I have Dish Network with one receiver which has two outputs. The "second" output is set to NTSC channel 60 on coax and the STB is controlled using the RF transmitter that came with the receiver. The remote only transmits in RF and the STB does not have an IR input for the "second" output (the remote for the first STB output transmits both RF and IR, but the second remote only transmits on RF). Is there any kind of hardware that can duplicate the RF output of the remote so I can put a GBPVR PC in the room with the connection for the "second" output.
I am running GBPVR on my WHS along with HD HomeRun but cannot get LiveTV.
GBPVR installed fine and I can access it from a client Vista PC to see and play all videos, photos, music, etc.
I also have the XMLTV EPG data working (I think) - importing from digiguide and exporting out to a data.xml file.
I installed HDHomerun and can detect all the freeview channels using the HDHomerun utility.
When I try and detect the channels in GBPVR - I get nothing, no channels, zilch. It looks thourgh 6 channels C34, C31, C48, C21, C24,C27 and finds nothing - not a glimmer! I've attached some screen shots in teh hope someone will easily spot what I've done wrong.
I have a hanns-g monitor 28" 1920x1200 and PVRX@ set at widescreen 16x9 but the people are a little tall streched, it's not bad I can live with it. I tried 16x10 then they are a little fat and scaling does not work that well with the f7 @ 16.x10.
I saw the parameters in config.xml and tried changing them but strange things happened. So a explanation of the setting would help.
My setup is done with no internet connection to it at all. My PC is an HP M900th with a Vixus PureTV tuner (Yeah I know, it's actually working now.. go figure) running Win7-64Bit. So far, everything is running great. I used GBPVR as just a movie player at first since it worked with my MCE Remote flawlessly. I just now got the EPG Data to work using MC2XML and I'm happy with not having to worry about EPG Data in there. (I've used SageTV in the past and it's too buggy... Windows MC requires internet or a mass amount of hacks to get EPG loaded from what I've seen) My PC is used for entertainment (TV, movies, Music) along with graphics work & some gaming. I have 2-23" Acer H233hbmid monitors and a breakout (RGB Component) to my 34" Toshiba CRT running 1080i. Let me know if you need any other details.
Here's a couple of questions. Keep in mind I'm still very new to GBPVR & it's guide / epg processing.
1. What's the best plugin / mod to get the Guide to show me when a show is New or a Re-Run in the info? Can this also be an option on recording? For instance, I only want it to record "New" episodes of Family Guy? (SHUSH! I love that show!) I've been reading on a couple of them but I'm afraid to start hacking and butchering my GBPVR install since I'm being very careful as to not upset Win7.
2. Does the MC2XML grab all of this information anyways? Or is that going to be another project?
3. Is there a way to assign or modify your MCE Remote functions? Say I want the MC button to start GBPVR instead?
Sorry if this is so general, I wasn't sure this belonged in a specific place other than plug-ins?
I managed to install gppvr and got it to work with my AnySEE E30 C+ on Windows XP Pro SP3 and would now like to get the remote to operate with gbpvr.
I have gone through wiki tutorials and searched on google and this forum but i cannot find anything that could enable me to proceed.
When i try to get config.exe to learn the new remote as a USB-UIRT, config.exe crashes. I am not able to find the right logs to post here. Perhaps someone can give me an idea on how to go about with that if this would help someone help me ?
I have tried to use some of the other usb-uirt profiles in the channel changer of the capture card but that does not seem to do the trick.
At the moment, the only positive thing is that the remote is able to move the mouse on the screen but sadly not in gbpvr.
Hear from someone ?
Thanks in advance.

Apologies that this thread occurs in Hardware section. i meant to write it here.
First of all, I am using fireSTB with the channel.exe command sent over firewire to a Motorola DCH-3200 STB.
My channels change ok using firewire and the fireSTB channel.exe, but whenever a new recording starts on the same channel as the recording just before it, the info screen pops up. This screws up the first 2 or 3 minutes of the show.
Any idea why this info screen would be popping up when changing to the same channel it is already on? If so, any idea how to stop this from happening?
I am new to GBPVR and I have 2 problems.
1. After a channel scan, some channels show as Unknown#. By checking the schedules I have worked out that 1 is ITV1, 2 ITV2, 4 Rabbit, 5 Channel 4, 6 E4, 7 More4, 8 Channel 4+1, 11 Gay Rabbit, 12 Five and 13 ITV2+1; there are no Unknowns 3, 9 or 10. There doesnât seem to be a way to change the channel name via the Channels tab. (Kworldâs HyperMediaCenter identifies these channels correctly.)
2. The EPG gives (no show details) for BBC1, BBC2, ITV3, ITV4, Film4, eight of the Unknowns and 15 other channels, although when I click on them they show the current programme. How can I get the programme titles for those channels to show in the EPG?
Thank you for your help.
