  Setup of Multirec using MDPlugins
Posted by: agerdin - 2010-10-19, 07:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

How do I configure multirec using MDPlugins in GBPVR. I have set it up and its working in NPVR but I am also trying to get it in GBPVR as I have not yet completly transferred to NPVR.

Setting it up in NPVR only required to add all the MDplugin stuff in the folders created by the config

Code:
Hauppauge WinTV 885 Alt BDA Tuner_Demod #1-1 Hauppauge WinTV 885 Alt BDA Tuner_Demod #1-2
However, in GBPVR no folders are created. How do I set it up in the MDPluginfolder in GBPVR to have more than one instance per device?

Currently I have it working for one instance (all files are directly in MDPlugin folder) also in GBPVR but that does not allow me to multirec on my DVB-S tuner.

Thanks,

\\Agerdin

  MovieWiz movie folder structure?
Posted by: jfm - 2010-10-19, 06:11 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (5)

What's the best way to set up folders and file names for MovieWiz? I'd like to get it right the first time, if at all possible.

Also, what if there is a series of movies, like Halloween and Friday 13th?

  tunningAssistant: Failed to find Crossbar
Posted by: Zack63 - 2010-10-19, 01:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I'm not able to watch Live TV, and I believe this is because of:

2010-10-19 08:28:50.156 VERBOSE [1] GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.

But.. I don't have an EPG source. There is a selection for "None" so, I assume not having one is OK.

To scan for channels, I tried tuningAssistant, but it fails to find the crossbar. I have two AverTV M150 Analog capture cards. I downloaded the MPV and MPA decoders, and registered them.

It seems I'm missing something rather basic, but can't determine what. Was thinking to upgrade to NPVR, but may have same issues, as there are hints that the setup is quite similar.

Help is most appreciated, log files attached =:]

Resolution Issues when re-encoding captured video
Posted by: bgrieb - 2010-10-19, 11:41 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I occasionally have problems with re-encoding video that I capture on my HD-PVR and I believe the source to be with the channel change (I use USB-UIRT). The reason that I believe this is that it appears whenever the channel/program prior to the change is 720p, the entire video shows up in TMPGEnc 4.0 at that resolution regardless of whether the targeted channel/program was actually 1080p. The end result is that TMPGEnc crops the desired portion from 1080p to 720p even though WMP and Videolan render it properly. A temporary fix is to demux the video with txMuxer and cut out the first few seconds (the channel change).

I would like to avoid this extra step, so I'm curious to know whether it's possible to have GBPVR delay the start of recording until after the channel change has already occurred. Thank you for any input that you can provide.

  Locked database problem
Posted by: Clanky - 2010-10-19, 10:22 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

I've just installed Win 7 64bit and imported the recordings from my old 1.4.7 setup. I've just about got it running ok except when I select the recordings menu.
I have to wait anywhere between 30-60 seconds before my list of recordings appear Sad

I had a look at the logs & saw this;-
'Unexpected error saving scheduled recording: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: The database file is locked database is locked'

I see this has been reported before, did anyone find away around it?

  Video folders sort order
Posted by: jwb5463 - 2010-10-19, 09:20 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I'm sure I've seen a post about this, but I can't find it

My Videos folders always appeared in alphanumeric order when stored on my WinXP machine.
I've just moved them to a Linux server, and now they're all in (I think) creation date order.

Is there a way to force it back to alphanumeric? I've tried touching the creation dates, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference.

Won't play after skipping while paused
Posted by: DrSoftware - 2010-10-19, 06:59 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I've just installed 1.5.33 and it exhibits the same issue as 1.5.31.

While watching a NZ tv2 or 3 H264 .ts file if I pause using the keyboard (Ctrl-q) then skip forward using Ctrl-right or Ctrl-f a few times (skipping commercials) then try and resume playback nothing happens, it stays paused, if I skip forward or back again after pressing play then playback resumes.

This also happens using the remote which is to be expected as it's only emulating the keyboard.

  How can I get 1.5.31?
Posted by: siliconaudio - 2010-10-19, 05:22 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

1.5.33 is going to end in divorce in my household. Is there an archive of older versions somewhere? I need to get back to 1.5.31, I just can't keep video and audio in sync in the new beta.

Lately I have got into the bad habit of running the installer from the website without downloading first.

The wife has given me an ultimatum - help!

Stream to Client PC Choppy w/NPVR, VLC and WDTVLIVE work well.
Posted by: Jerome - 2010-10-19, 03:24 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I'd like to make this work so live tv can be watched on the client. I have no problems with the network streaming an already recorded show with other devices.
