  Timer
Posted by: hansol123 - 2009-05-03, 09:58 AM - Forum: DVB-T Radio - Replies (5)

Dear Brian

The program is working well.

My wife is nagging me to record programs when we are out of the house.

Is there any way of running a script from scheduler that would fire up PRX2 and the radio plugin set permanently at say radio 4.

Thanks for your assistance

Maurice

  Zero Sized Recordings
Posted by: Jonnster - 2009-05-03, 09:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have a Skystar2 card using BDA drivers on Windows XP Pro. I tried GB-PVR for the first time last night, setup the channels, EPG, etc. And then set a recording for 21:20. I put the PC in sleep mode.

The PC woke up just before 21:20 as I hoped and I could see the hard drive light continously going off so assumed the recording was working. Afterwards I went into PVRX2 and recordings. There it was listed and it said ready. I tried to play it and nothing happened. Then looking in the recordings directory I find a zero sized .ts file with the correct name.

Why is this not working?

Prompts for resume but doesn't actually resume?
Posted by: jksmurf - 2009-05-03, 05:23 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (23)

Unlike others I always get the resume prompt, but resume doesn't actually seem to work unless it's been just a short while since I paused.

If there is a long period or a GBPVR restart or start from wake, GBPVR very nicely prompts for resume and "lools" like it will do so, but doesn't actually resume.

Any hints here?

HVR-1600 ATSC video is bigger than screen
Posted by: dittrich - 2009-05-03, 12:06 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Running 1.3.11 (upgraded today) and installed an HVR-1600 card this morning.

I got through the Map Channels to EPG guide part so I do get OTA HD channels to play in Live TV...however, the upper left quarter of the HD video is all that displays and it fills the screen. Playing OTA HD recordings does the exact same thing. Using F7 to change the ratio doesn't help. Cable SD (on the analog tuner) & even the OTA digital SD stations (on the HD tuner) display correctly.

The computer is hooked to an LCD TV via a VGA connection. The video card is an Intel 82945G Express with 128MB & max resolution is 1024x768, which is what it's running at. Cable SD & even the OTA digital SD stations display correctly.

Playback works in the WinTV software that came with the card, though it does letterbox HD channels.

Would a new video card be a solution? I'm planning on ordering this card from NewEgg this week.

Thanks, in advance!

GraphRecorder External via Executables Tab Ignored
Posted by: observer_11 - 2009-05-02, 09:44 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - No Replies

Graphrecorder does not seem to execute any of the commands and parameters I have on the "External via Executables" tab. The External via Graph tabs seem to work fine however. Smile

The only reason I am using the External tab is to power on my Motorola STB before tuning to a channel for preview or record. If I manually power on the STB the external preview graph loads and I get audio and video.

  pre and post padding problems
Posted by: corycs - 2009-05-02, 09:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

I've been having a problem with gbpvr with the pre and post recording padding. I have it set to 3 minutes on both but when I set up a recording in the tv guide the recording stops at the hour when i view it. Any help would be appreciated.

  Avermedia Bravo h788
Posted by: uniontown - 2009-05-02, 07:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am a longtime user of gbpvr -- It is an excellent program and much appreciated. I use it on various computers and cards (emuzed maui III, emuzed maui II, avermedia volar max usb) and have never had a problem setting the cards up to utilize gbpvr. I recently purchased an avermedia bravo hybrid pci-e, h788, (AVerMedia AVerTV Bravo Hybrid - PCI-E MTVBHPCIR PCI-Express x1 Interface) and tried to set up gbpvr to use it. I am only interested in OTA atsc. In any event it is not one of the supported cards. The config when asked for only the cards in the computer sees it as a averTv hybrid nanoexpress, and it tuned in the OTA ATSC channels and it seems to work, but when recording I am getting a audio sync problem which gets worse as the recording gets longer. I was wondering if someone has the bda.ini entry for this particular card which I could insert. (I really do not understand the graphedit instructions to set up a unsupported card -- or I am too lazy and am looking for a shortcut (a cut and paste entry) to edit the bda.ini file. I know my own limitations in editing things and I know that the people who post on this forum are far more knowledgeable than I will ever be. I am hopeful that this would correct my problem.
Also if anyone has any advice about this particular card and setting it up I would certainly appreciate it. --- I am using version 1.3.11

PVRX2 crash on start: .NET issue?
Posted by: lamiral - 2009-05-02, 03:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (17)

I've installed GBPVR for the first time. Installation went fine, but when I try to start PVRX2, I get an error message from Microsoft .NET Framework (an exception has occured...)
I've installed .NET Framework 3.5, but still the same issue. I've also tried to remove prior versions of .NET, no sucess.
Any suggestion where I should look at?
Attached is the log that .NET produces

Thanks,

  Watched Recordings
Posted by: jathef - 2009-05-02, 02:13 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

The wife and I have interest in several shows but our schedules do not allow us to watch the recordings at the same time. It would be really helpful if we could look at the details of a recording to see if the other person has already watched the recording. Then the second person to watch the recording would know it is safe to delete the recording. This would make it much easier to keep our recordings cleaned up.

Here's what I am thinking for the feature... Somewhere in the config screen present an area to list names as users of the system. Then in the DVR application when you select a recording and are presented with options, list the users from the config screen with a check box (or some other flagged item). Then user could select their name if the show is a rerun or if they have just watched the recording to tell the other users of the system the recording can be removed.

Thanks!
