I have 2off Hauppauge cards fitted, identical feed from same LNB.......tonight one of the went faulty. Confirmed via Haupauge software I don't pick up any channels when I try to scan, the other card is fine.
So, I disabled the faulty card in nPVR settings, and nPVR works fine as far as viewing any channel on my guide via the other card so no probs there.
However, if I record a programme and whilst it's recording try to view another channel then some channels will allow me, others will come up a message saying no capture device available (or words to that affect). It's as if some of the channels in my guide are tied to 1 card or another.
Any advice?.....I just want to be able to record one programme whilst I watch another.
Hi folks
Having problems playing files from other popcorns using npvr.
I have set up all the shares and have mounted the shares.
I can see them using the video tab in npvr but when I goto play them they fall out and go back to the nmt interface.
I could have sworn that I have done this before and it worked.
In the logs it said it cant find the file.
It all works fine on the PC though.
Any ideas
Dave
When playing back an HD recording I find that when skipping forward (currently set to 120secs) it will sometimes skip and resume almost immediately, sometimes there will be a freeze delay of a few seconds, sometimes it will freeze then never recover. The last image at the point where I hit the skip button remians on the screen. Can't get back to the guide or anything from thge remote, can only right click exit from the keyb.
New version of UltraXMLTV Enhancer version 2.1.xxxx.xxxx
The new version uses a filename of UltraXMLTV_Enhancer2_1.exe. The previous stable 2.0 version is included in this zip file...
This is a drop in replacement designed to continue using your current previous settings. Please copy all files from the zip and overwrite.
-Fixed the 2 GB limit for tracking byte usage
-Does NOT auto-download Master list (see note below)
-Keeps a separate list of shows that YOU have but are not on the Master list. Ultra auto uploads this much smaller list now
-Checks for online/offline status of EPGtools.com and theTVdb.com ONCE per session. If either fail Ultra carries on the best it can do without new updated information (see below)
-the Master SeriesID list (that is downloaded) was updated with shows that many of you had shared over the last year and a half
-Has an online update feature. Beta testers can be sure they have the latest program exe. Previous versions are backed up so you can always restore if necessary...
-Added ability to discern between Beta or Stable versions of the application. It can upgrade itself. (Manually)
Tested on three different systems for three days now...all looks good.
Make sure your production machine has its UpdateEPG.bat pointing to the stable release version... UltraXMLTV_Enhancer.exe
---
After copying the files over, run Ultra.
There is a new tab 'Admin' (if you don't have it, you will need to become a 'beta tester' (see below) ... Click the Upgrade Beta Button... If there is a new version available, allow the upgrade. Ultra will auto restart.
Next, on the Main tab, click Download Master Series ID button.
Set up for a regular Enhance. Click Go...
If you'd like, click on the 'main' tab... you'll see if either epgtools or thetvdb are offline.. You'll see Ultra skip over those files (see below)
Just noticed on the digitalspy forum that in the early hours of Monday 18th Oct the BBC are going to do a reshuffle of many channel on sat which will cause us a fair bit of grief. With GBPVR we could steel a scan file from whichever sucker did a scan first , but still had lots of extremely painful remapping to do. In nPVR I assume we have to all rescan ourselves, but the remapping is much easier!
I would like to use one of my analog PVR-150's with VLC to convert some old video and audio tapes to mpeg files. The newer VLC has a Video Capture mode that can do the job and it provides some nice tuning features to adjust image quality. I can record video fine, but there is no audio at all.
It seem that the newer Hauppauge drivers don't let VLC see the audio source from the PVR-150. Some older drivers do find both the video and audio streams, but I can't find a way to select the specific source (composite or S inputs), so I only get random noise.
The system works fine with WinTV, but this is somewhat limited for tuning up the recordings.
Has anyone made this combination work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
It would be great to be able to group things in the Recordings display using subfolders. For example, I'd love to consolidate all my kid's shows in a "kids" folder, then inside that folder have subfolders that organize all shows by title (i.e., acts like the main recordings screen, but only showing shows from the "Kids" grouping). Being able to move recordings to subfolders would be great, being able to set up a subfolder when setting up the recording request would also be good.
I'm trying to do a new install of UltrXMLTV and when I go to run the app and it download the seriesID file it seems to be corrupt. I'm getting a garbage entry on line 16 of both the TempSeriesID.txt file and the _SeriesID.txt files.
Can anyone else confirm that this is happening for them as well?
I have deleted both the TempSeriesIDs.txt file and all files that begin with and underscore but this did not solve my problem. Any suggestion of how I can get UltraXMLTV to run?
