  Error When Clicking Load
Posted by: Aubs - 2009-01-29, 04:13 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (5)

I'm new to GBPVR, after looking and testing out many other media programs. I installed GBPVR and then installed the moviewiz plugin. yet when i got to load movies his is the error I get:

SQLite Error
table Movies has no column named offlineFlag

I attached a picture of the error too.

How do I fix this?

  Recurring Manual Recording - Keep Number of Recordings
Posted by: fering - 2009-01-29, 03:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I started recording a show that either the local TV station can't seem to get the time right in the guide data.

Is there is a way to limit the number of recordings kept when doing a manual recording?

Using GBPVR 1.3.11 (despite what my sig might say at this point)

  NO GO since .NET Update yesterday
Posted by: philb49 - 2009-01-29, 03:52 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (24)

Yesterday I did a Windows update which included an update to .NET framework to V3.5.

I rebooted after installation as requested to find that GBPVR now no longer worked, with a window to report this mis-behavior to Microsoft. Having saved the config files, I un-installed GBPVR and attempted to re-install. There is now a "Fatal Error" window saying "Installation ended prematurely because of an error". :mad:

I have even tried system restore pre the .NET change and the problem persists.

My last ghost image is July 2008. Is this the only way to fix the problem?

Any ideas?

Phil

  Not recording off QAM tuner
Posted by: rwalker777 - 2009-01-29, 03:43 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

After applying a couple patches over the last day or so, I am no longer getting recordings off my QAM tuners (Hauppauge HVR-1250). The file is created, but it is always 0 bytes. I have all the patches applied from the survival thread and the updated pvrx2.exe to fix the MVP filename issue (which was the last patch I did and the suspected culprit).

Logs attached.

  Tuning Spaces
Posted by: gf404 - 2009-01-29, 03:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

After much playing around with various DVB-T tuners (and their associated software) in order to find suitable tuners for GB-PVR, I have noticed that I now have 10 or so "Tuning Spaces" appearing in the RecordingService-native.exe logs.

Are these likley to have any impact on recordings and can I just delete them from the registry (except the GB-PVR ones)?

From memory the GB-PVR Tuning spaces are 1 - 5 (as listed in logs). If I do delete these from registry, will they be re-created or will it require a re-install to set them up?

  New User: Are there 'recording groups' in gbpvr?
Posted by: KiwiJulz - 2009-01-29, 01:57 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi- new user question, hopefully has an obvious answer...

I'm used to a different PVR system that has the concept of 'recording groups'- e.g. when adding a recording in the epg, you can set it to the 'me', 'wife', 'kids', etc recording group.

Then in the 'recorded' view, you can select the desired group and see a filtered list of recording, just for that group.

I've searched the wiki, read the manual, and so far see nothing like this. I'm hoping I'm just using the wrong language to describe what I'm looking for :-)

Thanks in advance,

Julian

  Trying to get HP dv5t tuner working
Posted by: joshuawood - 2009-01-29, 01:56 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (9)

Hi all,

I have a HP dv5t laptop, and am trying to get the DVB-T tuner working. I've had to add the details to bda.ini:

[HP DVB-T]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=HP DVBT Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=HP Digital Capture DVBT
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I took this info from graphedit as per a post on the wiki I found. The card now appears to be found, but when I "map digital channels" and it "scans for channels" I get no results. The signal is good where the antenna is, as I can get a picture in Windows 7 MC.

Perhaps I haven't set it up correctly or am missing something. GB-PVR is a lot more technically complex for beginners Smile

Attached are my logs as I've seen others do. I'm running XP Pro and trying to get NZ Freeview DVB-T.

Thanks for any help.

  Messed up HD-PVR Again
Posted by: Sandy H. - 2009-01-29, 01:56 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

It has been a while since I tried to record from the HD-PVR 1212 and now I get a black screen with audio. I had problems with the HDHomeRun between now and then and changed to the Cyberlink CODEC for MPEG2, but left H.264 as Arcsoft.

Tonight, I can watch live TV with good video and audio from both, but if I crtl-K to record from the HD-PVR, it goes back to the main GBPVR screen and if I choose to watch Live TV, I get audio and a black screen. Similar results for manual recordings.

I went back to recordings I have watched in the past successfully from the HD-PVR and they also have a black screen with audio.

Any thoughts?

Sounds like user error, but I have no clue as to what to change.

Sandy.

  Choppy Playback
Posted by: shanewho - 2009-01-29, 01:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I've got a Hauppauage 1600 and a 1.2 GHz processor on Windows XP Pro. I can watch live tv fine with the software that came with the tuner (WinTV), but gbpvr gives me choppy video that is out of sync with the sound (the sound is not choppy). The CPU is almost 100% in gbpvr. I've tried all combinations of Decoders and Renders that are in the dropdowns but still no luck. Is there something else I can or need to change?

  How long do recordings stay in the 'recent' list?
Posted by: time_lord - 2009-01-29, 12:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before... How long do recordings stay in the 'recent' list? I've been away for a couple of weeks and only the most recent recordings (6 days old) appear, but I know there are some recordings further back.
Is there some threshold (number of days?) after which recordings are not considered recent? And if so, can this be changed? (I don't mind hacking the db if necessary).

Cheers
