I was using a Compro T200 TV card with GBPVR when I lived in the UK and it all worked fine for receiving digital TV. However I´ve now moved to Spain so I´m now using a Pace Digibox to receive free-to-air channels on my TV.
Last night I tried to link the Pace Digibox to the TV card using a scart to S-Video lead, and no matter what software I use (even Compro´s own ComproDTV) I cant get a TV picture on the computer screen, although using a scart to scart lead to link the digibox to the TV gives me a great picture. I seem to remember something about using scart to s-video but can´t find the post. Any ideas why it won´t work and what I can do to fix it?
Also, in GBPVR, how do I set it up to use a different input (i.e. the s-video input) instead of it looking for channels via the cards tuner?
Just installed 10105, and i'm glad to see the search back, however it doesn't seem to work on just mouse and keyboard.
Here's all I get when searching, and it won't go any further:
an upcoming show is trailed on tv, I like the sound of it so i press a button to capture the screen when the program name is displayed. It sends the resulting file to charachter recognition software, which in turn passes the most likely text to the gbpvr show search.....
Killer feature, simple on paper, but could it really be done????
But i did a recording about a week ago without the comskip files in the gbpvr directory. I then installed the comskip files and installed comTool and burndvdx2.
When i use either plugin and navigate to the folder where the recorded mpeg is located, nothing exists in that directory!
when i use windows explorer or play back the recording plugin it's there and works perfectly.
Am i being an idiot. Does comskip need to run on the mpeg first to be recognised by burndvdx2 and other com applications?
I get an IO Error and a PVRX2.exe.log "Not enough space" error when archiving to a nearly Empty External USB ?
Code:

It's a new disk, Buffalo 320GB, 300GB empty
Seems odd.
Erik (author of comskip) says if you want to get support for comskip to
Code:
Edit the .ref file such that it contains the start and stop [B]frame numbers[/B] of the commercials as you would like them to be found.
I've tried about 5 or 6 tools, MPG2CUT2, MPG2CUT, MPEG_Streamclip, VideoLAN, WMP, to just try and see the frame numbers but all I get is TIME????
Is there a freebie Tool to just SEE which FRAME you're in for Comskip Tweaking???
I know I can use Skiptool and comskipgui, but I'd like perfect cuts and comskipgui is tough going.
Videoredo will do the job, I know, but its $50. All I wish to do is see frame numbers about 4 times a year.
I'm all into doing back ups now, so....I would like to request an automatic export recordings XML function. You never know when your computer will konk out so you've made automatic back ups of everything...except your recordings. I was lucky last time as it wasn't catastrophic, so I was able to run an export recordings, the previous time however, no luck so I had to start all over again.

Tonight, I followed the procedure in this document to update my main HTPC system to GBPVR 1.1.5.
I did all of the backups
I did not have to use any of the backups
All of my recordings and other GBPVR settings were preserved
Everything in the standard GBPVR structure seems have upgraded perfectly, and is working, The only exception is an add on, my FireFly RF Remote.
My Firefly Remote has stopped working
This is probably due to Windows. Windows has almost certainly assigned a new Program Identifier to GBPVR or PVRX2.
This is standard Widows crap problem. I am not sure if the is any long term solution
It is irritating but generally not hard to resolve.
If you Use a Firefly Remote (I think this is a small subset of GBPVR users):
There is a Firefly Remote Profile Instruction in the Wiki
This XML profile is likely now not compatible with the new release.
I will will try work out a fix/upgrade for this Firefly Remote XML profile to support the latest GBPVR release
I will then update this Wiki section to fix the problem.
May take a couple of days, (depending on how much I miss the Skip function of the Firefly Remote)
Otherwise, the upgrade worked perfectly.
I am actually writing this post on my PC, while watching a recorded GBPVR playback on the connected TV.
I have UbuStream 2.2 installed and have it configured to point to VLC on my hard drive. When I select Web Streams or Web Radio, it launches VLC but I never get any audio or video, and have to kill VLC to get the remote to respond again. Any idea what I am doing wrong?
