I am having pixelation problems with a Hauppauge Nova-T 500 dual DVB-T card. I also have a Hauppauge HVR 1300 which performs without pixelation on HD signal. Also, when both of these cards are installed there are some IR/IR Blaster compatibility problems. Can you suggest another dual DVB-T card that will work well with the HVR 1300?
I see on the Hauppage forums that they say they will have a DVB-T2 USB PVR stick out "before the world cup".
I know it's early days, but will GBPVR support it?
In my area they have been broadcastiing DVB-T2 BBC & ITV HD since last December. I can already view them in HD through my DVB-S tuners, but when Channels 4 & 5 join in later this year would be great to add a DVB-T2 tuner to GBPVR...
I have an intermittent problem with some recordings not playing. When I hit PLAY, I get a black screen and PVRX2 becomes unresponsive and I have to kill it with Task Manager. The most recent instance was with a cable box recording via firewire, Graphrecorder and the ATI mux. PVRX2-native log snippet attached. If this is something related to the firewire recordings, that's OK, cause I realize they are "unsupported". An additional note is that this has only occurred after switching to Win7. I could provide a chunk of the recording if that would help.
Hi,
Newb to GBpvr here. It works fantastic and I was loving the Xsuite.
Today, Xrecord is not available in the menu tree and isn't in the Config scree, although the programs are in the plugin directory and were working.
Note the same thing has happened to TvListings. Latest GBPVR Version on a Windows XP box.
New GBPVR install.
Using Schedules Direct 7 day free trial, chose a lineup for my zip code.
- I closed PVRX2
- I ran Config, edited my capture device, Emptied EPG, the Updated EPG.
- During the update I could see that GBPVR was going out to Schedules Direct and getting scheduling information.
- I closed config
- Ran PVRX2, still "No show details" for all channels.
My system clock is the correct date and time.
Scrolling ahead and back in schedule shows "no show details" for all channels.
I've run SageTV for years. About 2 years ago something happened to the pc setup such that I couldn't get sound when viewing livetv. Playing back video files were fine so I just lived with it.
Stopped using Sage (not much of a tv viewer anyways) a while ago, before the digital TV transition.
Today decided to set up my Hauppauge 950Q with GBPVR on the same pc as I'm now watching OTA and wanted to record in the Oscars in HD. Same problem as in the SageTV days - no audio during liveTV viewing.
I can play wav files file, windows sounds fine. Playing back recorded files is fine. Why do I get no audio during livetv playback?
I have been changing my setup alot over the last weeks, so far so good but this ones got me puzzled. Yesterday I upgraded my server to windows7, I have 2 NMTs a PCH A100 plugged dierectly into my router and an istar plugged into a switch which is plugged into my router.
When I installed I ran the full gbpvr etc...install from the wiki and added the PCH during setup. I then edited config.xml to start 2 NMT/MVP's and re-ran the MVPCx2 installer again but only ticked the update PCH settings (or similar wordage).
So the problem I have is the PCH is fine but the istar gives me intermittant no video. I can play recordings from the NMT ok, but about 9/10 if I go into gbpvr on the NMT the front end is ok but it wont play live tv or recordings, the mini guide comes up ok and I get audio (hdmi) but the screen stays black unless I back out to the gbpvr front end. Sometimes a cold boot of the NMT fixes it but mostly it doesn't. It must be something simple i've missed, the videos play ok but just not from MVPMCx2.....

Card: Hauppauge Nova-T USB, work successfully with GBPVR for several years
Today no picture in PVRX2, everything is normal with Hauppauge software.
There haven' been any changes whatsoever in system (Win XP) - no new programs or anything. I did restart PC several times.
What could be the problem? Is it something in Windows that GBPVR uses and original software doesn't? But then again, there haven't been any changes in Windows...
