First of all I read the survival guide and did the patches.
I got a trial account on SchedulingDirect.com and used my username (not my e-mail address) and password. As soon as I hit "Updat EPG" I get the following error:
Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again.
System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.
Thank you for all the hard work you have put into this. I've tried the mvpmc dongle in the past and it didn't look quite ready at that time.
I gave it another shot last week and all I can say is that my stability has increased 2x-3x over the Hauppauge dongle! I used to get 'contacting server' consistently and now I don't
I'm a newbie with GBPVR and have been trying to get it working on my Vista Ultimate PC. I have a Pinnacle Dual Sat Pro PCI card which is DVB-S.
I have installed GBPVR and changed the BDA.ini to reflect the settings given by filtercheck. However, when scanning for channels it shows Signal Strength 0, Quality 0. I have tried this card with MyTheatre and it works fine.
I have recently switched over from the temporary Yahoo Go for TV utility (not the API one) enhanced by I-xmltv to SD with I-xmltv (from the wiki). The yahoo utility with I-xmltv was a really good combination, and gave me some things the old I-xmltv for Zap2It did not.
1. Is is possible to have I-xmltv for SD change the titles into a sortable format (i.e. "Simpsons, The" instead of "The Simpsons")
2. Is there a way to change the new show marker to something longer than one character? I tried to change it from "*" to "(New)", but it showed up as "(". I assume that means it is limited to one character.
Any help you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
Is it possible to set up a second PC in my house that can use GBPVR and use the tuner in my first PC? They would be connected over my home network.
I have searched for instructions and haven't been able to find anything. The Wiki appears to skip right over that topic too. I know there is the check box to "enable as client" in the config, but how exactly do I set this up?
I want to set up an old PC in my bedroom as a client to my main HTPC, and hopefully be able to use the tuner in my HTPC.
I have directv and the Wintv150PVR. Suddenly, SD is identifying A&E (265) as 2014 and History (269) as 2015 in the guide. This particular directv box is not HD. It is also identifying A&E as AETVHD and History as HSTRYHD. It did not used to be like this and simply changed w/o me doing anything. Any thoughts?
I am building a dedicated HTPC with a mix of new and old parts. I have purchased a Gigabyte uATX motherboard with HDMI support:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...6813128056
It has an integrated Hi-Def video solution: ATI Radeon Xpress 1250.
(I have downloaded the new integrated 7.9 Catalyst Drivers for XP-32bit and the Avivo package.)
I have used GBPVR before, but always with my gaming rig that have(had) NVidia cards. Their solution is easy: PureVideo. Does anyone have any experience w/ATI and GBPVR?
Also, could someone recommend a codec, if they are needed.
I've upgraded to use PVRX2.exe from GBPVR.exe, but now the power key on my hauppauge remote now launches multiple copies of PVRX2.exe, rather than bringing the system 'focus' to it.
What else do I need to change to make it gain focus when pressing the power button ?
