I opted in for the Silverlight service a bit too early as when use the Watch It now service while recording my recordings get messed up. I believe this is due to the processing overhead of the Silverlight player as opposed to the previous player.

Now that Netflix has offically rolled out the Silverlight player should both options work with the Netflix plugin? Also any insight on opting out of the Silverlight service with netflix would be awesome.

I am not really sure if this is HW or SW problem. Starting from background.....
I am using Skystar HD2 DVB-S/S2 which is rebranded Twinhan AD-SP400. To use this card I had to modify bda.ini, because original section for SS HD2 is incorrect. Here are oryginal and new sections:

(after some experiments I hope that there is even a chance for Diseqc to work correctly as for Twinhan cards)

And now the problem: there is no liveview (just black screen) when I start the PVRX2, there is correct view when you change the channel. When you change the channel back to the start one, the view is also correct.
Similar efect when I start timeshift, and then change the channel -black screen, no audio, no OSD. All is correct after next channel change.
I didn't observe any negatives for scheduled records. So it seems like the card is able to tune the channel correctly.
I attached the log files for LiveTV and LiveTV/timeshift. When there is a black screen an error in log appers every second:

I have two identical cards in my machine & have setup the 1st card and mapped all the channels. Is there a way to duplicate all the epg data etc to the 2nd card?

Apologies for not searching the forum more for these messages but the pathetic captcha kept getting in the way... that really should be made legible (obviously a vBulletin issue not a GBPVR one).

Anyways, I've just upgraded and have started again with my GBPVR configuration and seem to be having some major issues and was hoping some anyone with experience of setting up the following system on a Vista x64 system may be able to shed some light.

- Hauppauge PVR150
- Vista x64 Ultimate
- Composite input method

I've installed the x64 drivers for the card however I cant test with the Hauppauge software because it doesnt support 64bit.

When recording or viewing live TV I either get now picture, or a very broken up garbled picture within GBPVR, any ideas?

I know Hauppauge make terrible drivers so I just wanted to check if there were any known issues?

Any help very much appreciated.

I completed a successful upgrade to 1.3.7 and both Live TV and recording worked fine using my HDHR and Popcornhour. After a few hours however I began to get the above message when I attempt to map digital channels. I have rechecked my HDHR config settings, my bda.ini entries (both included in the logs attached). Config.exe.log reports an error "System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object" after attempting to use PSI parser.

I dont know where to go from here. Any suggestions appreciated.

I recently asked in the Wish List forum if Sub would add a way to specify the capture source when setting a recording. He said he wasn't planning on adding this option. Is it possible using Sqlite3.exe to insert the oid of the capture source into the recording schedules "capture_source" field and the recording would use that source? I have analog and digital sources mapped to the same channel and would like to be able to select which tuner to use.

I'm trying to make a plugin which is similar to the Video Library. I just want to add a bottom panel which will display additional information about the selected file (or maybe have it display when hitting a button).

I'm having trouble figuring out the layout of the application though. There isn't much documentation on the API. Therefore, I was wondering if someone had some source code similar to the current existing Video Library which I could take a look at. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, I plan to open source this using sourceforge or Google code once I complete it... that way it can easily help all future developers.

Hi Guys

I've got a slight problem with GB-PVR or Slimm GB-PVR, when the computer is loading up after a restart a window with an error message pops up:

'Slimm GB-PVR Helper error, Could not start GB-PVR Recording service'

The recording service is definitely running. I have uninstalled Slimm GB-PVR and then re-installed it but the error still pops up. I have completely uninstalled GB-PVR and reinstalled it from scratch but the error message still pops up.

I've had a look through the logs and I think this line in the log may have something to do with it:

[2008-12-14 13:56:02.317 ERROR [4] Exception whilst restarting recording service
System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot start service GB-PVR Recording Service on computer '.'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: An instance of the service is already running]

I've attached the full log, has anyone come across this error before I have searched the forums but I couldn't find anything.

I've been running GB-PVR on my XP pc for over a year and this has never come up I've just installed GB-PVR on my Vista pc and it pops up everytime I turn the computer on or when I restart it.

Hello, I have a MCE remote that works great except for certain keys. The "Mute" and "Previous Channel" buttons don't work. The are mapped at ^M and ^W. The keyboard shortcuts work fine, but they don't work on the remote. The keys on the remote controll are mapped correctly. I've installed Eventghost but it seems a little challenging for me. Is there another way of configuring the remote to work (via an .xml fine for sometime) or do I have to use EventGhost?

I use a 1.6M Pentium M with a Nvidia 7300LE.

When I set the graphics card output resolution to 576 Freeview (broadcast in 576) plays super smooth.

When I play back 720p content I manually change the output resolution to 720p and again I get super smooth playback.

Howeve if I leave the graphics card output set to 720 and then try and watch freeview (broadcast in 576) then it stutters.

This is become more of a problem when I get round to DVB-S and try and play back BBC HD in 1080.

Could I get around this stutter when watching 576 content with the graphics out put set to 720p by updating my processor. Or even better would a better graphics card (ati 4350 or 4550 - tried 3450 didn't work) allow stutter free playback.

Another way is to use automatic refresh rate changer and set it up for hot keys but I would prefer a fully automated method.
