as i said i got it to work 1 time, so i was able to convert a dvr-ms file to mpeg but now it does the same thing as before (No more converting and just hangs when it gets to a certian size)

Not sure if anyone can help, please share any experiences you might have, also have tried a number of 3rd party conversion software like mcebuddy.

They dont seem to work either.

I am however able to use both the ATI and Cyberlink muxes to produce recordings with no hitch there except the ATI mux does not produce recordings that are stutter free, and the Cyberlink Mux produces a much better recording, although the DVR-MS recordings are the best and would like to just be able to convert those files to get the best playback possible.

PLease please please help, i love this program and i would like to fix this one last issue. I would be glad to help anyone in return and share my experiences

2 Hauppauge HVR 1600 cards

These send signals to two STB's. In Media Center they work fine. I am unsure how to get any of this working in GBPVR. I have previously tried GBPVR but had no luck. In fact, I totally screwed it up and I am starting from scratch. Take two, perhaps. So, can anyone help me go through this? Heck, has anyone got this to work themselves without buying something else?

I have subtitles in some of my downloaded .avi's and .mkv's, is there anyone to disable them in video library?

Had some issues installing, but got it there. Live tv kind of works - sound bu no video, but I'm normally connected RDP so i didn't expect video.

But I can't record anything. Just see an error in the record log.

Have tried blowing away the config and the db and set it up again, but no effect.

I can see the mpeg2 demultiplexer error and have tried re-registering mpg2plt.ax to no effect.

I received my $40 off cards for ATSC converter boxes the other day.

I see other's are starting to look at converter boxes.
I thought maybe a thread to discuss the different boxes we've tried might be a good idea.

There are a couple of selections in the $50 range where I live.

I've got a few months before my cards expire so I want take my time to make sure I can use my MCE blasters to control them.

Here are the lines of code that access the database

I then search through all the recordings for descriptions files names etc.

Would this leave the database locked?
If the plugin is still active would that matter?



This is crossposted in the skiptool forum, but I figured you guys might not see it there..

I recently realized that a 1080i@29.97 .ts file that I have plays ca. 14 seconds longer than the displayed duration for the file. MPEG2Repair says:

File Size Processed: 3.67 GB, Play Time: 00h:54m:53s
1920 x 1080, 29.97 fps (24.28 fps Telecine), 80.00 Mbps (8.88 Mbps Average).
(snipped the rest, but no errors)

and 00h:54m:53s is also the duration that PVRX2 shows, but funnily enough the video keeps running for ca. 14 more seconds after 00h:54m:53s without a change in the current time. The time stops, but the video continues.

I wouldn't care for this, but the subtitle files correspond to the "real" length and a 14sec difference makes subtitles (.srt file) come early by 14 sec near the end of the file.

Any idea?

P.S.: In case it matters, I put the first few seconds (20MB) of the ts file here.

I have added ATSC CC decoding to Comskip but before releasing I need some people to test.
Who is willing to receive a test version of Comskip, set verbose=10 and run Comskip on some recordings from various channels and see if the CC is decoded correctly?
The log file will contain the full CC transcript, it will also dump the XDS (such as V-Chip) data but not yet decode that data.
It should work on .mpg, .ts or dvr-ms files
Can not be combined with setting skip_b_frames != 0
It also contains test code to output a .srt file.

I'm pretty sure of this.

I'll get a few movies recorded overnight, then I'll go in, tweak the commercial timing, and Queue them up.

When I run the queue, I can no longer Delete recordings (I'm not trying the ones in the queue of course) or schedule new recordings.

My SkipTool.dll version says 1.0.0.7

First off, I have an istar hd mini 1.3.

There are two reasons I went with GB-PVR (and love it!)
1) All my movie files are DVD isos.
2) I wanted a thumbnail browser that was easy to get to and stayed as the default when selected. My younger son is learning to read; he can use the TV remote, but thumbnails work better for him.

GB-PVR provides both of these and so much more, thank you!

Now, a few issues. When I go to "Settings", none of the options will save. Selecting "OK" basically does nothing and I have to select "Cancel" to exit whatever setting I was trying to save. I really would like to have my photos displayed for longer than one second...

Second, I can browse my music just fine, but selecting "Play" and/or "Play All" does absolutely nothing. At all.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
