  Another WizRenameRecordings Problem
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-05-13, 12:45 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - No Replies

WizRenameRecording has stopped naming files. I backed up gbpvr.db3 and config.xml, uninstalled GBPVR, then deleted the GBPVR directory.

I then did a clean install, restored the two files I backed, and then reinstalled WizRenameRecording. The PostProcessing.bat has just one line - the default WizRenameRecording line.

No good. It still won't rename any files. It does work if I run it manually. Here's the log file for the last couple of attempts...

  HVR-100 Fine Tuning
Posted by: bulkbagger - 2010-05-13, 11:59 AM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

Hi, I installed a Hauppauge HVR-1600 card and it works fine except that channel 14 comes in distorted and in B/W. It looks like the set channel frequency is a little off.

My question, is there a way to fine tune the channel so I can clear up the reception.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thanks...

  EPG issue
Posted by: Fredo - 2010-05-12, 09:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

NZ freeview epg
My EPG has stopped working, first stopped updating itself correctly then stopped altogether!
In fact same thing is happening to a couple of my friends
I have been using Djkxml.exe which has work fine for some time now.
Clearly something has changed in NZ
Is there a good easy to install, reliable EPG program out there?

In fact to clarify when I try to reinstall it an error message comes up “Not a 32bit program”? odd it was up till 48hrs ago

  Update on next release
Posted by: sub - 2010-05-12, 08:11 PM - Forum: NextPVR Announcements - Replies (66)

I know its been a long wait since the last release, and I wanted to give a quick update on the timeframe.

The next release is one of the larger releases. I was almost ready to post the release for download this week, but I've been unexpectedly asked to do some travelling for work for a couple of weeks. I asked the testers whether I should post before I leave, or after I get back, and the opinion was split. Given the large number of changes, and that I wasnt going to be able to make fixes while I was away, I decided it was probably best to wait until I was back.

Either way, I'm pretty close to getting that next release out, so not too much more waiting. Sorry for the delay Smile

  Making A Backup
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-05-12, 03:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I've looked all through the forum, but can't find an answer...

What files do I need to backup, if I'm going to do a clean install? I'd like to be able to save my channel list, and the channel mapping. I'd also like to be able to save the database that contains the list of recordings, so the list of shows I have on the hard drive will still show up on the Recordings page.

Can't delete more than 1 recording with the web interface
Posted by: sheppy99 - 2010-05-12, 02:04 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (1)

For some reason I can't delete more than one item at a time using the web interface. Is this a known issue or can I fix it somehow?
IE7 shows "error on page" at the bottom corner when you click delete at the top after selecting things,
Chrome shows "Javascript:_do PostBack ('mass cancel')" at the bottom corner but does nothing.
Deleting individually works with both browsers.
Cheers
Kevin

Recording More Than One Show On A Digital Tuner
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-05-12, 01:32 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

A couple of times, I've noticed GBPVR recording two shows at the same time on my HVR2250, but the program says it is using only one tuner, and the other tuner is asleep. My source is digital cable.

Is it possible for a QAM digital tuner to do that???

  Scheduled EPG update doesn't work?
Posted by: allstarnz - 2010-05-11, 10:59 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I can manually update the EPG, but my scheduled update at 12pm doesn't seem to work.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32 Bit

Had a a fish around in the log and this seems to perhaps be the issue.

Code:

The thing is that my two tuners both have their EPG sources set as DVB-EPG Broadcast.

Any ideas?

  ION2 are showing up
Posted by: mvallevand - 2010-05-11, 04:51 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

I see ION2's are on Newegg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product When you add memory, Win 7, drive (SSD would be nice) etc it's going to be over $400

Unfortunately it's still not a dream HTPC, with the faster Atom (in relative terms only) and the ION2 the original ION actually outperforms at times. http://www.anandtech.com/show/3702/zotac...-than-ion1

  Scan for channels remotely?
Posted by: sheppy99 - 2010-05-11, 04:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I'd like to rescan for channels in GBPVR remotely but when I try using terminal services with the console switch I get "an unhandled win32 exception occured in Config.exe" error and no changes are made.
Is there a way around this or do I have to get someone to stand at the server?
