  Blank Screen when Live TV??
Posted by: fivefive - 2007-06-12, 04:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (28)

Hey guys,

I have just received and installed my Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1110 TV card (the triangle shaped one). I have then installed the drivers for it and installed GB-PVR.

Right the main problem i am having is that there is no Live TV Sad , its just blank screen with nothing. I have already setup the capture sources as BDA Recording plugin, using DVB EPG broadcast and No channel changer.

I have also scanned the channels, and I can receive many channels as the little preview screen show and a list of channels are available.

Anyway, I have been wondering if anyone know how I can watch those TV channels please??? its just blank screen in the Live TV, even though the "Show Status" is telling me that it is broadcasting BBC1 Live... etc.

Many thanks,

five

Step by step - How to use HVR1600 remote with GBPVR (Help please)
Posted by: jmilcher - 2007-06-12, 03:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Greetings all! Long time lurker and searcher here, but I have not found the simple answer I was looking for.

I searched the WIKI for hours, and have found good relevent info, just not what I need to know to make this work correctly.

I am trying to get my Hauppauge HVR1600 remote to control GBPVR.

I am starting from scratch for the third time around, nothing is installed, no drivers, not the 1600, nothing at all besides my basic drivers and video card drivers.

Windows XP, rig specs in my signature...

So what needs to be installed and in what order? If I have overlooked a tutorial somewhere, I apologize, I have searched for hours. Can someone please give me step by step instructions, or point me to a helpful tutorial that explains this in GREAT detail?

I really appreciate any help I can get, thanks

  Sound Card Audio Inputs
Posted by: amadams - 2007-06-12, 02:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Is there a way to set up GBPVR to use the audio inputs of a stand alone audio card instead of the audio input on the capture card? I have a Creative X-fi Fatality sound card and would like to use the digital optical line in to connect the digital optical out on my satellite STB. It looks like Hauppauge WinTV will let you do this.

  Upgrading
Posted by: Orbital - 2007-06-12, 02:49 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Sub,
I currently run Version 0.98.13b on a Windows XP Pro
installation. Is there a new version out and if upgraded
will I see any new features or performance increases.

Upgrades always make me kinda nervous when I have everything
currently working fine.

I have .net 2.0 installed but after reading what goes on with
NOD32 is makes me a little scared to upgrade. I have NOD32 running
currently with no issues.

If I should decide to upgrade do I need to uninstall then reinstall
or just install over the current installation.

Thanks for the Support, love the program !!!

  Audio Lag
Posted by: mayankel - 2007-06-12, 08:52 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi.

I've installed GB-PVR one month ago and i love it.

I'm using this software basically for TV and recording with Hauppauge HVR-3000 and HVR-1300 and the picture quality is perfect but i have audio lag 1-2 seconds. Not allways, but every time i make zapping i have this issue, as when i program one record too.

I'm using Cyberlink 7.3 for video and system default for audio but have tryed any audio codec (Nvidia, Cyberlink, Ffdshow, MS, System default...) and noone can resolve the audio lag. I've read in other post that maybe Ffdshow could do the audio lag but i need ffdshow for post-process.

Any solution?

Thanks

Watching other types of videofiles on GBPVR
Posted by: ks67 - 2007-06-12, 07:56 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (37)

I wonder if its possible to watch other types of videoformats on GBPVR than the standard format GBPVR uses to record TV. I try to play AVI, MOV, WMF and DivX compressed files without much luck.

I use version 99.12 with a Hauppauge 350 card.

Knut

Auto start TV mode at startup
Posted by: 5497 - 2007-06-12, 05:55 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi,

First of all, GBPVR is a great HTPC front end. Been using it for 3 years now.

I want to know is it possible through GB editing/config or Win XP registry editing to start GB in TV mode right off the bat. In other words, when I start GB, I don't want the initial menu but rather go directly to LIVE TV mode.

Thanks!

  99.12 - Launching Config problem
Posted by: dorbak - 2007-06-12, 05:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi folks,

I've reinstalled (on a new machine) GBPVR after a few months hiatus.

Unfortunately, when the "config" launches, I get the following:

Code:

System Pref:

Windows 2000 SP4 (all latest updates as of June 11, 07)
Hauppauge PVR-150
ATI Radeon 7000
SB Live 5.1

As far as I can tell, I have all the necessary drivers for the card(s) installed.

If I click the 'continue' button on the error, I get the config screen, but every dropdown is empty. I have no codecs installed (yet).

Thanks for any assistance.

If you need any additional information, feel free to ask Smile

Eric.
