Whenever I update the EPG with my new xmltv file that I created with mc2xml, GBPVR does not show any shows in the TV Guide. This was happening before and I fixed it by deleting the temp .dat file mc2xml creates, but now that is not fixing it.
I tried switching to the slick skin, but the green leaf backgound doesnt show up.. just the same blue background as the other one.. any idea how to get that picture background?
I installed version 2.8 today. I found two bugs that I already reported for ML3, so I guess they are in the backend. (See hyperlink in my signature for full report of my testing. For your convenience I reproduce the errors here)
Random play with All/All selected (ML2 version 8.0.5.21941)
- Something funny happens to the end of the playlist. If the last track is reached, it is skipped and a new list is generated and displayed. This track nicely plays till the end, and then the following is displayed. However the sound has gone. It seems that ML3 hangs at that point. After a while the server starts hibernating. Queue (Yellow button) (ML2 version 8.0.5.21941)
- If one or more tracks are added to an existing(playing) queue, the whole queue restarts playing from the beginning.
Quote:- if you delete the last recording in a group in the recording ready screen, it now returns to the group list, with previous item selected (instead of returning to top of list)
She got very excited when I told her this as it's the one thing she moans about but it doesn't seem to work!
It still goes back to the top when you delete the last recording. Or am I missing something?
Cheers and thanks for the new release - other than the above a pain free upgrade as usual.
Went for downloading v8 ML2 (and ML3). Had similar folder issues as seen elsewhere but got it working in the end. Now doesn't play the first track twice, so big thanks for that, but I seem to have a problem with MLUpdater. The service wont start. No errors in logs or event viewer other than 'failed to respond'.
Went into config and Updater tab still had 'Use External Updater' ticked but the Install and Uninstall buttons are greyed out.
The service references MLUpdater .exe in the ML2 folder but I see that it now exists in common so I have deleted the one in ML2 but obviously now the services gives 'file not found'. How do I uninstall and reinstall for the new location?
Thanks again for your help so far.
just a couple of bugs/weirdness i noticed about the events:
first, thanx for the new startup/shutdn events..and the screen changes..
1.the dvd event returns different values depending on whether the user has 'AUTO' or a drive letter selected
[auto returns 'x:\VIDEO_TS' whereas when set in config to x: returns 'x:']
2.the dvd *never* fires a stop event...just a DVDPlaybackStarted event w/blank text string...
3.playing an audio file w/out stopping, then playing a video file, the audio stop event fires *after* the video play event...effectively replacing it as the most recent event...
finally got my development machine back in order, so adding some more stuff to the imon plugin...[like client mode access, lcdsmartie integration]
oh yea, and net radio doesn't work on client because the path isn't adjusted to client's point of view, works if you map same path on client tho..
didn't know if i should put this in 'wishlist' or not..
I am using a dual-tuner card (Hauppauge WinTV PVR-500). I've configured both tuners, one as Capture Device #1, and the other as Capture Device #2.Problem is, when I record 2 shows simultaneously, they both record, but partly incorrectly. Following are the results I get:
Channels Recorded - reversed between the two shows. That is, the .mpg file labeled with the name of show #1 actually contains a recording of show #2, and vice versa.
Recording Duration - correct for the shows as labeled, but reversed for the shows as actually recorded. For example, if I try to record a 30-minute show and a 60-minute show both starting at 8:00, I get only the first 30 minutes of the 60-minute show, and I get 30 minutes of extra recording after the 30-minute show.
I tried reversing the capture device numbers. This fixes the recording confusion, but it causes a problem with Live TV -- I can not change the channel I'm viewing. I guess this is because the channel changer is changing the channel on the tuner that is NOT being used for Live TV.
I'm sure there must be a way to get both recording and Live TV to work properly with dual tuners, but I can't figure it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
