I have my GB-PVR 99.13 running in Windows Vista Home Premium... and is running fine but i have two problems and can't find a solution...
The first one is that don't mind which codec for audio/video i select because allways uses the same one. I've tryed with Nvidia, Cyberlink, Microsoft, and System Default but allways appears the Nvidia and Matroska icons on the SysTray.
The second problem i think is the same, is that when i see Live TV i have audio and Video perfect but when i record some channel, the result is allways one file without audio. I've tryed with different Muxes, TS Mux, Microsoft and Cyberlink (this one generate files with 0 Kb) and no success... The file is without audio in GB-PVR in WMP and MCE.
In other programs all works fine, Prog-DVB, Alt-DVB, MyTheatre.... can record and the result is Ok...
0.5.1
* Added guide mode. (enabled by default) Drop a video on the script and you will be presented with a series of questions on how to transcode the selection.
* Added support for x264 encoding. Quality(crf) and two-pass mode is available. The container is AVI which was chosen both to make it easier from GBPVR to open the files and because it's still the best supported container in mencoder. (Lavf(mp4 container) doesn't like B-frames which is a problem if you want to use x264.)
* Twopass file size is much more accurate now as it parses the EDL file to get the exact commercial length.
* Added option to keep ac3 audio. If you want to keep ac3 audio from a DVD or HD show setting keep_ac3audio=yes will copy the ac3 audio to the new transcode.
* The script will display some info on the file before it gets transcoded. (Total length, show length, and commercial length.)
0.5
* Added dvdrip functionality. Note: mplayer/mencoder will try to parse the DVD structure but some DVD's need a decrypter like AnyDVD or DVDFabDecrypter(Just leave it open in the background) to allow for parsing.
* Added a profile for PSP's using firmware 3+ that uses h.264AVC for the encoding
* Debug mode gathers more info.
* Added option to remove the closed captioning (static) from the top 4 pixels of the show.
* Fixed a bug that would cause a loop if cleanup=no. (Thanks Agerdin)
* Added a option to transcode at same resolution as original file. (set SD and/or HD video width to FULL)
* Re-enabled IVTC. The script is set to perform IVTC on all files by default. The vast majority of video will benefit from this. Specify any files you don't want IVTC performed on in the non_ivtc_patterns line. This all can be disabled by setting output_fps=auto.
* Re-labeled SDfilter and HD filter to "deinterlace" which is a better description.
* The script will not perform deinterlacing on 60/24fps files and 720x1280 material (because it shouldn't need it.).
I installed Zprocess a few days ago, I love it! Especially the MAC recognition.
I notice that on my two processors (2GHz each) Zprocess uses 100% of one and ffmpeg uses 100% of the other. (ffmpeg usually behaves like this.)
Is Zprocess.exe supposed to behave this way?
To me the two most important steps in getting the MediaMVP and GBPVR is working are to
1. improve your network performance
2. use the dongle appropriate to your needs
Once you find a dongle you like or if you want to try an alternative there is also the mvpmc dongle, but I suggest finding the best Hauppauge dongle for you.
It's free web space so I'm not sure what kind of bandwidth I have.
My old bedroom TV recently died, and I had an extra monitor laying around, so I decided to run GBPVR from my computer to the second monitor. Unfortunately, I can only run VRM 9 Custom as my Video Decoder, which cuts off some of the picture (not a problem usually, but very annoying watching sports since the scoreboard is usually cut off). I've tried running Overlay Manager but I only get sound, no picture. Is there anyway to fix my image? Here are some specs that may prove helpful:
I have managed to get my old PCTV Pinnacle Conexant 878A card working using the ATI decoder. It records with no issue at all but when i pause Live TV it Crashes GBPVR.
It does write the data to the disk before it crashes.
When i hit pause the screen goes green or black and then hangs untill it crashes.
I can play DVD discs fine with the DVD button that is present by default; but I don't have much for controls to fuss with playback- 2X forward, FF/Rev would be nice, without going entire chapters back.
I can switch to VLC when I need to do that (we skip around a bit in DVDs to find segments to use to in a classroom setting) but I wondered if I were missing something obvious; or can you mostly just skip ahead/back via chapters and not any other means?
