  TV osd
Posted by: dave.t - 2010-07-01, 08:18 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (2)

Hi Sub
IS there any tv channel, epg data on the popcorn like you had in GBPVR when you hit the green button.
This allowed you to have a simple view of the channels and what was on. You where then able to select that any channel.
Great work!

How can I disable subfolders in the recording directory?
Posted by: Anthony - 2010-07-01, 05:35 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

Let's say I set my recording directory to:

D:\npvr\

If I record "Survivor" it creates the file in a subfolder:

D:\npvr\survivor\survivorxxx.ts

I want it to save all shows in the root of that folder:

D:\npvr\survivorxxx.ts

How do I get NPVR to save all recordings to the root of my defined folder? The current subfolder approach won't work well with my batch processing.

Thanks,

Anthony

  graphstudio help
Posted by: steveum - 2010-07-01, 05:00 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I am trying to use graphstudio to remote connect to GBPVR, but when I click on remote connect, there are no entries listed to connect too.

I use to have this working, but I recently had to rebuild my computer. I am running Win7 and I copied proppage.dll into windows\system32 and ran regsvr32 on it. Is there something else that needs to be done to enable GBPVR for remote connect?

I am trying to figure out why I can't play my MKV files now with my new system. I had them working on my old Win7 computer. They play fine if render them with graphstudio directly or if I play them on a NMT. When I play them through GBPVR, they are real jerky and my computer performance is terrible.

  Programmes disappearing from TV Guide
Posted by: mark_lt - 2010-07-01, 03:53 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

Hi,

Noticed what is either a bug or my breaking something else. My EPG is made up of XML and DVB EPG. When I skip to the end of the programme listings (14 days into the distant future), and then try and go back, the TV Guide is empty. As in it shows no listing at all.

Also related, if you stay on TV Guide, the pointer to the time on the guide doesn't seem to move. Exiting and coming back in fixes it, so I think it must need a refresh every couple of minutes (said as a person with no sense of the effort this all takes of course). Smile

I hope you want us to tell you these things sub, realising that it is a beta, just trying to spot any little niggles. Just expecting that at some point I will find my account blocked with all these posts!

  New NMTInstall2 for N-PVR
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-07-01, 04:55 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (189)

I've released an early alpha version of the NMTInstall program for N-PVR.

http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...stall2.exe

There are updates for the scripts etc to use N-PVR. instead of GB-PVR on the links, other file (GB-PVR.html and gbpvr.cgi) should not be touched. It should also not touch startmeup, but you
might want to back it up.

Optional install features

- download and install NPVRSetup and .dotnet 2.
- patch NextPVR.exe to start at port 5916 for zero configuration install
- download and install VS2008 runtime
- download and install Directx runtime,

As N-PVR begins to overtake GB-PVR in use, I will be updating the Dummies Guide etc, mvpmcx2 is largely unchanged so most of the work is in installing N-PVR

Don't forget to check your firewall for NMT requirements (NMTInstall will try to configure the Windows firewall if selected).

- NRecord.exe permit TCP and UPD for the local LAN
- NextPVR.exe permit TCP

Note that due to the beta nature of N-PVR I am not downloading or installing updates or plugins/skins at this point.

Good Luck and Happy Canada Day (July 1)

  Web Radio 3.1
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-07-01, 03:57 AM - Forum: UbuStream, Web Radio and Universe - Replies (14)

I have uploaded a new version of the Web Radio Base http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/uploads/Plugin/NWebRadio.zip to deal with some changes that SHOUTcast introduced with their new version 2.0. The main issue is their web servers are sending an RSS feed format on some occasions. Because WebRadio 2 and 3.0 do not recognize this format, the list would appear empty.

If you encounter any problems with Shoutcast files, please compress and upload the Shoutcast.com.genre.xml file from your temp folder, with your logs and I will verify that Web Radio is parsing it correctly.

In addition there are a few list improvements navigating large list.

- navigate by percent on keyboard or remote (ie 0 = top, 1= 10%, 5 = 50%)
- location in some lists is preserved as you back out.
- Page Up/Down will now cycle around the lists

  Channel Change Very Slow
Posted by: GAHart - 2010-07-01, 03:16 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

I tried NPVR and it looks great! Channel changing is very slow, like over a minute. The video and sound stops, then I hear the sound of the new channel and them a minute or so later I the new video starts. Sometimes the sound and video are not in sync and sometimes the video seems to catch up. I am using an analog tuners, Saber DA-1N1-E (ViXS PureTV). Any suggestions?

NPVR not yet worth a try
Posted by: RichU - 2010-07-01, 02:34 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (21)

I briefly installed 1.5.21 NPVR. I saw nothing for configuration or settings, and without any documentation I found it to be a waste of time to fiddle with it.

Sorry - I hoped it would work better, but it didn't seem to work hardly at all.

Uninstalled it 5 or 10 minutes after I installed it. With no options to control it wasn't even marginally useful. Not an indictment of the beta version, just a comment re functionality, or lack thereof.

Assign same EPG channel to two different tuners?
Posted by: Anthony - 2010-06-30, 11:33 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

I currently have a HVR-2250 dual tuner connected to my cable line, and a pair of HVR-1600 tuners connected to an outdoor antenna.

In GBPVR I could assign a single EPG channel to all of the tuners. For example, I could assign "KGW Channel 8" to all four tuners, and GBPVR would select the first available tuner when recording. It might record channel 8 from my cable connection if nothing else was being recorded, or it might record channel 8 from my antenna if the HVR-2250 tuners were recording other shows.

In NPVR I can't figure out how to accomplish the same thing. My channels from my HVR-1600 gets assigned it's own channel in the EPG listing, instead of sharing an existing channel.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Anthony

  EPG and Tuner issue
Posted by: jackyl - 2010-06-30, 11:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I was having an issue with my SD EPG not updating. After reading a couple posts that indicated making a change to the tuner fixed it, I tried that. No luck. Tried deleting and replacing the tuner in config and now I can't get live tv either. I used the tuning assistant and the card tunes fine. Anyone have any ideas? what information can I post to assist in resolution. As a side note, I loaded NPVR 1.5.21 and it doesn't see my tuners (device setup greyed out). I'll follow up on that one in the right forum, but thought it may help with some insite. This system has been functional through many releases and several years. WinXP Pro SP3, PVR 250/FM and PVR350. Originally just the PVR350.
