  Still can't record any QAM
Posted by: pcostanza - 2009-07-03, 09:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I'm still trying to figure out why only 1 machine is having trouble with QAM tuners. I've got nothing but 0 file sizes with my HDHR and HVR2250. I've got the latest drivers (none work) and latest firmware for the HDHR.
Here's where I am----I can watch live tv with these tuners but sometimes, I get a black screen and no sound but if I switch to another QAM channel it works so I can switch back and then the first channel works as well.
I don't understand what 'failed to locate filter' means but here's what I see:

Quote:2009-07-03 16:06:23.754 INFO About to attempt QAM tuning via USB HDTV-GT Tuner
2009-07-03 16:06:24.269 VERBOSE FindFilterByName failed to locate filter: USB HDTV-GT Tuner

2009-07-03 16:06:24.269 VERBOSE SubmitTuningRequest() complete
I've also tried firewall and virus tweaking and it doesn't make any difference. These tuners work in WinTV 7 and Media Center. I'm running W7 RC1 but running the same thing on system 2 and the HDHR and HVR1600 tuners work just fine.
Logs attached....thanks.

When selecting "Live TV" GBPVR crashes, however the recording status show the tuner recording in Preview mode. Attached are my logs. Thank you.

  No Channels Found ATSC HDHomeRun
Posted by: Seizuriffic - 2009-07-03, 03:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (17)

I want to use GB-PVR with a HDHomeRun for OTA ATSC recordings but can't get through the config.

Specs:
XP Pro SP3
HDHomeRun version 20090415 with firmware update
GBPVR10311
patches installed from v1.3.11 survival guide
EPG - Schedules Direct

Updated the BDA.ini to match my unit number and ATSC

[HDHomeRun Tuner #1]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
;TUNING_SPECIAL=1
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner mynumber-0
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=Output1

[HDHomeRun Tuner #2]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
;TUNING_SPECIAL=1
RECEIVER_ONLY_MODE=1
FILTER_RECEIVER=Silicondust HDHomeRun Tuner mynumber-1
PIN_RECEIVER_IN=Input0
PIN_RECEIVER_OUT=Output1

Installed HDHR software and ran setup. Channels are detected and viewable with VLC. Setup creates a C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Silicondust\HDHomeRun\Digital Antenna.xml file with the frequencies and guide information, but does not appear to update the C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\BDA\ATSC\ qam.ini or all.ini file.

In Config - Capture Sources I added my device using Digital Recording Plugin and selecting the HDHomeRun Tuner #1 which now shows the type as ATSC. I selected Schedules Direct for the EPG and added my account information. Channel Changer is set to No Channel Changer Required. I can save and Update EPG, which lists the local channel names.

The Map Digital Channel process scans using the all.ini file and shows several strong channels but completes with No Channels Found.

config.exe-native.log shows somethiing like this for the detected channels:

repeating over and over.

Within PVRX2 I can Search the guide and see the shows, but the TV Guide and Live TV pages will not display.

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, reregisterfilters, reinstalling BDA filters, adding codec packs, and hours of forum searching. I have run through the HDHomeRun setup again and tried alternate application settings in the HDHomeRun Setup application (GB-PVR, Other: ATSC/QAM, Other: ATSC/Remap) I have tried messingwith the all.ini and QAM.ini files, using QAM.ini manager and jumping up and down. No luck so far.

I'm excited to use the software, but am stuck. All help appreciated.

  More TV Guide?
Posted by: hech54 - 2009-07-03, 11:08 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

New User....aka NOOB here.
After a morning of setup...I finally figured out how to
get gbpvr to run my Hauppauge PVR-250.
My channels are pretty much OK....better than I expected
for here in Germany.
BUT....is there any way to see more of the TV Guide? Right now
it would show from 1PM to 2:30PM.
Is there any way to see farther ahead?

Thank You for listening.

  Schedule recordings not changing channels at start of recording
Posted by: Gerald - 2009-07-03, 08:15 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Any form of scheduled recording does not do channel change on decoder.

Hip is configured correctly as channel changing works fine thru for everything else including selecting program from TV Guide.

I have included log files herewith if they could be viewed tolet me know what i have done wrong.

Thanks in advance ...

  Hauppauge MCE Soft Encoder bitrate
Posted by: drmuffin - 2009-07-03, 01:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Is it possible to tweak the Hauppauge MCE Soft Encoder bitrate settings? Even when I increase the values in GB-PVR, they are always the same.

  Enhanced Web Admin (EWA) Build 81 Released
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2009-07-03, 01:13 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - No Replies

Build 81 of EWA has been released. You can download it directly here or on the wiki.

Post any issues in the EWA Support Sub-Forum.

Date: 2009-07-02 Build Number: 81 Changes:

  • UncleJohnsBand: Updated taglib-sharp to most recent release level.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Updated CSS for CSS pages to display correctly within IE8.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Correct long-standing CSS library display issue.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Increased array size in Mange Recordings to prevent array crash when more than 1000 entries are available.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added secured SOAP based web service interface providing most GBPVR/EWA features. See wiki for details.
  • UncleJohnsBand: CSS General Notes:
    • CSS Note: To access CSS based screens use guide2.aspx as your start page.
    • CSS Note: CSS screens are coded in strict standards mode. This will make future updates easier and provides the best cross-browser (Firefox / IE) compatibility. However, this also means that the CSS sceens will only be fully supported by IE 7 and FireFox. Some screens will not work correctly in IE6. Sorry.
    • CSS Note: CSS screens are optimized for screens with 1024x768 resolution or higher. Lower resolution will just cause more scrolling on some screens.
    • CSS Note: Please post feedback/bugs in the EWA CSS Guide sticky thread located in the EWA support forum.
