I was able to import my channels via the IPTV XC option. However, there is no EPG data - isn't that data available via that server/port? If so, how do we get it to show up in the guide? If its not available, what are my options, SchedulesDirect? Looking for the easiest and most dynamic option, so when my provider changes things I'll have minimal changes or configs to update. Thank you!
I recently upgraded to v5. On 2 occasions I have received the "Root element is missing error." for programs scheduled to record. I was able to confirm that once this error occurred for a channel, all subsequent scheduled recordings for that channel failed. A quick record for a currently broadcast program on the channel succeeded but a subsequent scheduled program on that channel did not. I'm using a Hauppauge quad tuner. I upgraded to the latest drivers for it some weeks ago. Rebooting the PC seems to correct the error. During the upgrade i first ran the uninstall for v4, ran the v5 install, then copied the DB and config.xml files to the new data directory replacing their counterparts. The recording errors occurred on different channels. I believe on both occurrences I was watching a previously recorded program from a different channel. Perhaps that was delaying access to some file needed by the recording service? BTW Bitdefender blocked access to running the wscript invocation of the vbs file during installation. On initial launch of nextpvr win10 client, following pc reboot I sometimes receive "unable to communicate with server". relaunching the client seems to resolve that glitch. Other than these intermittent failures v5 seems to be working great.
Hello all, I have a HTPC running Windows 8.1. I would like to watch live TV and possibly record some of it within Kodi. Can I just install an USB DVB-C TV-tuner in the machine, and install NextPVR (or maybe some alternative?) on it, as well as the addon in Kodi, and be able to watch my channels live, and maybe record some of it?appvalleytutuapptweakbox
I'm looking to do some LP's for PS3 games (Uncharted, The Last of Us, etc.) but I need a good device to capture the gameplay. What would you guys recommend? I'm willing to spend about $150-$200 on one, but I'd like to know the pros/cons of the good ones and figure out which one I should get. Multiple opinions are always good.TweakboxAppvalleyhttps://vlc.onl
This is a very small point, however, I occasionally play some "old" games that seem to fiddle with resolution. I've observed that the Nextpvr tray icon gets totally "fuzzy" after a while. I can fix this by right click "exit" and then launching NPVRTray.exe again. As I said, this is a small point and not worth too much effort, but thought I would at least mention it. My other tray icons seem to be OK.
Just wondering, is there any way to record something that isn't in the TV guide ?
e.g. you hear about a new series you want to record but its not actually going to be broadcast for maybe a month, is there any way to tell it to record, wherever it may me, Resident Alien, or whatever.
Everything is working really well for live TV except I can’t see the recordings in the Recordings Category tab. The recordings are on the NextPVR server folder itself, just not visible in the UI. A couple of old re or dings are there from a previous version of Kodi and the plug-in but that’s all.
For the web app, would like to suggest showing the "New" designation when listing the results of a search. Or, may add a "New Only" criteria for searching.
I've officially moved away from wmc for my windows 7 htpc. I have mostly everything set up an working . Having a minor issue with nextpvr. I am able to do instant recording in kodi but it won't set anything for the future. I can exit kodi and set them on the backend but was wondering if that's the normal process.omeglexender
