I signed up with CTV to get listings, and I have nothing but trouble with it. I had it working for awhile, but now I can't get gbpvr to show the listings again. I've got 1.1.5, and I've applied the patch file. I can't figure out what's wrong, and it's frustrating. TIA for the help. --SK
Not a GBPVR question but a weird one just the same..
I've been trying to get remote desktop working to my wife's office from home for a couple of days without any luck. It will work from my office to her office, but not from my house. I don't ever get a logon when I try from home.
WINXP Firewalls on both machines are off. Router port 3389 is forwarded on her work router firewall.
When I try to connect from home to her, no conection.
I then forwarded port 3389 on the home router. She can connect to my machine from her work to home. This would indicate the router can pass the packets ok. Tried the other direction, no go.
I would have thought there was a problem on her side, but I can connect to her from my work.
I don't get it - Router is a DI524 on home side, WRT54 on her work side.
Any thoughts or diagnostics that you guys can think of?
I observed that when I play the VIDEO LIBRARY and depress F7 key the aspect ratio toggles to various mode - however this does not work when I play LIVE TV? Is there some config settings I should tweak to make this happen
I just downloaded GPPVR and run the PVRX2 using windows xp professional.
I did install the daemon tools and configed the app accordingly.
However, when I click on the ISO image under VIDEO LIBRARY I get the following message:
1. a small error window w/message "Invalid Device"
2. Another error window w/message Secure mode confirmation for command line: -mount 0, "{my iso file with full path}" with a YES or NO tab
However, the video mounts and plays if I press the YES tab!
FYI, I am using the latest Daemon tools lite version 4.12.3
When the video is running the OSD controls do not show up in the window if I bring the cursor to the screen! Has anybody had this problem?
GBPVR (old ui) -> VIDEO LIBRARY -> MODE (Select were movies show as squares at the bottom and when you click on one of the squares (folder.jpg image) at the bottom, the image is blown up on the top rectangle space above the squares)
However, the above functionality does not work in PVRX2 - The square images show up but when you click on the image, the image is NOT blown up in the rectangular space above!

I have just installed the GPPVR (so it is latest and greatest) - XP professional is my O/S
I'm sorry, but I can't remember and can't find the keystrokes that give you the OSD that shows the current video's display data like 1080i, etc. I believe it was new with 1.2.9
When I play a movie from moviewiz, the description doesn't carry over to the OSD while the movie is playing, is this the correct way it should function? When I hit the blue button I just get the filename, like filename.avi and no description.
If this is the correct way it is functioning, I would like to put in a feature request for this. I believe the cinemalistings plugin does this while you are viewing the trailers if you need a reference (or maybe even code).
I never used to have a problem streaming from GBPVR EWA to remote VLC clients. Recently I seem to be having nothing but problems.
I get a couple of seconds (sometimes as much as a minute) of audio/video and then it stops and eventually disconnects. When I look in the VLC log I get tons of
main warning: PTS is out of range (3504912), dropping buffer
main warning: PTS is out of range (3483578), dropping buffer
main warning: PTS is out of range (3462256), dropping buffer
main warning: late picture skipped (3579756)
main warning: late picture skipped (3561400)
main warning: late picture skipped (3528034)
ffmpeg error: more than 5 seconds of late video -> dropping frame (computer too slow ?)
I've tried several PC's, from a P4 to a Duo2 Core...so its definately not the PC. Any ideas why this has started occuring?
I've tried 128/256/512 and they all do the same. For Transcoding, WMV/MP4A/MPEG-TS seems to work the most reliably. That option sometimes runs for 5-10 mins
On a side note, is there any reason why all of my streamed programs seem to be saved into my GBPVR library? is there a way to have them auto-deleted or at least saved into the GBPVR Temp directory?
I have a popular BDA card which is a dual Dvico tuner DVB-T.
One tuner uses the PCI connection and the other by internal USB jumper.
The card works fine with the enclosed drivers and software.
when i setup GBPVR the channels are scanned and selected without issues.
When i launch the program however and go to select livetv the system pauses and stays on the main menu.
What have i not done correctly.
Can someone please help me as i love the idea of the program and need it to work to keep my family happy.
