  AVI - deinterlace?
Posted by: jfm - 2009-01-28, 05:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have converted a DVD that just would not play in GBPVR to avi so that I could play it. It's not being deinterlaced upon playback, however. Is it possible to have the file deinterlaced when played, and, if so, where is the setting?

Or, must it be deinterlaced in the conversion, which I obviously did not do?

MCE remote 2005 version 2 natively supported by GBPVR?

I have the subject remote - As per the docs this is natively supported by GBPVR? Why do I need HIP?

  GB-PVR + HVR1600 + DTV Transition
Posted by: Modular - 2009-01-28, 02:28 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have a PVR-150 and an HVR-1600 in my HTPC and I'm wondering if I will be able to use the digital tuner in the HVR1600 to tune all the channels now when the transition occurs.

I know that I can use the IR blaster as well as a STB to keep the PVR150 in service, but now that the HVR1600 can record multiple channels (and assuming that it can tune the digital channels once this transition occurs), I won't even have to use the thing.

So, sorry to ask such a seemingly obvious question, but I just wanted to ensure that I would still be able to use this setup once DTV rolls out.

  Best Screen Recorder?
Posted by: reven - 2009-01-28, 11:36 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (12)

was just wondering if anyone has used a screen recorder before (app to record your screen and save it as a video file).

i found camstudio, but on a 1920x1080 display i only get about 10fps, which doesnt look all that good. was hoping for something more around the 25fps mark.

anyone have any suggestions?

0 byte Recording on Freeview HD
Posted by: mobiusnz - 2009-01-28, 07:07 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Ok - for some reason I got a zero byte recording trying to record American Idol (I only watch it for the bad auditions). I've attached the logs for the recording service (The are a little large) - the recording in question is "American Idol Continued" on the 24/01 at 20:00.

Can't personally see anything in the logs - I haven't installed any of the patches in the Survival guide for 1.3.11 as the only one that MAY apply is the multirecord patch but that seems to relate only to live TV and I never watch live TV I only record and playback.

Any help Greatly appreciated.

Matt

Setup?: No OTA channels in guild
Posted by: AZ_gbpvr - 2009-01-28, 05:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi, I'm have a Hauppauge 1600 that I'm trying to setup on my vista machine.

I'm using mc2xml to grab my EPG data. I have separate .dat and .xml files for analog and OTA.

I've setup 2 devices. One for analog(cable) and one digital (OTA).
I didn't have any problems mapping the digital channels to EPG channels. I have the tuning request.

I can't get the digital channels to show up in the TV guide. What am I missing?

PS My apologies for the typo in the title... a Freudian slip.

No video playback with HD content
Posted by: goplaycheckers - 2009-01-28, 04:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I am having trouble getting video to play back with recorded content. Files are just .ts streams, recorded with default settings in 1.3.11. Live TV is usually fine (although once in awhile i'll switch to a channel and get no video, i'll have to switch to another channel and switch back and it usually works.) I've tried Cyberlink PowerDVD8 and PowerCinema5, as well as the video decoder included with Nero 7, and can't get HD recordings to play back with video. I get audio, but the screen is just black. SD recordings play just fine.

Logs are attached. Thanks!

  HIP help with MCE remote
Posted by: vskatusa - 2009-01-28, 03:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

As per the guide "Adding GBPVR Commands to HIP"

says

select PLAY from "‘system keys / Predefined Keys’" - I do not see the PLAY key in "‘system keys / Predefined Keys’" - Am I missing something here?

MovieWiz not seeing DVD's on PCH
Posted by: Mr. Camaro - 2009-01-28, 03:12 AM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (23)

I've got my DVD's set up in folders like...

\\Computer\Movies\Dvds\Movie Name\VIDEO_TS

MovieWiz sees everything fine and I have setup the database, complete with movie art and descriptions. When I did a search, MovieWiz located the DVD's and then recorded the location as

\\Computer\Movies\Dvds\Movie Name.DVD

However, whenever I select a movie on the TV it tells me that the movie does not exist and asks me if I would like to mark it offline.

I can play these movies if I play them straight from the PCH but if I try to play them through GBPVR I get the error mentioned above.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong. Or does the PCH not work with MovieWiz?
