In the interest of full disclosure - I'm attempting to run this on a Laptop with a 64mb integrated GFX card - but ONLY for the GUI, Videolibrary functions and interfacing with an MCE remote.
With the older GBPVR.exe, this all runs fine - with the new version I can't see all the parts of the menus, especially the text and the default theme colour meaning the menu's don't display.
I have a couple different Nvidia cards and I believe the Nvidia decoder hardware acceleration used to be available only thru the pure video decoder but now I heard that is no longer true and the latest greatest decoder is integrated within the more recent driver bundles? :confused:
Can anyone confirm if this is true? Is this how ATI users obtain their video decoder?
I have had gbpvr setup for a while with a win Nova t 500, and it has been a long road to get everything working.......just when i thought 90% of the pain was over, and my system was stabilising....I decided to add a technotrend TT3200 bdget pointing at 5deg west (AB33) so that my wife could watch tv in her native tounge (french).
After much cuffulle with sat .ini files I managed to combine the 3200 and French channels into gbpvr, but I cant get the EPG working.
For my normall tv (dvbt) I use xmltvgui and it works faultlessley (sp?), my first try with the sat card I used DVBepg, but I got either "no show details" in the epg or only the current program. When I did get current show details it looks like gbpvr is having trouble with the additional French characters i.e. accents etc..... So i started to look for an xml grabber, and this is where i got stuck.
I need a way of generating an xml file for 6 odd french channels, but it needs to be simple (like xmltvgui).
I have had a look at normal xmltv but i just dont get it?
What web site xmits french freeview listings?
what grabber?
I really could do with someone spelling it out for me.
I was wondering if it was possible to 'weight' recordings so in a conflict situation the weight recording wins!.
eg
Saturday I missed Dr Who because my daughter (bless her) was recording Charlie and Lola which started 5 minutes before Dr Who was due. Currently the logic says, record Charlie and Lola and mark Dr Who as conflict.
What I'd like is
Charlie and Lola 18:10-18:40 Nick TV (normal)
DR Who 18:15-19:00 BBC 1 (Must Record)
would result in
Charlie and Lola in conflict... and Dr Who recording....
Does this logic make sense to you and is it possible to code ?
I know more tuners whould help but I'm a hardware constained at the mo...

For the last couple of weeks my computer has started acting funny with all sorts of things happening. My 100% CPU issue is back when I use USBUIRT as a receiver. Last time that happened a restart helped, but not this time That aside, tonight several recordings have been missed. According to windows task manager, the recording service is still running.
In the attached logs, you can see at 2008-04-22 03:04:01.626 that House is pending for tonight (for right now, actually). At 2008-04-22 06:58:00.190 it says its about to record Backyardigans, but it was never recorded.
I don't know whether it's related (I don't really think so, since they have been in the logs every night for quite a while, and still things get recorded), but I see a bunch the following errors in the logs:

Another funny thing is the pvr2.exe-native.log, which contains almost nothing but a thousand new lines?
I'm starting to think that maybe a total reinstall of the machine might be good, but that's not something I'm looking forward to.
