I have a pretty weak machine (WinXP, P4 3.2GHz, ATI 2400HD PRO) and I would like to watch h.264 .ts recordings in GBPVR.

It seems that I can play these recordings in MPC-HC or graphedit using MPC-HC standalone decoder with DXVA enabled. I can also also play recordings using Cyberlink h.264 (TechnoTrend) decoder, that came with the DVB tuner, and Cyberlink ts splitter in graphedit, so there seems to be enough processing power if DXVA and a proper sequence of filters is used.

I tried both decoders in GBPVR with no success. MPC-HC h.264 standalone decoder does not work at all in pvrx2. With the cyberlink decoder I am able to get sound and blinking screen with an occasional frame in both custom and full screen vmr9. It looks like mpeg2 splitter, which is used by pvrx2, breaks the playback since the graph whith mpeg2 splitter does not play well in graphedit as well.

Is there any possibilty to make h.265 playback working within pvrx2 on this basic hardware or I need a 2 core processor? Does anybody have a working solution?

after much to-ing and fro-ing sort of nearly there with new Wiki homepage.

Pictures used are just current from existing homepage and will be changed, just there for idea.

Most text is knicked from Hairy's new Webpage and can obviously be changed.

Just not so vague layout idea after all discussion.

How do I add these two channels on there own?

I don't want all the other freesat channels as I can use my other freeview card for them and get all the EPG.

I just can't seem to find a way of adding single channels in GB-PVR.

Any ideas?

Hi all, GBPVR is all new to me since stumbling across it yesterday. I've read tons about it in both the forums and the Wiki documentation and I got to say I'm impressed. Next step is to put it on my laptop and have a play in an effort to replace my current XBMC setup.

I'm looking at my options for setup and was wondering about device location. I intend eventually to set a server up in the loft where I'll run the satellite feeds to for capture. This will be connected to my existing wired network and NAS. And I will put a a Revo 9310 on the back of the LCD as a client.

Question I am looking for an answer to concerns my putting a Hauppauge HD PVR in the lounge. Primarily it will be for for capturing a HD feed off my PS3, but I would also be looking at hooking it up to the Virgin box as an additional source.

With the HD PVR physically connected to the Revo Client for capture, would the server be able to see the HD PVR across the ethernet, much like a shared device or am I barking up the wrong tree with my approach?

Also, how does/can GBPVR select/switch the source inputs on the HD PVR?

The fall back is to record manually using the TME software, but it sure would be nice to be able to hit the rec button on the remote and have GBPVR do it all for me.

I just started getting a windows interactive services message that says it has a message that can not be shown on the desktop. When i click show message, my screen goes dark and then comes up light blue with a message from UltraXMLTV_Enhancer that says "The file has already been enhanced. We can't do it again." This interactive services window will continue to show up on my desktop until i restart the machine. Any ideas how to stop this from happening?

Hi everyone , ive been reading on this forum (in the shadows) for awhile....reading and trying to figure everything out for myself but the more i read the deeper i get...i guess i need to start with what i have ....what i have done and the problems im having

pc spec ....older gateway with windows xp.. E2160 dual core processor 1.8 with 500g harddrive space 1g ddr2 upgrading to 2g soon ATI 650 pcie tv wounder and ATI 2400 video card... fx sound blaster...dish network sat ...using the svideo to the pc and 42" lcd tv connected to the pc with HDMI can use VGA if needed ..

now what i have done.. downloaded gbpvr and Initial setup guides (great guides by the way ) used the guide step by step to set up got a list of channels using Schedules Direct seems to be going good ...now the problems

1) no sound i did read about downloading the ac3filters i did and changed the config to the ac3filter but still no sound

2) after i had everything up and was getting video i noticed that the only thing i was getting was the channel my sat box was on like food network even if i changed the channel on gbpvr to tvland it was still foodnet

3) what i hoping to do is use this to watch one channel while recording another and recording shows while away or asleep and also recording in sd is fine dont have hd at this time

I have a Palm Pre which otherwise has a nicely functional web browser, virtually identical to the iPhone's browser as both are built using webkit. I haven't found any sites that it doesn't work with, save one: EWA's login screen.

When I attempt to login, after typing my userid and password if I press Enter, I get an "Invalid username or password" message and password clears out. If instead of pressing Enter I simply click the Login button, I get no message and the password field keeps it's value, but otherwise nothing happens. It never leaves this screen.

I have EWA configured to skip the login screen for users connecting from the home network, so if I'm home on my WAN the Pre works fine. I haven't found anything not functional except that login screen. So what's so special about that screen? And do you have any ideas what I might try? While I'm not a javascript programmer, I am a developer who has tweaked a few javascript programs to suit my needs on occasion.

What I did do was unhide the password hash on the panel. When trying to login from my Pre, this never gets populated, regardless of whether I click Login or press Enter. Any suggestions?

I'm having problems with video stutter when using my E-great M-34a to play video files using GBPVR. This has been going on for some time (as in, for as long as I've been using GB-PVR) going back to when I had a MediaMVP as my interface to the TV. I've tried everything I can think of to solve the problem myself but I'm out of ideas at this stage. Sometimes videos will play fine then begin to stutter at a random point during playback, playback continues without audio and with jerky, stuttered video. It can happen during playback of mkv or avi files.

My setup uses wireless G so I wondered if there was a bandwidth issue, however if the task manager is to be believed on the PC hosting GB-PVR only about 25% of the available bandwidth from that machine is being used at most, and there seems to be plenty of CPU. Its also reporting the wireless link speed as being 54 MBs. The PC communicates with the M34a through a Linksys Wireless G router and a Belkin Gaming Adapter connected to the M34a. I've upgraded to the latest 2010 version of mvpmcx2, the firmware on the M34a is up to date also.

I'm attaching the MVP-PVRX2.exe.log, as it seemed to be the only one which was getting written to during playback, I can fetch any other logs as needed. Any help is greatly appreciated, I've been a GB-PVR for several years between the MVP and now the E-great and its brilliant, I know Martin and sub have done a tonne of work to make it happen so a big thank you.

Newbie here! I've a Pinnacle 7010ix card in a Win7 x64 box. After some difficulty, I have managed to get the four DVB tuners scanned. But I am only getting minimal DVB-S EPG info - eg the next one or two programmes only, and even that is only for some channels. The EPG seems to show programme timeslots, but with just the text "(no show details)". DVB-T EPG seems fine.

I'm in the UK, and have scanned 'Astra 2A, 2B, 2D', with DVB EPG Broadcast.

Any ideas please?
