I've just uploaded v2.9 of the TV Listings plugin at the wiki. Changes include:
Quote:- fixed a bug where the status image on the timeline was scaled wrong
- added Play/Watch keyboard/remote shortcuts for the details popup
- added option to include in-progress recordings in the âWhatâs Newâ recordings list
- reintroduced reminders to pre-book a show for later watching
- added option to make âOKâ the default button in confirmation popups
- fixed no longer working Amazon Lookup due to their API change
Please note the following things when upgrading:
- You don't need to overwrite your existing tvlistings.db3 database file
- GBPVR 1.4.7 is required to use the reminder/pre-book feature
- The skin.xml file for the tv listings skin was updated, too, so, if you're using another skin than the default "blue" or "slick" (updated version available at the wiki) skin, please wait until your skin officially supports the new version
i have the credit card sized hauppauge 35 button remote (7 rows x 5 cols) that came with the HVR 950 usb tuner. the remote sensor is directly on the side of the tuner. is this remote supported or do i need some special patches?
Decided to try and use the NMTInstall to do a full dummies install. I am running this on a freshly installed XP. NMTInstall crashes when it tried to start downloading something. Hard to see what since it dies so quickly. Looks like it was trying to download an xml file. Is there some place to look for error messages?
I want to try to iron out this issue BEFORE I upgrade to the latest 1.4.7 so that I'm not juggling too many problems. I haven't had much time lately to pursue this but was hoping someone could point me in the right direction.
I am trying to refine postprocessing.bat to handle some .ts -> .mpg transcoding (for MVP) and find that Gbpvr 1.3.11 is recording recurring files but that SOME (no discernable pattern yet) transcodes result in "valid" .mpg files being produced but NO corresponding entry being available in Gbpvr. So now I have a disk filled with lots of recurring recordings -- seemingly transcoded correctly -- but I can't view them.
Thoughts/Questions:
A) If some application called from postprocessing.bat sets an return/exit code, is this honored by GBPVR in some way? Specifically, if a non-zero exit code was seen by Gbpvr, does it fail to update the database? I know that some of the ffmpeg transcodes are seeing "errors" in the transcode but it appears to finish. I was wondering if an exit code "thrown" here might get carried up the chain as an exit code when postprocessing.bat completes -- and Gbpvr might not update the database under this condition.
B) Does anyone have a quick way to "import" my recorded but seemingly ignored files other than hand-generating a new recording-dump.xml?
Configuration details --
I am using Gbpvr 1.3.11 configured with an HVR-1600 (Digital) capture card to record from Comcast with Clear QAM channels.
Because I am a MVP user, I have been using ffmpeg to transcode from the recorded .ts files over to .mpg. This has been problematic but I am making progress by tinkering with PostProcessing.bat to give me the right order of ffmpeg transcode (for .ts files only), followed by Comskip.
I have Schedule Direct and DirectTV. In Schedule Direct, I have to have a DirectTV lineup, and a local broadcast lineup. The DirectTV line up has channels that are whole numbers 72, 202, etc... But the localbroadcast channels have dots followed by numbers, 5.1, 5.2, 10.1, 10.2, etc... So when GBPVR gets the listings, all my DirectTV channels listings are fine, and the local channels are empty. I couldn't find a place in GBPVR that allows me to use channels with the dot notation. Someone in this forum must have been through this, I searched, but couldn't find anything relevant.
I just moved in a House and will change my configuration into DVB-S reciewing. My sat setup is that I use a multiswich that puts together hotbird and astra.
Can you recomand any tv-card (budget but good ;-) ) that will do the job?
Maybe with hw decoding and maybe hdtv too :-) ?
Using MDAPI/CnxCam with Cinergy C PCI HD capture device I can watch encrypted channels in live-tv, but recording does not decrypt. Sub, can you take a look and see what's wrong?
My wife has been taping the same show ("The Tyra Banks Show") for some time
but today it didn't record. How do I debug this situation?
It appears that she has a mixture of recurring and "record once" entries
in gbpvr.db3 but nevertheless the recurring entry should have picked up the
show. However when I look at the logs it seems to indicate that the
recording wasn't scheduled. The show was on at the normal time
according to the TV guide.
