I've just upgraded from 1.1.5 to 1.2.13 and now if I skip through a recording I get a broken up picture for a second or three, then it rights itself. I had this when I tried upgrading to 1.2.9 as well and reverted back in the end, so I was hoping it wouldn't happen again

Anyone experienced this and have any ideas what to do to fix it?

Post the quest on the forums and I'll help you through it. Also run the filtercheck.exe utility in the gbpvr directory and attach the filtercheck.log.

I've just gone from 1.1.15 to 1.2.13 and the upgrade seemed to break my capture sources. I had to go in and change the devices in the capture sources definition back to the Blackgold cards that they were before, they'd somehow been changed to some Hauppauge card I don't have. How could this have happened?

Is it possible to view a dvd thats in my computers dvd drive on the pch? Right now I have it set-up to play ISO dvd files but I was wondering if I would be able to play it right from the dvd drive.

I searched the Wiki for C# source of recent plugin's and it seems the one with source are all outdated.
Does someone know where to find a recent C# source example of a plugin?

I would like to make two simple plugins.
1: CD player. Nothing fancy, play, stop, eject, next, prev. The CD Ripper works but sometimes it behaves unpredictable and my wife is VERY intolerant towards unpredictable computer behavior
2: FM Tuner. I like to remote control the tuner in the FM receiver because it gives better sound quality then the PC tuner.

Unfortunately my system drive died in my video server a week or so back, so I am in the process of trying to rebuild the system from scratch. I was running 1.2.9 previously under Windows XP, but since I was having to start from scratch I decided to load up Server 2003 instead this time, since this machine is really acting as a server and I want to make it a backup domain controller, but I digress.

My problem is that I'm attempting to install 1.2.13 but it keeps failing with the following error: "Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\GBPVRWriter.ax failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel.":confused:

There are several other files that are failing with the same message after this, and of course nothing works. Any idea what's wrong? The system is completely clean with nothing by Windows, SP1, and .NET 2.0 installed. I haven't tried going back to 1.2.9 yet, but somehow I don't think that's going to resolve my issue. Ever seen this issue before?

I suggest there could be a new forum in which people can describe their GB-PVT setups, such as their use of:

1) hardware (CPU, chipset, video, remote, etc)
2) codecs
3) plugins
4) anything else

and why they chose those things, the plusses and minuses of their choices, and what they hope to accomplish/change in the future.

I think it would be very interesting to bring all those things together in a single forum, and would be particularly useful for newbies to see what other people are doing with GB-PVR, and the different approaches to get the ultimate home PVR system.

Hauppauge HVR-1800 fresh install of latest drivers
QAM channels
GBPVR 1.2.13 new install

I was scrolling through the QAM channel lineup using my mouse when the PVRX2 application just vanished. No error message, no Microsoft Report.

I then re-opened PVRX2 and proceeded to the live TV again and continued scrolling up and down through the QAM Channels. PVRX2 crashed again this time with the option to report to Microsoft.

Logs collected after restarting the GBPVR recording service. Includes the first and second event.

GBPVR configuration
Renderer: VMR9 Custom
MPEG 2 Video Codec InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder also tried and had the same failure with MainConcept (HCW) MPEG-2 Video Decoder (I had selected MPEG Video Decoder, but directshow must have selected the other codec
All other codes system default.

Using Live Preview Mode
Using <BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnLivePreview> true

I guess the next step would be to test with 1.2.9 and see if it shows the same issue, but I don't have the time tonight.

Starting sometime after May 28th, my scheduled recordings have failed.

Is there any way to directly launch the playback of a file through the command line with PVRX2?

I've had a look at the documentation on Command Line options in the Wiki, but there doesn't seem to be anything there that will do what I want...
