I have just rebuilt my computer with a fresh windows xp install. I had mediaportal rc3 working, but have seen the new gb-pvr build so I uninstalled MP and installed gb-pvr.

I have tried to setup the capture source, but when it does the channel scan, it doesnt find anything, then crashes at the end.

There is no card setup for the nova-hd-s2, but in the past I have used the hvr-4000 instance and this has worked. Doing the autodetect thing it picks the card up as the hvr-4000

Logs attached - can anyone help me get this working, on older gb-pvr's it has worked with this card (as a hvr-4000)

Now that mythtv, mediaportal and VDR have this, it would be a great feature for gb-pvr...

The ability to extract the EPG data from the sat stream for sky in the uk.

I dont know how they did it, but they have, in medaportal, a modified tswriter file, and a skyuk.dict file, and it extracts the epg data sent from a 'radio' channel that carries the info.

Does anyone that codes the epg handling know how they could implement such a feature - would be so good not to rely on xmltv anymore!

isohunt doesn't return matches from any searches plugin works on other two search engines.
Its also returning really quickly which makes me think its not trying or not waiting for a response as generally isohunt is quite a slow site.

Went to listen to the radio this morning and I get a 2 second burst of super fast chipmunk style audio followed by a 3 second gap, and then 2 seconds of super fast again.

It appears to be on Five Live mainly

I recently decided to upgrade to 1.3.7 as a clean install of gb but I am having tuning problems when scanning channels with my hauppauge nova t 500. It appears the scan sometimes fails to change the channels and is missing channels. I have checked the signal level with the hauppauge scan utility and athough the signal level is little down, the quality is consistently at 100% on all channels.

Any suggestions as to what is causing this. I did not have this issue with the previous version.

Is a codec required to play an m2ts (AVCHD) file or is it included in GBPVR.

As I said in my previous post I've just moved to Vista so I want to make sure this isn't something I've done in the move :o

The View mode keeps resetting to "List" view for me whenever I restart the app. This happens to all skins including blue.

Anyone else seeing this?

Well I finally took the plunge and switched over to Vista on my HTPC, and I'm slowly working through the quirks. With XP you could manually alter the ProcAmp settings for GB in the registry and I was wondering if anyone knew if it's possible to do the same in Vista.

Basically I want to alter the colour saturation of video played in GB, without effecting the desktop colour.

Any ideas?

I've been unable to install 1.3.7 on any of my PCs. The install appers to get all the way to validation, and then a rollback occurs. In the end I get the fatal error popup. At least everything still works after the failed install, so cheers to sub on that one.

It fails on Vista Business, Vista Home Premium, and XP Pro. All three PCs used separate downloads of the installer, and all three had 1.2.9 installed and working fine before the upgrade. Doesn't help to delete/move the devnz folder.

Can anyone point out where I'm being obviously stupid? :confused:

For demo'ing GBPVR on the PCH I connect the svideo out and analog out to the input on my HVR 1600, I find I get an unbearable likely ground fault related noise. When I disable cable to the 1600 it goes away. Any suggestions on how I might avoid this without using digital audio (I don't have digital in).
