  Cannot Change Channel
Posted by: GAHart - 2009-10-12, 11:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I use GB-PVR 1.4.7 in to watch Live-TV in Time-Shift mode. After I press the record button I can no longer change the channel. All other functions work fine. After I back up to the Menu and watch Live-TV again, I can change the channel. I have set the recording service to interact with the desktop, but I do not know what to try next.

  BDA Multiplexer Small Query
Posted by: srhutch - 2009-10-12, 09:10 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I read a post the other day regarding editing TS files, where it was stated HD files are stored in TS format but SD files are mpeg.

I am using the "TS Mux" and all my files are TS. Now I have no issue with this but do wonder if I am taking up more file space than I need to for SD files.

Second question is then can you recommend a free utility that can trim the TS files HD or SD (if the format is correct) so I can remove the pre and post padding.

TIA Steve

Comcast DTA + hauppauge IR blaster
Posted by: Tamakh - 2009-10-12, 08:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Been working on this all day searching the forums for different ways to get my Hauppauge 1600 to work with Comcast.

A few post I have read have something about getting the IR blaster to work with the Comcast DTA, but I have had no luck with this so far.

Other post have said to use the GB-PVR to map the QAM channels, but when I run the "Map digital channels" it does not find any. Even used the ATSC/QAM TV Configuration with GBPVR version 1.4.7 setup guide.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction before I pull the last hair out of my head?

I'm using 1.4.7 on XP.

Thank you in advance!

  Transcode Problem
Posted by: axeman91 - 2009-10-12, 08:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi,

I'm currently running GBPVR 1.4.7 which is working very well, all apart from the transcode. I've read various threads about transcode problems, but I can't seem to find any refernce to it in the logs at all, regardless of what setting I use. I'm not sure which log file I should be looking in to be honest, but I've attached them all anyway. If someone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

  It's Canadian Thanksgiving today
Posted by: kayak4ever - 2009-10-12, 08:03 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (8)

While I am grateful for many things, the recent upgrade to GBPVR that somehow managed to get the sound working in the cinema trailers (which had eluded me for 3 years) reminds me how grateful I am for this program. To this end, I will be sending this year's donation through my son's paypal account sometime this week.

Thank you sub and happy Canadian thanksgiving!

  DVB-T Subtitles not showing
Posted by: Lyhr007 - 2009-10-12, 06:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (46)

I hope someone can help me.

I am trying to get DVB-T subtitles to show on live TV and on recorded tv (.ts file).

In config under "Misc" I have checked "Enable DVB Subtitles".

I dont know what else to look for?

I dont even know if the .ts file captures the subtitles? As far as I can read the subtitles are captured.

I live in Denmark, not sure if that is important.

Analog USB tuner - Pinnacle PCTV USB Pro
Posted by: pgbpvr - 2009-10-12, 04:12 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Hello everyone,

I'm having trouble finding a supported analog usb tuner to buy in Portugal, hauppage over here is pretty much non-existant... Sad

I did find a Pinnacle PCTV USB Pro, which "looks like should be supported" since it encodes in MPEG 2, but it's not in the supported devices list.

Can anyone confirm that it works or that it doesn't, please?

Thanks to everyone,
Pedro.

TVGuide shows no entries for channels
Posted by: Scifidude - 2009-10-12, 03:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

Hi,

I've been running 1.4.7 successfully for several weeks now. This past weekend I attempted to schedule a recording and the guide was empty. It shows the list of 7 ATSC channels I have defined, but no data for any of them.

I played around for several hours trying to get the guide updated but was unsuccessful.

Since I only have two shows setup for recurring recording at this point would I be better off renaming the "gbpvr.db3 " file to "old.gbpvr.db3", copying the "empty.db3" to "gbpvr.db3 " and reloading the TVGuide and re-doing my recurring recordings?

Is there any other valuable info in the database other than the TVGuide and if so how can I recover it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Scifidude

  Certain DVDs won't play
Posted by: Torquewrench - 2009-10-12, 01:15 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Ripped two of my daughter's "Your Baby Can Read" DVDs and they won't play. I originally ripped them with DVDFab and later tried DVDDecrypter. PowerDVD will play them outside of GBPVR. I'm using Dscaler and AC3Filter, but I've tried other codecs with the same result. Other ripped DVDs play fine. I've attached the logs.

Thanks,

Phil/TW
