Forgive me if this has already been asked but would it be possible to configure NextPVR so that if one tuner fails to find a signal and the same channel is working on another source then that is used ?
e.g. Last night our roof aerial could not get a signal for DVB-T but the BlackGold tuner I use also has DVB-S and the same channel was working on the satellite feed.
I recently upgraded to 211017 from I think 210912.
Now time skipping (any length) is unreliable on recordings of UK Freeview in the Desktop Client.
Example if I do a 30 sec jump the file will either play after several seconds or not play again without using stop.
The same files are ok in Kodi.
I noted there was a change "Fixed an issue with skipping accuracy of skipping during playback of in-progress recordings".
I wondered if this change could have affected skipping accuracy of completed recordings?
Is there a way to have NextPVR create tvshow.nfo, episodeName.nfo, poster.jpg for recorded shows. This is what Kodi requires for episodes to display in TV Shows. i see it saves an XML in the folder but no .nfp

So my guide xepg xml contains images for every show, but I don't think NextPVR is using the locally cached images.
Plex, Emby, Jellyfin, Kodi(simple IPTV), & tivimate all read the following xmltv properly and display show images, but from what I can tell NextPVR doesn't?
I use xTeVe to manage my m3u list and xmltv
example:
Code:
<programme channel="348" start="20211101201500 -0700" stop="20211101214500 -0700">

10+ year GBPVR/NextPVR user. Finally took the plunge and ugraded from v4 to v5 following established guidance (backup v4 program and data folders, uninstall v4, install v5, restore npvr.db3 and config.xml, restore updateepg.bat, and postprocessing.bat). Most everything went fine.
My plan was to use the built-in Windows client (client/server has always been on the same PC), but I'm having annoying TVGuide visual issues (no problems with guide sources):
1. Genre colors. I saw in another post that customized genre colors from v4 are stored in npvr.db3. I can see them in there (since I reused my old DB), I have the box in the web UI checked to show genre colors, but they aren't showing. I even tried unchecking and rechecking the box and restarting the service. No joy.
2. Vertical Menu Style. Default skin works fine if Menu style is SlideOut or Horizontal. If I select Vertical and restart the client, I get a .NET Framework exception (attached). Windows 10 PC up-to-date and .NET client version is 4.8.04084.
3. Skin customization no-go. I found the Skin folder in Program Files\NextPVR\data\skin. I used to have fewer and taller/thicker rows in my TV Guide. Copied and renamed my old v4 skin that was setup the way I like. I can select it, but the number of rows in the guide doesn't change, the background doesn't change, and it has the same Menu Style > Vertical = .NET exception. So how to get my old skin recognized?
i recorded 2 hours of spongebob leading up to a premiere of an episode and instead i only have 12 minutes
the recordings were being deleted mid recording, what am i doing wrong?
I have the program working on my server machine but the remote control executable isn't working and it worked in version 4. I have a batch file called DirecTV.bat but it doesn't seem to work. I have it pointed to the file and the directory. So in blaster executable directory I have C:\program files\NextPVR\dtv.bat but as a say it doesn't work. Any ideas?
Also when I start playing live TV the picture comes up for a moment but then the picture gets very dark and dim. I can't seem to figure out what's going on with that.
One last thing I have the client software on my laptop and I want to be able to connect to my server machine and watch TV through the laptop. Is there anyway to accomplish that?
Not sure where to post this. It affects both the UI Client running the addon under KODI as well as the new Android standalone client.
There are some titles that appear in the All Recordings list twice with a small number of recordings in one and the rest in the other entry. For example I have the first entry for Arrow showing 16 recordings and the second entry showing 148 recordings.
I tried to look at the database to see if I could identify any data that might have caused it to group them differently. The only thing that I can guess is that it looks like the Event_details field for them have a different number of fields. I kind of recall that a couple years ago I had to programmatically build that field for some damaged records and they have a minimal number of xml fields included compared to the other recordings that grouped differently.
I Just noticed this after installing the latest NextPvr Linux server update. I though it was grouping correctly before, but I may just have not noticed it.
Was there any change to the SQL that generates the list of all recordings in that UI lately? They group correctly in the WEB page interface under Chrome.
This is an example of the event_details for an entry that looks like one I generated with the minimal number of fields. Is there something that stands out that would cause it to group differently than the more complete contents in the other records? If there is a required field that I missed, I'll figure out how to clean up my database.

If you want a copy of the database, let me know if I should attach it to a message here or send it some other way, but I strongly suspect that something in this field is the culprit.
Can someone point me to the API video streaming URL for both recordings and live tv as well as the possible parameters (transcoding, direct, etc.)? Thank you.
