In case anyone is trying to download either the mvpmc dongle, or download/run NMTInstall, CSI Install or get any files for the NMT/PCH I have had a few message telling me mvpmc.org has been down since yesterday. Jon who runs mvpmc.org is aware of the problem and he has opened a ticket witht the host.

Because of the need to retune after the 30th Sept my set up now has channels with no audio. My list of channels when I do a scan lists BBC2 twice. The second details audio 2. When I map these and try to view the channel I get no sound on BBC2 and sound and picture on BBC2 Audio 2. BBC1 is fine but I now have a real mixture of sound / no sound channels.

I've removed the capture source several times and rescanned but I keep getting differing results.

So I've gone from all being fine before the 30th to a completely messed up TV Guide.

I'm using gbpvr for quite a few years now. I started with an AMD Athlon 2700+, an Asus board, a hauppauge pvr350.

In the beginning I used the tv out hardware mpeg decoder from the 350 and the picture on my tv was quite good. Then sub discontinued the support of the tv out and I changed to the tv out of the board, the resolution was higher, but the videos were a little bit blurry. The sub started the next generation with pvrx2 and my gfx card didn't support vmr9. Therefore I purchased an old ATI 9600 and it worked again quite good. Then I bought a Samsung 37" LEB650 with HD and suddenly I saw how blurry the picture really was :o) I thought its time to say goodbye to my old hw and changed to an Intel 5300 duo core cpu, Gigabyte Mainboard with HD sound, HDMI out, 2GB Kingston RAM, 1TB Samsung Spinpoint, (very) low noise housing and a DVB-C TT 1501. Now the pc is very silent, very fast, but the picture is not as good as I imagined it. It's still a little bit blurry an motion blurring also occurs, if I play the the same file with the internal media player of the samsung, the picture is sharper, clearer and most of all nomotion blurring at all.

Does anybody have an Idea how to improve that? Best resolution, best mpeg2/divx/xvid encoder, renderer or something how I can get rid of the motoin blurring?

And thanks to sub for this great work over all the years, if only windows would work that good ;o)

Recently I've been having a problem whereby random shows record
in high speed. An hour long show records with fewer frames than expected, e.g. 23,374 frames & length 12:59:00 compared to a normal recording, e.g. 109,665 frames & length 1:01:00. This makes the show unplayable as all the action is played in high speed. All my recordings are in analog.

The problem started, maybe by coincidence, when I added a 2nd video capture card and upgraded to the latest WinTV 7 drivers (File name: WinTV7_CD_2.exe Date: 9/9/2009).

Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

When I use GBPVR to transcode a .ts file to xVid format it creates a file in 720 X 576 format. Playing the file gives a 4X3 type image with wrong aspect ratio. Pressing F7 displays the video correctly in fullscreen on my 16X9 monitor.

I am using Windows 7, the latest version of GBPVR and the SAF codec pack.

My question is - is this how transcode is supposed to work? Is there a configuration option I can use to ensure transcode creates a widescreen video without me having to use F7?

I have procured 10 hauppauge pvr 150s off ebay.

Would like to know if GB-PVR can run more than 2 cards simultaneously on one PC. And if yes, maximum how many cards can be used in one machine?

Also, can multiple cards be used for simultaneous recording only or also for simultaneous viewing (picture in picture style)?

1- I noticed that there is a Vtype in the tuning string that appeared on one of the channels, what is this? and are there more types than the ones you gave above that could appear? what are they?

2- are the frequencies the same from tuner to tuner or are they different? I want to see if its possible to ask the community for the frequency string if I can't find it.

3- there are some channels that I us that are marked as encrypted but clearly are not. Why?

4- I just added a new channel 136 to each tuner line using the GBPVR config. (I edited each tuner line and clicked on the add channel button). It has assigned channels 713 and 714 (one for each tuner instead of just one) to the channel list instead of just one entry for channel 136. How do I fix this?

5- the tv guide in PVR use to display a yellow line from the arrows at the top and bottom of the tv guide box. It's no longer there. How do I get it back?

6- is there documentation that explains what the variables in config.ini are? I want to make sure that if I change one its for what I think it should and not for something else.

I am new to GB-PVR.
I have a MCE 2005 machine that I just installed GB-PVR (1.4.7)onto. I am trying to view the guide so I can setup recording. When I launch PVRX2 I get the "Sorry this system does not support the required VMR9 video render" I am accessing the machine from a remote desktop connection. I do not have a monitor hooked up to the PVR, I always did it this way with MS Media Center.
