I am trying out the Dscaler5 decoder and a have a couple questions. I am trying this on a laptop with intel950 integrated graphics in an attempt to get that computer to run pvrx2. This decoder has given me the best results so far when running pvrx2, however my video is still slightly choppy (frame rate seems slow). When I hit the video decoder settings button under the playback tab in config, there is a few second pause and then the config shuts down (box just disappears). I was hoping to be able to tweak this decoder to get pvrx2 working on my system.
One related note...with this decoder, I have better luck with pvrx2.exe than pvrx2.exe -fse. This is opposite from all the other decoders I have tried (intervideo, cyberlink, mainconcept, gpl).
I have been trying the QAM recording on a new HVR-1600 by reording from SD channel and at the same time on the HD channel on the same card. When I schedule the standard channel first it will let me schedule the HD QAM channel without conflict. However, if I first schedule the HD QAM channel and then try to schedule the standard channel it gives me a recording conflict. Any thoughts on why or how to fix this?
Sub - Overall a spectacular job on new release 1.08. Works great on new install on Vista. First time I was able to use multiple MVPs without connection issues. WOW! Thanks!
Hi,
I`ve decided to upgrade from my USB DVB-T and buy a PCI Twin tunner for use in the UK.
Anybody got any recommedations that work well GBPVR.
Also If I remember rightly (I`m in work at the mo) GBPVR supports 2 cards for hardware video decoding, are these much better than software decoding or is it they just use less cpu.
I been having problems with decoding software latley just wondering if these cards would resolve it too
I'm not sure if it's related specificly to GB-PVR but here goes.
My setup is GB-PVR 1.08 on WinTV-PVR350.
I'm having a problem (lately) that a few minutes after starting LiveTV, the playback just stops.
Same problem when recording shows - they record a few minutes, sometime only few seconds, then stop.
I'm not even sure where to start checking first.
I'm working on a clean windows installation, with ffdshow (but tested with divx & xvid codecs installed instead - same problem).
even tried different pvr solution, like MediaPortal - same problem.
anyone ?
thanks in advance
Shlomi
Last night I wanted to watch something that was supposed to be recorded yesterday and found that the recording had failed. I looked at my recordings screen in EWA and found that I had very many failed recordings, all of which were on future dates. I deleted all of these and also deleted the recurring recordings associated with these. I tried to reschedule these recordings but I received a failure for the upcoming recordings. I'm guessing it's because these recordings are marked as deleted? I scheduled a new recording for a program I've never recorded and it recorded just fine. Also, I rescheduled some of the recurring recordings on a different channel (I have multiple NBC, CBS, ABC affiliates) and they scheduled fine as well.
Recently I mistakenly changed my gbpvr box's date to one month in the future (August). I rebooted, did a few things and then changed the date back to what it should have been.
Any ideas on what can be done to fix this? Will this 'auto correct' itself and only affect the recordings that were scheduled that had information in the database at the time of the time change, or is this not the problem at all?
Im trying to install ZProcess and I run through the steps in the Wiki and keep running into a problem when trying to run ZProcess on time. It keeps telling me that the file tabctl32.ocx cant be located on my system. I have been searching around and it seems a bunch of people running Vista are having this issue. I have tried downloading the files on the wiki that include the tabctl32.ocx but I install and nothing.... I tried another way just to get tabctl32.ocx and I install and nothing....
Anyone in Vista having this issue??
**Edited title to reflect new post #4 and that new error.

Long shot I know but I am trying to get as much of my stuff working on IPv6.
Think of the prestige, only PVR that supports IPV6 web interface and streaming.....
I've been using my HVR3000 for 2 months receiving the NZ Freeview. Recently however I noticed that a few of my recordings (dvr-ms) have dropouts and play only in spurts. The recording also fails to transcode to mpg.
It this because of the recent bad weather? Does GBPVR detect errors in the MPEG stream as it writes to file?
I ran this program the first time. I than went into PVRX2 and couldnt find any icons. I ran it again, so I could note which programs would have an icon, went and searched the guide for the shows with downloaded pictures... nada.
So I went to the media directory and there was no art folder.. I thought hmm, where is it saving these pics. I searched my whole computer for them and turned up blank. I created a art folder in the media folder and ran it again. It still says they are downloaded now.
Is there some txt file telling the program that its already downloaded the pics? Maybe if I erase it and run it over, now with the art directory created it would work. If not, than I dont know where it stored these pictures but it isnt on my hard drive...
Are custom tasks working in 1.0.8? I've added a few to the list but they don't show up in the menu on the MVP or on the PC. They do appear in the list in the config app. Thanks!
