I have it configured to keep 7 days of old listings but just now when I was asked "what was on Saturday....." I went to look & there are no previous listing past 12:00 last night?
Another thing I also discovered at the same time is if the screen is showing yesterdays listings (or at the moment no show details) prior to 12:00 & todays listings after 12:00 on the one view the day date don't change from one to the other when moving over the 12:00 period.
Is there a way to avoid this screen on the PC? I get at video playback sometime on LiveTV with ATSC? I do get audio and after a quick rewind it is fine.
So I just replaced my Shuttle XPC (kept shutting off) with a refurbed Dell GX280.
I've got most things going but I am having issues getting a good Video Renderer in GB-PVR. VMR9 Custom has tearing and EVR looks better but has purple bars when letterboxed
When I play back Recorded Media or xvid movies in GB-PVR I get tearing. If I play them back with the MPC HomeCinema everything looks good.

Has anyone else experienced this? The scan finds ITVHD not problems but when you come to map it to the channel listing in the EPG it just isn't an option? Any help?
the title speaks the truth. i have an acer aspire 8930g with an avermedia a310 card inside. (npvr calls it AverMedia BDA digital tuner) i've scanned on every setting i can think off i've tried tons of programs in the past. and everytime i try to get my cable tv on my laptop i just give up in the end. i dont understand any of the stuff mentioned in the stickied thread in this section. and i consider myself to be pretty tech savvy computer wise but i just can't understand any of this D; i've googled a lot. i''ve found several threads here somewhat related but as i said i just cant understand any of it D:
so my question is this. can someone tell me step to step what to do to get this working?
i'm from belgium, get tv from telenet. avermedia a310 card. acer aspire 8930g. using a standard cable wire.
WMP can play these files but npvr doesn't... using: microsoft dtv-dvd video decoder for h264 and mpeg2... this works for avis and mpgs no problem... renderer: evr
I am not sure why closed the thread if the problem is still pending. I understand that I can go back to GBPVR, but I cannot at this point. I did try your command and it rebooted the machine too. I included all four log files, so which one is missing and the most important?
If you do not want any feedback on a problem then by all means say so. I thought I was giving you more information that might help with the resolution, because in the past you complained that you are not hearing enough feedback from the users.
Hello !
My XMLTV feed contains characters encoded in UTF-8 this causes both GBPVR and NPVR to report "illegal character in XTMLV file" or similar.
UTF-8 is probably used since i live in Sweden and we do have some characters that doesnt fit within the 7 bit ACSII table.
Since I cant change the output of my grabber I have done a dirty work around with a Perl script that convers the UTF chars into similar Acsii values.
I dont know if this is something devs would like to fix, if so let me know and I can supply you with the conversions needed that I have found so far.
Prehaps this is on the todo list already ?
