Running a javascript command from Windows Address Bar FOLLOWING the Web address?
Posted by: jksmurf - 2011-02-13, 02:51 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (35)

I scrape all my EPG's using TVxB which generally works well, but I am stuck on a page which would allow me only 1 days worth of EPG. Normally I can work out the release sequence to download a cache of schedule pages but this site:

http://www.setanta.com/HongKong/TV-Listings/

does it with javascript. ie. to get the NEXT days schedule I need to click the date which runs (one of) these at a time:

javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl00$btnDay','')
javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl01$btnDay','')
javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl02$btnDay','')
javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl03$btnDay','')
javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl04$btnDay','')
javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl05$btnDay','')
javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphForm$AllCols$tvlHeader$rptDays$ctl06$btnDay','')

Is there some way I can combine http://www.setanta.com/HongKong/TV-Listings/ with one of the above javascript lines, to get a DIRECT link to the selected days page, so TVxB can download it and cache a set of them automatically using a release sequence (relseq?)

Ta!

Vertical Version of Menu in Default Skin
Posted by: jksmurf - 2011-02-13, 02:23 AM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Simple request. I know there are other skins that do this, but an option to select Vert or Horiz from the menu would make it easier to switch between them.

autoremoverecordings to work independently of recordings "plugin"
Posted by: gEd - 2011-02-12, 09:45 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Hi Sub

I discovered that the autoremoverecordings feature only works when you enter the default recordings screen.

Could this code be moved out into the main menu so that missing recordings are deleted when you start npvr. This feature would then work for users of Aliberts' TV recordings plugin.

EPG Time off by 1 hour, DST issue? (round 2)
Posted by: sblueeye - 2011-02-12, 09:37 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (14)

Hi,

I'm facing the same problem as described here - this time on NPVR/Windows 7.

Quote:The TV listings are off by 1 hour. Located in Canada which just had the new, 3 week earlier, "Daylight Savings Time" come into effect. The computers clock managed to adjust automatically but not GBPVR.

Solution:
Update http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst and empty the EPG in the GBPVR config utility. MS supports Win2000 to Vista. A reboot is not required.
Workarounds include hacking your timezone or waiting 3 weeks.
The issue may arise again should the USA decide the new DST is useless. Personally, I hate the changes.

I've tried applying the patch that was given back then, but it did not help.

I use DVB/ATSC EPG.

Any ideas?

Thanks

  "Anchor" channel
Posted by: ElihuRozen - 2011-02-12, 08:21 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Would there be any way to set an "anchor" for a channel so you can come back to it easily without having to remember what number it is. I know it sounds stupid, but sometimes when I'm channel surfing, I'll start watching something that is interesting till a commercial comes on. Then, I start channel flipping again & since I hadn't planned to watch that show I won't remember what it was or what channel. This happens to my wife more than me, but I still think it would be nice.

I figure there would be three ways to do this:
1 - if I watch a channel for more than say 10 minutes, it automatically becomes my "anchor" channel & I can use some key to get back to it.
2 - If I do some key, my current channel becomes my "anchor" channel & I can use some key to get back to it.
3 - If I do some key, a timer gets started & the current channel is set as an "anchor". When the time is up I am automatically returned to my "anchor" channel.

Would anybody else find this useful?

  Universe+PlayOn on PC
Posted by: TomH - 2011-02-12, 08:19 PM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - Replies (41)

I now have Universe giving us (with thanks from Lucille84) PlayOn/Netflix/Hulu/etc on our eGreat M34A clients - thanks completely to Martin's unselfish support in resolving various issues. This has completely tranformed our TV viewing -- thanks ever so much for this great plugin.

Occassionally I attempt to access PlayOn via Universe on the nPVR PC but no joy. It gives "Waiting" message, then "Buffered nnnn" message, then reverts back to menu.

Is Universe/PlayOn intended to be usable on the PC as well as the NMT?

Thanks,

  Problems with Live TV
Posted by: DuskWolf - 2011-02-12, 07:44 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

I had GBpvr but my HD ended up failing so I am trying again with Npvr. I have most of it set up. I have Windows XP, I am using WinTV HVR-1600. I have Installed WinTV7 and it works just fine, good video and audio. I just can't seem to get it to connect with Npvr. When I try Live TV in Npvr I just get a black screen, with no sound.

I am using analog and have set up the EPG and imported it using 'device setup' with Type: Analog ; Device: Hauppauge WinTV 418 Video Capture ; Channels:158

I hope I attached the right info, I attached a zip of my logs file. I have been scouring the Wiki and Forum and I am sure I just looked over something. So,any help or just a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
