  Running custom Auto-Convert
Posted by: khaver - 2009-02-27, 09:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

How do your make GBPVR run a custom Auto-Convert? In the Config, Processing tab there is an "Auto-Convert TS recordings to:" box. When set to something I assume it calls ffmpeg to do the conversion. How can I get it to run a batch file or a different exe program instead of ffmpeg?

The reason I'd like to do this is because right now, while using multi-record, for some reason that Sub is looking into, postprocessing.bat doesn't run on all the recordings when they're back to back. I would like to try having the "Auto-Convert TS recordings" run my postprocessing.bat (renamed to something else so GBPVR won't try to run it again) using the "ASAP" setting so it sort of mimics how GBPVR runs the postprocessing.bat file after a recording.

I used your wonderful plugin to get all the data for my movies

I have a slight problem, when GBPVR reads the xml file created it is missing some field and there is one incorrectly displayed

in GBPVR i get title which is fine
runtime, this is incorrect and displays the rating from imdb
and then i get a description which is fine

How can this be corrected

I uploaded a sample xml file, but have verified all are like this

Recording service crashing when tuning qam channels
Posted by: naador - 2009-02-27, 07:37 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I've always had some major issues tuning qam channels, mainly just files that would never begin to grow despite being able to view them in channel mapping in config. This has been greatly improved by the recent survival guide patches and the psiparser from here http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=41036

The problem I have now is that about 25% of the time when a recording starts or I try to view live tv the recording service crashes. Before I applied the patches the recording would fail to start (0 byte files about 75% of the time) but recording service wouldn't crash so I could just go about my business. Another thing to note is that I enabled live preview and tried tuning every qam channel I have and they all appeared properly.

Attached are logs of a failed attempt to watch live tv from a qam channel w/ timeshifting. Let me know if I can provide any more info.

Thanks
-Jim

  C4 Issues
Posted by: lemming - 2009-02-27, 06:45 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi

Is there anything unusual about NZ's channel C4??

HTPC uses DVB-T tuners for NZ free to air. All channels ok, but C4 will crash GB-PVR 50% of time. Haven't noticed any problems with other channels.

Running 1.3.11

Let me know if any/which logs would help

Thanks

Having playback issues with recorded programs
Posted by: ddbabes - 2009-02-27, 03:22 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

I have searched and tried most of the suggestions posted previously but to no avail. I have a dual ore dual xeon proc machine with 4GB RAM, and a NVIDIA Quadro 3600 video card. I am running XP64, and using a Pinncle 800E USB HDTV stick. Watching programs is fine, it even records. But when i playback there are serious problems. The video and audio are choppy. I tried playing the recorded programs in the software itself, PowerDVD,WMP11, WMP10, and even installed Klite codecs and used WMP classic. I still have issues. Can nyone please help?

PC software Client options for LiveTV
Posted by: zaldwaik - 2009-02-27, 03:06 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (6)

I have recently bought a new EEE box PC to use as a client for recordings/movies playback and I have been playing around with GBPVR to make this work (http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=41092)

I have not been successful in achieving my goal so far. I have two tuners, analog (sat dish) and ATSC (Broadcast HD). I cannot run two instances of GBPVR on the same box, so I am now looking for other PC software-based client options that can run alongside GBPVR (I am not giving up on GBPVR on the main machine) that may allow me to stream LiveTv for both mpg and ATSC sources.

I am aware of mediaportal and other HTPC packages, but I am looking for advice from those who might have tried these options with similar needs as mine.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

  mc2xml not updating EPG, v1.3.11
Posted by: H1600 - 2009-02-27, 02:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

Hi All,
Installed v1.3.11 several months ago and using mc2xml for EPG updates in U.S. I can manually run mc2xml.exe to get the latest xmltv.xml file, But GBPVR does not seem to ever run this file. So, every two weeks I have to go and run mc2xml to get the new listings...
Config> Capture Sources> EPG Update set for 5:00AM, with wake, reload, and no duplicate options checked.

Any help appreciated!
Greg
