I have a popcorn on order and I have a couple of simple questions that I haven't yet seen answered.

1. Can I use more than one Popcorn on one GBPVR Media Server?

2. When using the Popcorn as the client, is it possible to still use certain client-side plugins (say, TV Listings, or Weather) ?

It's all going horribly wrong.

I lost the ability to play live TV on the Nova-S so switched to timeshift playing.
Thak worked for a bit but now I only get a blank screen, no audio, when I watch TV. This is in timeshift mode.
I suspect its a codec thing - however when I select the codecs that worked before it now doesn't work. So I'm not sure how these things actually get used but I guess it's possible that the version have be changed by installing some bit of software.

The problem is how do I fix it?

I have seen some tools for listing and managing codecs - eg, direct show filter manager. What is the best tool for managing codecs, eg listing versions, adding and removing, etc. ?

I will post some logs later when I get back to the media PC.

I'm in the process of building an HTPC that I would like to be able to use as a PVR. Currently subscribe to Bell Expressvu satellite with their HD package. I'd like to know if anyone has any opinions on a good HD capture card that can be used with the Bell HD tuner.

Planning to get the following for my new PC:

Ok....I have my drive mounted that contains by DVD rips via the script.cgi. What do I need to configure in GBPVR to point to the dvd location and what do I need to have installed (if anything) so that I can start the playback via GBPVR through PCH?

I am having a problem with the audio sync after changing channels (during TVplay). When i goto desired channel though the EPG, everything is fine.

Sometimes the audio loses sync during tvplaying, but not often.

Any suggestions?

i have a (3...) mvp('s) with a scartconnector on its back. does it provide rgb or ygbpr signals on this connector?

I'm having a sporadic problem with my VBoxx Communications Cat's Eye 164e dual hybrid tuner card and GBPVR. It appears that the tuner card sometimes fails to initialize with the following error:

The end result is the typical 6kB file size recordings. In this case, the retry also failed so both the main file and the -1 file are 6kB.

I've uploaded a .zip folder with the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log file.

What does the SEM_TIMEOUT mean, and is there a way to increase the SEM_TIMEOUT setting?

This might be a resume from suspend issue with the system waking to record. Is there a way to control the system wake time before a recording starts?

What is happening? Is NativeUtilites.dll broken for Overlay manager in PVRX2?
DVD playback works fine using EVR in PVRX2 although a bit choppy and it also works fine in GB-PVR using either Overlay or VMR7.

What can be wrong? Please help....?!?

My system is an HP Pavillion with HVR-1800, Q6700, 4gigs, Vista64. Yesterday I installed GB-PVR for the first time. I did my first QAM channel scan and many channels were found. most were "unknown" but all my local stations came up. The video worked on all the local channels(I didn't try seeing what the unknowns were) however there was no audio. So I thought maybe I did something wrong while installing. So I uninstalled everything(HVR drivers, 2005 redists and GB-PVR, can't uninstall DOTNET because it comes as part of Vista64). After reinstalling everything I rescanned for channels and now no channels are found. I've tried several times(reinstalling and re scanning). Were the channels were found the first time(starting around channel 73) the Strength meter would show between -5000 and -7000(that is the same as it showed the first time when it found channels) and the Quality was usually 100 though sometimes was a little lower. But no channels are found.

Also assuming I can get this fixed I still have the no audio problem.
