Zprocess & MVP: Can I watch DVD´s yet?
Posted by: Knobby - 2009-10-31, 07:42 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (5)

Hi folks,

I´ve been looking around in here & the wiki but couldn´t find a definite answer so thought I´d better ask in here: Can Zprocess allow the playing of DVD´s on the MVP yet? I did see somewhere that it was a planned feature.

If not, does anyone have an idea when this functionality will be available?

Thanks

Showanalyzer Doesn't Run While Show is Recording a .TS File
Posted by: ww4397 - 2009-10-31, 06:31 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (1)

I've been recording .mpg files for years and have had Showanalyzer running while the show is recording (setting is in Config). But now I'm (Comcast actually) moving to digital and recording .ts files. The problem is that GBPVR doesn't autostart SA when a .ts recording starts like it does when a .mpg recording starts.

How can I get SA to run while recording .ts files? I miss not having the commercials removed in realtime.

Thanks.

  TV Guide Freezes
Posted by: JakobO - 2009-10-31, 11:16 AM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (2)

Just discovered that I cannot enter my TV Guide on my mvp client (both of them). I have recently upgraded to 1.4.7 and I checked the TV Guide and video playback after upgrade and it worked fine. Then I installed plugin Music Lib 3 ... had various issues - uninstalled it - tried ML 2 ... didnt succeed - installed ML 3 again and managed to get it to work. However now my mvp client freezes every time I try to enter the TV Guide. Can enter and playback music/video - its just the TV Guide which dosnt work. Have enclosed log files - was unsure if I should change logging mode so set it to error!
Please help :o

  OSD Image
Posted by: Ommina - 2009-10-31, 10:39 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (2)

I'm suspicious I already know the answer, but I'm going to ask quick regardless.

Any way for a plugin to draw an image on the PlayVideoFile() OSD skin? Or am I pretty much limited to "title" and "description"?

Thanks!

Anybody using the HVR 930c in denmark?
Posted by: mila06 - 2009-10-31, 09:45 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (3)

I have some problems recording with the HVR 930c via cable, and i think i have tried alot of things.
LiveTv works without any problems, but recordings has a "hik/shot freeze" once a minute or so. It dosen't matte if i uses the TS or DVR mux, turn of all plugins, set the BDACheckSignalStatusDuringRecording=0.
I have no antivirus on my mediecenter. There isn't any CPU spikes when recording(uses around 10% when records), and there is nothing obviously in the logs.
Every now and then(once a month!) i can record a complete show without any "hiks".

I don't get it. Is the 930c just a piece of crap?

EDIT:
The pc defrags every day...

  Popcorn Hour remote issues
Posted by: imagn - 2009-10-31, 01:49 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (5)

Most of the remote function on Mvpmcx2 do not work for me. I am trying to play an in progress recording and can not pause or skip. I am assuming stop does not work, although can not verify at the moment as my wife is watching the recording.

Do i have to do something to enable the remote. I ran your installer to get mvpmcx2 up and running, should i have done anything else

Everything else is working fine.

Thanks

  Inhibit Computer Shutdown While Recording
Posted by: rwnz - 2009-10-31, 01:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (52)

When I was running XP Pro, GB-PVR, Slimm GB-PVR and a WinTV-PVR-150 on my old PC and someone tried to shutdown or hibernate the computer while it was recording then the shutdown was delayed untill recording had finished. However this inhibit is not happening on my current system - Vista Home Premium, GB-PVR v1.4.7, Slimm GB-PVR v1.8.3447.20527, WinTV-HVR-2200 - and I've been in trouble with my wife because she hates watching only the first 85% of a program! Any idea's why?

Change 'up' to channel fails (but change 'down' works)
Posted by: imilne - 2009-10-30, 05:18 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Here's a weird one (to me anyway). Hopefully it's something obvious to those in the know...

gbpvr has been happily plodding along for months now, but a couple of weeks ago, I found I could no longer change channel upwards (via keyboard, remote, or mouse) to Film4 (freeview). Changing down to it worked fine.

My channels start off as:

1. BBC1
2. BBC2
3. stv
4. Channel 4
5. Channel 5
6. BBC News
7. Film4
8. Film4+1

All of them are DVB-T freeview channels, except Film4+1 which is a DVB-S freesat channel. I can change up and down amongst all the other channels fine, but from some strange reason, I can't go from BBC News -> Film4, but I can go from Film4+1 -> Film4 (downwards). The onscreen guide data changes, but the picture stays on BBC News, but frozen. There is no sound. I guess it's some kind of failed tuning request.

Because it works going down the way, I thought it was the change between DVB-T and DVB-S tuners, but no, it makes no difference even if I move Film4 to another channel number (so it's surrounded by other DVB-T channels). Changing up to it never works, but changing down does!

Now, when this first happened a few weeks back, I eventually solved it by removing all traces of the channel (not an easy task with the number of recordings lying around from it), then readding it. It started working again.

But now it's broken again (and I've changed nothing recently, honest guv'). Deleting and readding this time has not solved the problem :-(

Every other channel - and I have about 50 or 60 of them in all - work fine.

I'm running XP Pro SP3, with three DVB-T and two DVB-S tuners, split between an external USB2 Nova-T and a Pinnacle 7010x. Latest gbpvr, and just the BBC iPlayer plugin, weather2, and cinema listings.

I've attached logs showing:

- successful channel-up from BBC1 to BBC2 (1 to 2)
- failed channel-up from BBC News to Film4 (6 to 7)
- successful channel-down from Film4+1 to Film4 (8 to 7)

Hopefully someone can help me out :-)

Thanks all.

Resume not working on HD recordings?
Posted by: Sheik Yerbouti - 2009-10-30, 01:36 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (3)

It looks like resume is not working for HD channels, at least not for the recording I made last evening. Logs attached. For testing I started watching the recording, skipped 10 minutes and stopped it. Next I chose resume from the menu and it started at the beginning. I have no resume problems on my SD recordings, but haven't tested other HD recordings.

not working in Windows 7 (Hauppauge PVR150MCE)
Posted by: anon - 2009-10-30, 10:39 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have a Hauppauge PVR150MCE capture card that used to work with GB-PVR in Windows Vista, but in Windows 7 when I click on "Live TV" or "TV Guide" in the program, nothing happens. The screen flashes but doesn't go anywhere, it just stays in the main menu. In config, the tuner card is detected as "Hauppauge PVR150MCE". I'm using 1.4.7.
