Signal issue:
I am currently using Mygica U6012A Hybrid USB HDTV Tuner. When I tune into several channels, from time to time gbpvr would just display 'no signal detected...'. If I go forward one channel over and back again, I can watch that channel w/ no problem afterward. So, it doesn't seem like the incoming signal is weak.
I can still watch TV, but I wonder if there is something that can be done to remedy this.
Remotes
I wonder if anyone has played with using the remotes that come with Mygica U6012A and ATI Wonder HD 650 USB TV Tuner (they both come with remote).
If the remotes of these two models can be programmed to work with gbpvr -- like using Hauppauge's WinTV IR Remote.exe and setting up custom section in the irremote.ini -- that would be nice.

- No codec packs just ffdshow and haali as well as bundled MS decoders (I try to use MS MPEG2 decoder called DTV-DVD video)
When I select a .TS file to play that was from recorded TV, it goes blank for less than a second before going back to the main menu (the root menu). I can play back 1080p .mkv h.264 file no problems.
I tried different video renderers.
Installed ffdshow and told GBPVR to use it for video and audio.
I set haali filter merits to zero in case it interfered with GBPVR
On my dual-boot PC, I got fed up with having to maintain 2 installs of GBPVR (one in XP Pro, the other in Windows 7 64).
So I changed the drive letters in XP to match the drive letters in 7 - and then copied across the db3, recordingsdump, and config files from the WIndows 7 partition.
All the recordings show up and play fine in XP, but Live TV does not work - DVB-T or DVB-S.
So, what I have I done wrong?:confused:
In the Config >> Directories tab, I can't add my network share for the video library directories. It would be good if it allowed you to type in the location. In the end I had to manually edit the config.xml to add it as described at the bottom of THIS PAGE.

I've just uploaded v2.11 of the TV Listings plugin at the wiki. Changes include:

Please note the following things when upgrading:
- You don't need to overwrite your existing tvlistings.db3 database file
- GBPVR 1.4.7 is required to use the reminder/pre-book feature
- There were no skin changes since the last release
I'd been wanting to set up a client system for our bedroom upstairs, but the lack of a wired network connection was a roadblock. I'd tried wireless and powerline networking, and both failed miserably. I finally got something to work, with the unused coaxial cable running upstairs... MoCA. I bought two ex-Verizon FIOS routers (Actiontec MI424WR) reallyreally cheap on ebay, stuck one upstairs, one down in the basement, and ran CAT5 to the router (WRT54G). Throughput is about 10MB/s, which is pretty close to the 12.5MB/s maximum. The upstairs system is a refurb Revo 1600 which is fantastic... plays anything sitting on the server without a hiccup, at around 5-10% CPU load (everything DXVA). It's powering a 23" monitor. For the inquisitive, a few things about the setup which helped get everything working;
- server .ts recordings
- file sharing mode
- mpeg2 uses CLVsd.ax (pdvd9 decoder)
- everything else uses MPCVideodec.ax (MPC-HC decoder)
- all audio is ffdshow
- live tv delay=0 (both server and client)
Hope this information is helpful to anyone considering setting up a GBPVR client.

After this I was able to set up the DVB-T part and channels were found, mapped and working.
However, moving on to the DVB-S part I run in to trouble.
First, running the scan without the WinTV-CI module gives me no channels found (see logs in nochannels.zip).
Second, doing the same excercise with the WinTV-CI module gives me the message "unable to start the BDA device..." (see logs in device_error.zip)
I have also tried with an updated version of the transponder list (3592.ini) from http://www.fastsatfinder.com/transponders.html as I think that there has been recent updates on the Thor satellite I am using (see logs in transponder.zip). No channels found here either.
Using the Hauppauge WinTV7 software I am able to scan and view all (including encrypted) DVB-S channels.
Sorry for the long post and all the different logs but I really need some help at this point.
Up until about 2 months ago my EPG update has worked fine for a few years. (Updating from the Digital TV signal).
Recently it seems to work fine for a while then stops updating, or updates but doesn't populate the TV guide.
The general syptom is suddenly you would notice that the 7 day guide is only six, which would then decrease each day until no programs are shown.
The only way to get it to restart is to enter the GB-PVR configuration, goto the capture sources and edit one so I can clear and then reload the EPG, after this it could work fine for a number of weeks till the problem occurs again.
Has anyone seen similar, and any ideas for a solution,
I need to add something like ParaLED supports but unfortunately my PC does not have parallel or serial ports. Will ParaLED work if I use a USB to Parallel adapter cable like this one from Cables to Go? http://www.cablestogo.com/product.asp?ca...sku=16899#
Unfortunately, last week I was doing some housekeeping and threw out all my serial and parallel cables so I can't just add a parallel card to the PC.
