I just can't get the channel logos into the tv guide. Everything goes smoothly through the whole Channel Logo Tool process according to the wiki page, but they just don't show up in the guide. I am running gbpvr v1.3.7 and mc2xml as my epg grabber. Please help...
I am having a little play with creating plugins and stumbled across something I can't figure out which I'm sure must be rather simple.
I wanted to create a simple board game - until I realised I don't know how to get the 'focus' from the buttons on the left-hand side onto the board. Is this even possible, and if so, any recommendations on functions to use/override or even some sample source that does something similar.
How does remote control input work with plugins? Can I 'see' the keys ('commands') pressed by the user or do I need to create multiple 'focusable' items?
Basically, I want to be able to move a highlight/selection box around the board.

I've read some disturbing things over in the support forums about this dual hybrid tuner. Still, I'd like to have some HD support, and I'd like to have the option of recording multiple shows at a time. For now, I still have analog cable, and apparently, all the major broadcasts on QAM (I did some googling for people in my area with the same service), so my plextor convertx still does me some good. But it won't always, and I'm looking for a purchase that will hold me over for a good long time.
Those of you that have an HVR-2250 or know about them, what do you think? Is it a bad card? Are the problems, like its ability to find and display QAM just related to general switchover growing pains? Is it software or hardware? Drivers? Or Transmissions? Will it all iron out and the 2250 will be a great card? Is Hauppauge good about supporting products with updates? I gather from other topics that people aren't sure about the 2250, but what do you think?
I also read some people blaming the internal splitter for possible blank/bluescreen recordings. I invested in an excellent line booster some time ago, and always had excellent luck with it when I was splitting analog cable between my PC and TV. Would that make the internal splitter less likely to kill recordings? Would that type of booster cause any sort of problem with digital signals? Might the problem be unrelated to the internal splitter?
As far as GBPVR goes, I've never had a second tuner before. If I were to get this, and then schedule a recording, would it give me the option of what tuner (one of the 2250s or my current convertx) I wanted to use each time? Or would it pick on its own?
Does Schedules Direct provide QAM data? I was just poking around in my listings and didn't see how I'd get separate epg info for them. Do people who use it just do manual recordings?

Ok, after a few stubles and a burp I have this working... Sort of..
Have a Haupage HVR-1600 (The one with the ir rec and blaster on the same cable) changing channels, wwith one exception... If i manually change the channel it works.. but, when it comes time for GBPVR to change the channel and record it fails.
If you saw my post in hardware (I think) I had issues with the blaster sending giberish but working with basterconfig... Well as I said it works when I change the channel in GBPVR, but when GBPVR changes to record it sends what looks like gibberish (The "flash" is fainter and does not appear the same as when it does work changing the channel)
I almost exclusively use the Video Library plugin in GBPVR and pretty much like it the way it is. However, I would be pleased to see some sort of indicator showing if a file has been watched, or any other method that helps track one's progress through multiple seasons & series (remembering the last position in every visited directory?). A quick search through the forums showed a couple similar requests but no corresponding solution.
The easiest way I can see to do this myself is to write a video plugin, making it as similar to the original as I can. I'm guessing that the relevant feature would involve creating a new skin.xml which uses a @textStyle property to be filled in with white/gray depending on the contents of PLAYBACK_POSITION in gbpvr.db3. That seems easy enough, but duplicating the existing functionality seems like wasted effort.
Configuring a MCE v2 remote with HIP 3.0.0.2.12 and GB_PVR v1.3.7 seems to be somewhat different to the setup guide unless i have finger troubles.
I am somewhat of a newbie to the programs and not able to piece it all together yet. Please assist.
HIP main configuration screen seems to auto populate when MCE is selected.
When using add value and pressing various buttons results in "This command has already been defined".
When there is a button that is not defined then the "System Keys / Predefined Keys" list is very limited. (0-9, Kbd, OSD, Profiles, Mute, Vol up & down).
Hence i cannot define up, dwn, lft, rht, etc - in GBPVR these arrows result in double movements.
Red key cannot be defined - error "HIP control key cannot be assigned"
I'm trying to find an alternative to Pinnacle's horrifyingly poorly designed TVCenter Pro, and GB-PVR looks like it would be great, but I'm having one really big problem. The TS files that it produces are unusable because they're so massive. I don't have several thousand terrabytes to hold them, so I tried to use the Autoconvert. The problem, though, is that I can't get it to do anything. I have it set to convert to Xvid ASAP and delete the TS files immediately following, but the TS files remain untouched and there are no avi files to be found anywhere. I don't really know what to say to give any hint as to why it's not working, but I'll post a picture of the settings in case I have something obviously wrong.
I'm not using the default directory for recordings, if that has any relevance. That's the only default settings that I've changed off the top of my head, other than configuring it to work with my TV Tuner (which is a Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick, if that has any relevance). I'm also using Vista Home Basic.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me out with this... I can't stand Pinnacle's software and I'd hate to go back to it, and GB-PVR has such a great UI!
I know I haven't given a lot of information but that's mostly because I don't know exactly what information to give. If somebody could give me any kind of hint to tell me what I'm doing wrong, I'd just really appreciate it.
