I had BBC Two Wales HD (SID 6912) scanned previously but it didn't work when I tried to watch it, so I deleted it from Device Channels and re-scanned but now it doesn't find it at all.
I can view the channel on my Freesat TV next to my computer and if I check the signal condition in the TV menu it shows:
Astra 28.2 E
10847MHz, V, 23000kS/s
...with a flawless picture. Signal Quality =10, Signal Strength = 10, Bit Error Rate = 0.00E+00
Hello, I am on Ubuntu server 20.10. Nextpvr installed nicely. As far as I can tell all folders have the necessary permissions and owner. I have the tuner card set up and all of my channels were brought in. When I click to play a channel from a networked computer I get the "Streaming failed transcoder exited". Looking at the logs I am seeing a "connection refused" but cannot figure out why. I have searched for two days trying to find the solution and if somebody could point me in the right direction, that would be great.
I attached my logs. If I may add, I have also tried to access it with Kodi and that did not work either.
Greetings from a Newbie!
Installed NextPVR a few days ago on Win10 laptop to check it out
Looking for replacement to WMC (Win7 PC w/4 tuners "died"). Primary use/need is to watch and record OTA TV to view locally (one device). Must work while on back-up generator power (i.e., NO internet or utility power). WMC worked fine until PC bricked... Tried PLEX but it was not working well for OTA TV. Was referred to NextPVR by MovieWiz (assuming member with that name here is same person!).
For now (testing while we work on replacement PC) using ThinkPad i7, M 620 @2.7Ghx, 8GB RAM w/Hauppage WinTV DuaHD usb tuner. Using my Schedules Direct acct for EPG. Browser = Firefox, Installed Lav decoders. Using Windows Client to watch TV.
Problems:
1.Had client running last night. Set up to record multiple programs on two channels (ChA: 8-10pm; ChB: 8:30-9, 9-10, and 10-11) while watching one of the programs (ChA 8-10) live. Client was left running for the night on ChA. This am client was locked at what seemed to be end of last scheduled recording (ChB). All scheduled recordings seem to have completed (haven’t watched them yet) but live TV was stuck with screen showing what appeared to be 11pm news (i.e. after stop of last recording on ChB). Went to MainMenu in client, Guide, selected different channel and LiveTV started up.
2.Have been watching LiveTV since and it has stalled/locked up at least once so far requiring that I go back to the Guide and reselect the channel to watch.
Any thoughts on what is going on or what I need to do different?? Log attached – hopefully I did it right!
Operations Questions:
1.When viewing TV on the Win Client, is there a way to look at the guide without losing live TV? So far all my attempts cause live tv to stop and then restart. Only way I have found so far is to open the browser and look there. Same question regarding peeking at available recordings while viewing TV in the client without losing what I’m currently watching (and the ability to rewind a bit if needed).
2.EPG seems “brief” (just over a day) compared to what I was use to with WMC (couple of weeks). Guide only seems to go out about a day or so and then either there is a black area for some channels or all show “no listings”. Makes it difficult to schedule recordings! Yes, auto update is set and scheduled for 4am but perhaps its not updating? Or there is a setting I need to tweak? (see screenshots but not sure that file attached!)
3.Are the “skip forward” and “skip back” times adjustable? Forward seems to be about 60 sec, back about 20, when using the mouse and >| or |< onscreen button but if using the right or left keyboard arrows it seems to be about 10 sec each direction.
Hi I recently upgraded to 5.2.1 (from 5.1.1) and the last part of my PostProcessing.sh script (renaming the database record following a directory move) errored out (see extract).
I record shows to a /TV_temp directory (on SSD) and then use the PostProcessing.sh script to move them to spinning rust on /TV_Recordings.
The simple fix was to change the database entry before moving the file, rather than after. Is the change in behaviour a symptom of more active checking of the existence of recordings / database pruning than before, or has the rename behaviour in NScriptHelper.dll changed?
The error existed irrespective of the AutoRemoveMissingRecordings setting.
An example of the error I was seeing in the logs was:
The desktop app is hanging up when you right click on the app and pull up the channel list on the context menu. When you select a channel the app says please wait and the tray icon goes red. After about 30 seconds the tray icon goes green and the app is still saying please wait. Have to close the app and reopen it. Only way to start it is to choose a channel from the TV guide and it works normally. Did a full clean reinstall and the problem persists. The previous version did not do this, just this latest update. I am running version 5.2.2.2.11017. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
Running Win 10 21H1 with all the latest updates.
Attached are the log files.
For some reason, the channel logos are out-of-sync in Kodi (see below). I have no local channels logo directory set in Kodi and I have tried multiple times to delete the Thumbs directory and texturesXX.db as well as Clear all the PVR data in Kodi but the logos are still off. Any ideas how to fix this?
Is there conflict resolution in v5? I looked through the web interface and could not find it. I had a conflict last night and cancelled one of the recordings. The remaining recording did not happen and still shows as a conflict error in the "Timers" view in Kodi and has disappeared entirely from the web interface (not even listed as failed).
nscripthelper.exe in v5 has an 'updateepg' switch, but not an 'emptyepg' switch. It would be great if this could be added when convenient. I need it even in v4 for my Schedules Direct + I-XMLTV enhanced guide listings to load correctly. I ending rolling back to v4 because of this.
I'm having the issue when going through NextPVR. I have LAV filter 32-bit installed and sometimes the pixelation is pretty bad. If I switch to the pass through input on my TV everything looks fine. Any ideas if it is a setting in LAV filter that is making things look bad?
