  GBPVR Tutorial
Posted by: icewolfca - 2010-10-03, 05:12 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

I made a basic GBPVR tutorial and am currently in the process of uploading it to youtube.

I love GBPVR and just want to give back to the community.

  Tinyurl 404 link
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-10-03, 04:55 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - No Replies

I've been using NEWA on Android a bit to play music and one thing that I keep doing is getting an error when I accidentally touch the underlined link. If the function is only to provide a tinyurl to a local file I don't even see the point in it.

  Channel scan crashes upon completion
Posted by: van helsing - 2010-10-03, 02:29 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

Can't complete channel scan without crashing with Hauppauge 1600HVR and Windows XP Professional. Saw a previous thread with the same issue unresolved in 06/10 in the forums. Doesn't any one have an answer?

  Removing A Chaneel
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-10-02, 10:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I want to remove a channel from my lineup. I removed it from mc2xml.chl, deleted the .dat and .xml files in the EPG folder, and reran updateepg.bat.

I then ran Config.exe, and deleted the channel from my two capture sources. I emptied the EPGs, and updated them, and the channel is gone everywhere. I have digital cable, and I checked the mappings, and the channel is gone.

The only place it remains is in the TV Guide in GBPVR itself. Also, if I run Live TV and step through the channels, it tries to tune the channel, and jumps back to the main menu when it can't.

How can I get rid of it in the TV Guide, and in Live TV? I reloaded the EPG in System in GBPVR, and that didn't help.

Supress Date display in NPVR skin
Posted by: Northpole - 2010-10-02, 04:48 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (13)

Is there any way to suppress the date and time display in NPVR? The reason I ask is because I would like to not display it when viewing pictures in the slid show mode.

Thanks.

Also, is it possible to have the @previewImage function pickup a default picture in the recordings screen (like in the video screen)

  Database locked error
Posted by: dshoup - 2010-10-02, 03:54 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Things were working great, then suddenly my nPVR program started having problems opening the recordings screen. The logs (see attached) show the following error:

Quote:[ERROR][1] Unexpected error saving scheduled recording: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException: The database file is locked

I saw a similar thread (http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...er+address) but it does not appear to apply (I have not manually edited the config.xml file and I have searched it and NoRemoveWhenTreeMissing is set to "true"). I have tried uninstalling then reinstalling nPVR several times...a couple of times after removing the system plugin/skin (the last change I remember making before the problem occurred).

I have found the recording screen will eventually load after a long time (e.g., 5-10 minutes or so). I have had this problem for about 1 week and the computer has been rebooted several times over that time, so I don't think there should be any memory resident program using the database unless it is getting loaded by npvr.

Any idea what is locking up the database and how to prevent this?

  UltraXMLTV - Error uploading _SeriesID.txt
Posted by: TomR - 2010-10-02, 02:11 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (6)

Lately I'm been getting an error when trying to upload the _SeriesID.txt file. The error is (403) Forbidden which seems to imply that the application is not allowed to upload the file.

This has been working previously (since the product was in Beta) but seem to have stopped working in the last week or so.

While you can set the application not to share/upload the _SeriesID.txt file this defeats the purpose of sharing IDs.

Has something change with the server that this file is being uploaded to? Or is the solution to stop uploading/sharing this file?

Update EPG in NPVRTray Context Menu like GBPVR
Posted by: jksmurf - 2010-10-02, 02:34 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Just so when I'm testing and updating my TVxB XMLTV grabber I have a nice easy way of updating the EPG rather than going into settings.

Is the method for NEWA replacement the same as for EWA?
Posted by: jksmurf - 2010-10-02, 02:14 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (1)

Seeing as there are some NEWA web folder updates http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...post390339

can I just please check that installation method for NEWA is the same replacement method as for EWA, with

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/EnhancedWebAdmin#install i.e. esp these maintained?

Delete all contents and directories in the gbpvr\web folder (except for the bin directory…removing this will cause GBPVR to reinstall the default Web Admin)

Delete only the taglib-sharp.dll, System.Web.Extensions.Design.dll, System.Web.Extensions.dll, eWorld.UI.dll, Rss.dll, Rss.pdb and Rss.Net.dll files from the gbpvr\web\bin directory

If a gbweb.dll file exists in the gbpvr\web\bin directory it should be deleted
