A foreign dll in the plugin folder breaks loading further plugins

I am writing a plugin that uses external mediainfo.dll. The presence of the dll in the plugin folder results in:

Playing music on an NMT doesn't keep the server awake
Posted by: Sheik Yerbouti - 2010-09-25, 12:38 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

The npvr server goes to sleep, even though I'm playing music using mvpmcx2 on the NMT. I don't know what's keeping it awake when playing videos, but I suppose the same thing should happen for playing music.

And one other thing: when stopping the music pressing the stop button on the remote, npvr/mvpmcx2 starts playing the next song in the list. In stops when I press the stop button again.

Channels with identical names-manually creating a channel?
Posted by: keith_leitch - 2010-09-25, 09:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I live in a region where I receive two versions of some of the same channels (one locally and one from a nearby city). As the show lineups are not identical, I would like to enter them both. However, when I scan stations, I can only insert one or the other, presumably because the names are identical.

I have tried copying the tuning request information from one, and manually adding a channel with a different name. However, when I paste the data into the "tuning request" field, it vanishes as soon as I leave the field.

Can anyone tell me how to manually enter a tuning request into a channel, or otherwise resolve the conflict caused by identical channel names?

Deleting a recording leaves behind the folder name and folder.jpg?
Posted by: jksmurf - 2010-09-25, 08:15 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (25)

Deleting a recording leaves behind the folder name and folder.jpg?
Is this by design?

If yes, could I perhaps ask for an option delete the lot from the recordings dir?

Thanks

Manual Recording - Advanced Rule Examples
Posted by: XJW - 2010-09-25, 05:06 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

It would be much appreciated if Sub or another clever member of the forum could post a few examples of Advanced Rules for Manual Recordings. This is a mighty useful feature and I am currently using it for title searches eg: title like '%shaun the sheep%' but I am sure it can do more than this. Is it possible to search other fields ? A few examples would be great.

Problem with streaming with VLC via EWA
Posted by: ShiningDragon - 2010-09-24, 08:55 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (89)

Hi, it's me again... Big Grin

A couple of weeks, all were fine. GB-PVR running well, EWA running fine and streaming were wonderful. Ok... until yesterday. Since 8 hours i try to watch a live stream via EWA at work and don't have success. I don't know, if EWA ist going crazy or VLC just don't want to work.

Server is Windows 7 64-Bit. GB-PVR and EWA are latest builts, VLC is 1.1.4. Yesterday all were fine, but today? I start from the client a movie and want to watch this one. From UltraVNC i have a look on the server (TaskManager) and can see, that vlc.exe is fired up. But... cpu usage stays constantly at 0 percent? I really tried since 8 hours... reinstalled EWA, rebooted the server / client a lot of times.

What could this be? Any idea? ^.^

EDIT: I can confirm, that VLC is working fine. Just tested to stream manual only via VLC. I changed nothing on the server... it's curious... oO

  Problem connecting PVRX2 to PCH
Posted by: Blue Racer - 2010-09-24, 05:29 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (18)

I've been having problems connecting PVRX2 to PCH the last couple of months. Haven't really had much time to play around with it. My operating system is Windows 7. I have tried a few things such as turning my Norton firewall off and checking my window shares. I can access my video and recording shares from the pch menu. Thats how I've been watching my recorded tv shows.
When I try to connect using "Network Browser" on the PCH menu I get the message: "No content found on Server" . When I try to connect with a share setup on the pch menu I get the message:
"cp: cannot stat'/opt/sybhttpd" the first time I try and the following message the second time:
"mkdir: cannot create directory". Any help would be greatly appreciated.

WinTV PVR2 USB2 not recognized by NPVR
Posted by: Gort10 - 2010-09-24, 04:30 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

NPVR recognizes my HDhomerun, but does not recognize my WinTV PVR2 USB2 as an installed device. I have followed the instructions in the sticky and read the other posts on this subject with no luck; specifically:
-Installed WinTV 7. TV reception and recording worked normally. I copied the contents of its SoftPVR folder (9 files) to C:\Program Files\NPVR and registered the three .ax files. Checked the registration using Filtercheck (WinTV present - log attached) and GSpot (files successfully registered in NPVR folder). Uninstalled WinTV to avoid contention and rechecked registration (everything still OK). Still no WinTV PVR2 USB2. Device is present in Device Manager.
-Would appreciate any suggestions. Logs attached.

Windows 7 32 bit.

Digital vs. Analog recording conflict: HVR-2250 tuners
Posted by: Braklet - 2010-09-24, 03:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi folks, long time no post. I know sub has moved on to bigger projects, but I'm hoping a fellow enthusiast can help me out here.

My WinXP + GB-PVR 1.4.7 system has been working well, but lightning recently zapped my old HTPC so I rebuilt it using a Hauppauge HVR-2250. Dual ATSC tuners are great, but I'm running into source conflicts when I attempt to simultaneously access digital and analog inputs. This occurs with live TV and scheduling recordings.

Setup:

  • Antenna -> ATSC input; two digital recording sources sharing a single set of EPG channels.
  • DishNet satellite receiver -> analog S-video input; one analog source sharing a second EPG lineup.
  • Second analog input unused; reserved as a 4th recording source.

I believe I have set up all recording sources correctly, since I can access each individually w/o problems. I can even record two digital sources simultaneously. I can not schedule any analog recordings while one digital recording is scheduled. I can not watch analog TV while one digital recording proceeds. PVRX2 always thwarts my attempts via conflict error messages.

Here is an excerpt from pvrx2.exe.log indicating the capture source conflict when I attempt to QuickRec an analog recording (World's Dumbest...) from the TV Guide, at the same time a digital recording (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) is scheduled:

I notice the "DEVICE:Hauppauge HVR2250:1&2" messages and that my analog & digital sources share numbers. Should they use different sub-device numbers (i.e. do digital and analog sources share the same device IDs)?

Greatly appreciate any guidance, TIA!
