Well now that i have the dish pointing in the right direction I an get everything working apart from tv3 and c4, I know these are on a different transponder but surely if I can pick up the other channels without issue from the satelite I should be able to pick up these two as well.
Tv3 and c4 are detected as such but tv3 will not allow itself to be accessed in pvrx2 while c4 does but comes up with a solid green top line and empty bottom line with the signal or cable missing popup.

It seems my dish still isn't aligned perfectly but with the meter peaked out there is not much more i can do, could it also be a lnb angle thing?

Is there any way of getting the current menu item as I'm scrolling the menu, entering submenus, selecting menu items etc either by event notification or timed query?

1. Will GBPVR work with one of these new TV Converter Boxes? I just bought one to see what channels we receive in our area but hadn't considered the other repercussions. Right now the Converter Box is inputting through component cables into an aux. input. Will GBPVR still be able to distinguish the different channels like this?
2. Another question that arose is regarding the internet. Our house formerly has A-B cable run to all rooms, do you think I'd find better quality service by connecting the cable modem to the B line, and the antenna to the A-line; or should I buy a diplexer and attempt to combine the two different feeds into 1 line.
I got my PCH yesterday and got GBPVR on it in about 20 min of work - so excellent job so far to all that have worked on it so far.
When I add the network share from the PCH using the browse method, the mvpmc automatically gets added as an SMB share. Is this just the default in the PCH, is it something to do with my home network, or something to do with GBPVR/MVPMC (this I doubt...).
On reading further, I learn that SMB connections have poorer streaming performance due to high overhead, and that NFS or http streaming might be better.
How do I do this? - do I have to manually type nfs:desktop\mvpmc (something like that)?
How would I configure it as an http streaming?
I guess I could use the myIHome software that they provide, but I would really like to watch stuff through the GBPVR interface.
For season recordings with a KEEP field set (e.g. just keep the last 10 episodes) does this apply to the show name alone or or name + channel.
I seem to have more recordings than expected but the same show name is broadcast on different channels (I have a recurring set for both channels, each with a "keep 10" set). The name is identical on both channels.
The shows are far apart, so it takes quite a time to sit and watch for them coming to work out what is happening.
I'm think of getting an nmt because my server can't handle almost any HD and I just bought an LCD 37" 720p set. I was thinking to move the server to some empty room and have it just record and use the nmt and my other pc client.
Here are the questions:
1) How do you load the gbpvr client software on the NMT? Please tell me it's not a BOOTP/TFTP dongle type of situation - I always HATED that about the MVP.
2) Can it play h264 stuff on .mkv containers (720p and 1080p)? What about .mov and .hdmov (this is primarily for cinemalistings plugin)
3) Does it NEED a hard drive, or can streaming-only work? I have a media gate device right now like the NMT and it doesn't need a hard drive (that's how I'm using it)
4) How long have U.S. customers been taking to get it from order to receipt?
5) Is the theme for gbpvr the same one the server has?
6) Is the resolution the same as the server for the menu? If not, is it 720p-ish?
7) Can you specify username and password for network share access? My NAS must have passwords or else it won't work.
I'm running the latest PVRX2 in Win2K and music playback locks up after one song. I've read a bit in the forums regarding remote controls then came across this post:
Is the patch still valid in the latest version or am I experienecing a new problem? I didnt finish reading all of the remote stuff but I'm using an RF remote via eventghost.
While waiting for me to "fix" my broken(?) nova-t, I disabled the channels on that capture source. But it seems that already scheduled shows are still being recorded on the nova-t. Is that a bug, or just "one of those things"?
Seriously though, can I force a reschedule so that the shows will record on my pvr-350 without removing the nova-t capture source altogether?
