Okay, I know everyone thinks this hardware is crap and at this point I almost agree. The problem is both my machines are low profile, so capture cards aren't an option; even if they were, I don't have any available slots. Also, I like that I can hook the TV402U to any machine. Anyway, The problem I'm have is changing channels, it doesn't work. If I change the channel it just goes into a continuous loop until I exit Live TV and then go back in; after that it will be on the new channel. If I change the option for preview mode it works. I know others have had this issue and supposedly got it working; however, after following their steps and many others I have not had any success. I haven't even fully used gbpvr and already I love it. I will glady make a donation if I can just get this to work.
Thanks

Would it be possible to change the config so when you save
if you just want to update playback settings and appearance stuff
that the recording service didnt have to be restarted
Does anyone have a procedure for renaming shows? I've search the forums and can not find a way. I know I can edit the database, but not sure that I won't break some dependency. I use AddEpisode and it works great, just that some show titles make the display unusable. Thanx in advance for any input.
Having just rebuilt my PVR system from a motherboard crash, I decided to go ahead and just install v1.08 and reconfigure. I now face a couple of problems that have me seriously perplexed.
First, after installing and configuring my PVR-500 card, I tested it and everything was OK. Once I onstalled my HVR-1600 and configured [i]just the analog side[/u], all of my channels come up as nothing but static. the EPG updates properly and all shows up corrctly in the EPG, but when trying to go to live tv, nothin'. Removing the card and capture source restores the channels.
Next, I decided to go ahead and try to configure the QAM side of the 1600, but found that when I went to the BDA configuration for that tuner, even though I selected the QAM option in the dropdown, the "Type" box on the BDA config screen stays stubbornly at "ATSC". I've verified that the proper drivers are installed and that my card is of the proper model to support QAM, but cannot figure out why the BDA config doesn't agree.
As an aside, both cards were working under 99.12, including both the ATSC and analog sides of the 1600.

Me again. I've had a bit of spare time to go back to my GB-PVR system (which works - 0.99.12). I've run in to a bit of a problem.
My intent was that the PVR would go into standby when not in use to save energy. I find that it does go into standby at Windows XP's request except when there is a recording pending (even if the recording is hours away). Once the recording is done, it does go into standby.
Is there any way I can get it to go into standby except when a recording is imminent, say 5 minutes away?
1.0.8 runs poorly for my configuration (dual monitor- gb-pvr being run on a secondary widescreen lcd- usually not run at full screen). Even the 'old' gbpvr.exe doesn't seem to run as well on my config as 99.something had been for me. Me being the dolt I sometimes am did not back up the previous version I was running before doing an OS reinstall the other day. Any repository or place to download previous versions?
Here I post the first public version of a plugin for burning recorded shows on DVD-discs. It is similar to Showburner with less features, but it uses its own graphical interface for composing DVD and supports only PAL.
I have an MCE remote and a DISH stb that I need to control channel changing with the MCE IR blaster. I would like to use Event Ghost to send the IR signals to the STB but I'm not sure if Event Ghost can use the MCE IR blaster to send signals to the DISH stb. I played around with it for a while and it doesn't seem to have a plugin for the MCE blaster.
Does anyone know if Event Ghost can do this? If so, is there documentation somewhere that explains how to set it up?
I want to add svideo and audio input ports on my front panel of my case in a 3.5 or 5.25 slot. I wouldnt mind having a memory card interface as well. I've seen adapters from frontx but they are expensive. Anyone seen any adapters for this for around $20 US?
