Can someone explain to me the Board Number settings for the tuners? I have 3 turners and is what I want to know does that have to do with the physical order of the cards attached to my computer? Or is it just a way for GV-PBR to track the number of turners?

Today was a rough day for me customer service wise.

I spent a large portion of today on the phone with Discovercard (apparently they thought it was a good idea to change my account # for no apparent reason) - end result - no they can't change it back, which meant I had to call my utility companies & change my automatic payment information.

On top of that, I've been haggling with Aluratek trying to RMA a hard drive for the past week (I guess haggling technically isn't correct since I can't get anyone to respond to my warranty requests).

I'm amazed at the prompt support we get here - for a free product. Sub has no reason to care whether we use his product or not, & yet he often responds within minutes to questions on this forum (not to mention the many other knowlegdeable forum members here) - and you can't get people you are PAYING for them to provide you with a good/service to give you the time of day...

I'm running 1.2.9 on XP with a Hauppauge HVR 1600. I'm only using the analog tuner with cable right now.

For some reason, whenever I go to the guide 3x or more, all the audio cuts off. Not just live TV and recordings, but the clicking of navigating thru the menus too. Everything. If I exit GBPVR and relaunch it, it works fine, but I'm trying to get my wife to use it too, and so it needs to work fully thru the remote. The program is great, except for this issue.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Is Config.exe the only way to set the default selection of capture devices for LiveTV and recordings? I am still in the process of setting up/tweaking this (great) program and, when testing/surfing, I want LiveTV to use the digital input of my HVR 1600 (to get/see HD QAM if available) - so the digital capture device needs to be listed second in the capture devices list (right?), but then I want GBVR to (default) to record with the digital input so the digital capture source needs to be first in the list. So maybe I just need to test/surf with one list order then use config.exe to change the order of the capture devices.

Have another query.

I am using the mvpmc dongle and am now very happy with the picture. The problem I have at the moment is that on all my movies there is a small lag in the audio. You see the folks talking then maybe a second later you actually hear the sound.

I know that it is not the files themselves as they play perfectly on the pc and on my divx dvd player.

All the movies have the same delay. Is there any setting that I can tweak to correct this?

Has anyone been able to adjust the picture on their PCH?

I noticed on a recent firmware release that hitting setup during play will allow the adjustment of color/hue/saturation/etc..., but to cycle through those you need to hit the up and down nav buttons, which changes channels.

Is there another way?

I just upgraded from 99.12 to 1.2.9. I'd not used PVRX2 or Web Admin previously. Really slick.

But (and maybe I'm just thick), I'd like to get the same EPG information on the PVRX2 TV screen (through MVP) that I see on the Web Admin (New show indicator, etc.). I'm subscribed to Schedules Direct, and have the Schedules Direct Utilities installed and working. What am I missing? Is there another plug-in or utility to make this happen?

Well, I finally relinquished my 0.99.12 install with My Programs Beta3 after reformatting my PC and updated to 1.2.9 with GameZone. I have most of the emulators running well enough to be playable, but I still have some issues to work out.

I use nullDC for Dreamcast emulation instead of Chankast since it is still supported and has higher compatibility. I set it up like I had it in My Programs using the PC Games tab & enabled PC Games. In PVRX2, when clicking on the PC Games button, the button responds but nothing happens (it just stays at the menu). I also tried clearing PC Games and using the MP3 playing example in the Wiki & still had no success. Is anyone else having this issue?

From setting up & using this plugin, I have also put together a wishlist of what I would like GameZone to be capable of. Here it is:

1. Functioning PC Games tab
2. A “Other Emulators” tab, that uses the setup of ‘PC Games’, but places that emulator in the left-side menu instead of the PC Games folder. (I realize it might not be possible, but I am not familiar with how GB-PVR builds its menus)
3. nullDC support for Dreamcast emulation (Not necessary if #2 is fulfilled)
4. Radio-button options on each emulator in the config to allow Gamezone to pass the configuration through to what the program already has set up (Not necessary if #2 is fulfilled)


5. HDTV resolution support: 1360x768, 1920x1080 (Not necessary if #4 is fulfilled)
6. Ability to rename & reorder the menu buttons (if that’s possible) [Kega -> Genesis, etc]

I trying to get the write speed of drives so I can populate a combobox. Driveinfo doesn't return this. Does anyone know how to get what speeds are supported by a specific drive via .net?

Is it possible to search for all programs by genre (i.e. no criteria, just search by genre)? This would allow me to view all upcoming movies, for instance.
