.
Just one thing that I searched for & didn't find - is there a kb shortcut that will take me back to the main menu? In other words I want the Home key to have the same function it has in GBPVR
Just what the title says, following these instructions from the wiki
"Select "Find More", and choose "TheTVDB" from the dropdown button. If a series with the programme's title could be found, the episodes are shown in the results list."
I can link every show I want, except Grey's Anatomy, for which I get no results in the search. Dunno if I can link it manually, but that would be a sweet option (I can look up the show number by going to TheTVDB and searching for it on that site)
I just upgraded to the new NPVR version. I had been monitoring the operation of NPVR and wasn't in a position to take the time to risk an upgrade from PVRX2 since it was working so well. I had used NPVR in test situations without incident.
My installation and upgrade went well for the most part. Almost everything is working fine, even Schedules Direct EPG and all my codecs. There is one small glitch. Every time I go to TV Guide to watch a program or Record a program, IRRemote tries to install. The program screen to watch a show or record it comes up behind it, so it does work. I just get a window asking me to proceed with IRRemote installation. If I do, it overwrites the irremote ini file. If I cancel, it goes back the way it was. The selection must be done by mouse. My system uses only the remote during normal operation, so this isn't something my wife wants to deal with.
What is happening to cause this? How can I fix it?
Anyone interested in picking up a pair of ATI 550 Pro tuner cards from me? Comcast finally switched all channels except for 2-15 to digital and there is not much for me to record with these. I am not sure what a fair price for these would be, so make me an offer. These will ship from Canton,Georgia 30114. I just pulled them from my DVR today.
Watching channel live from guide or from live tv, then minimize NPVR, then switch back to NPVR displays TV Guide or main menu, but live tv is still running (audio still playing) but cannot get back to the video window. Seems like a new problem with 2.0.3. Logs attached. Live TV started at 2011-03-12 14:43:00.680. I think I tried to switched back to it after minimizing at 2011-03-12 14:43:11.266.
