I did a search but haven't seen this mentioned before.

All my channels scan and work properly with HDHR Manager / VLC. I have the tuner configed for Digital Cable, Other, and have done the registry edits.

My problem is channel mapping. Using either the Qam.ini Manager or the HVR1600 qam.ini file I am able to scan SOME channels. Only 7 channels out of 60+, but what's really weird is it lists them over and over and over again. Ever channel it scans, it adds the same 7 channels to the found channel list.

I am able to succesfully map those channels, and everything works fine.

So I'm guessing my problem is still the qam.ini file. Yet I have tried everything posted so far Would all HDHR's use the same qam.ini file? If so, would someone be willing to post their working one? Or is there something else I need to try?

I used to have the GB-PVR working fine on my Windows Server 2003 platform, with Twinhan 1020A DVB-S card. Recently I blown away the Windows Server 2003, installed the Windows Server 2008. The Twinhan DVB-S card's drivers were installed fine on the server, however, I am unable to get it working in GB-PVR for scanning channels from satellite.

Whenever I tried clicking the "Map digital channels to EPG channels" in order to first scan the available channels from Optus D1, I immediately got this error:

GB-PVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly, and not already in use.

The device is called "Twinhan DVB-S (DVB-TV 878 Digital Tuner Driver)" and there is no other service using it.

I ran the filtercheck.exe as Sub mentioned in another post, the got the filtercheck.log. Looked at the log file, GB-PVR seems to be able to find my DVB-S card if I didn't get it wrong.

Now I don't know where to go to further troubleshoot it and get it working. I am attaching the log file here.

OK, so I had 1.3.7 installed, configured, and working. Then I decided to try the new skin. PVRX2 locked up hard, and I had to hard power off the box. Restarted, and since then the recording service will not start, and gbpvr will not install or uninstall. At this point unless I can either get it working or figure out how to get it to uninstall so I can install it again, I'm faced with wiping the hard drive again. Not a pleasant prospect.

I've attached the gbpvr logs. There is also a log from the install. Hopefully someone (sub;-) can share their wisdom.

I have two issues that I want to report that I am not sure what is going on.

1. I lost 13.1 13.2 13.3 QAM channels WQED-HD and two sub channels. I looked in the logs and could not see anything that stuck out. I attached the logs.

2. 11.1 WPXI QAM has green "Slime" is about the only way I can describe it at the top of the screen. Watching a saw with not much movement it stays at the top only, sometimes with a lot of movement it will move down the screen and then back up.

Neither of these issues are seen in WINTV or through the QAM tuner in my TV.

I am running 1.3.7 with a Haupauge 2250. Let me know if you need more info.

Installed 1.3.7 last night, thought all was well. But when I tried my regular habit of checking favorite channels via TV Guide, and hit Play, then PVRX2 froze up with the vague outline of the program information screen still available. I gave it a few minutes but ended up killing PVRX2.exe and checking the logs. I can't find anything obvious, although I'll zip and attach the last couple of rounds of logs.

I can watch existing recordings OK.

PVRX2 isn't changing channels using my IR blaster & HipSend when I request an immediate recording via TV Guide, although the capture source seems to generate a file as expected. I haven't tried viewing my ATSC card yet.

The RecordingService picked up a program normally overnight, although now that I think about it the external channel change artifacts normally visible were missing.

The same system was running the v1.2.13 just fine yesterday.

Hauppauge PVR500 with USB IR pod and blaster
AverMedia A180 ATSC receiver (haven't tried this yet)

Any ideas?

This installer will install new Weather Icons with a modern style.
Also a new weather.xml will be installed.
The new weather.xml file will make icon naming compatible with MediaPortal and XBMC icon packs and other IconPacks compatible with the Weather Channel.
I'm will continue to work on the XML file so ot will get better and better.
You now have a wide choise of icons packs in the internet to choose from.

StartPVRX2 is great and saves me lots of grief! However, there is one thing that would put the icing on the cake for me.

GBPVR occasionally crahses and leaves a crash dialog box open, you know, the one that says something like "PVRX2 has encountered a problem and needs to close". The dialog box sits there waiting for someone to click either "Send Error Report" or "Don't Send".

Is there any way StartPVRX2 could detect this dialog box and automatically answer "Don't Send"?

When I click on this manually, StartPVRX2 successfully launches PVRX2 again. The problem is that the dialog box is not visible to the user, as it's on another screen which is actually another AV input on my TV which is only used to administer my PVR, so it's not seen.

I've managed to fix my HD video/audio sync issues, seems I managed to stuff up the NativeUtilities.dll (no idea how I managed it). Copying the patched one from the NZ HD/AAC thread and bingo my BBC HD recordings play back perfectly.

However I'm now running 1.3.7 and am not sure if the patched dll from there works too well. Trying to timeshift either BBC HD or ITV HD and PVRX2 crashes. Logs attached - looks like something odd is happening with AAC sound which I dont believe the UK HD channels use. Is there a version of this dll that works well with the PDVD8 fix and 1.3.7? I upgraded from the previous version but not sure what else I could have done to stuff up my dll. Either way after the upgrade the sound got out of sync and with this patch it works, but shame it crashes when I try timeshift.

My GBPVR PC is an XP box, but I also have a Vista Ultimate (64 bit edition) PC on my home network.

The other day I tried to playback a recording on the Vista box from my PVR recordings share. Media player crashed. So, I tried to play back any MPEG2 file and found that the system crashed on all MPEG files, regardless of the player used.

My Vista box has SP1 installed and is fully up to date with all the MS hotfixes. It's also very clean and has only a hand full of apps on it.

So, I do some research and it seems that many people have this problem and I can find no published fix. So, does the Vista MPEG codec even work? It sure doesn't on my pristine Vista 64 box. Is this a common problem?

using xp pro sp3 with the latest GB-PVR version
Using 2 analog cards -
1. pvr150 connected to STB via composite. this card is the main card, it is the top card in the capture card config menu.
2. Avermedia m785 connected with aeriel.

when watching live tv, the channels change flawlessly.
when setting to record a show, it would just start recording, without sending the right command to the STB.
I reproduced it and attached the logs.
